I wonder if Rivix is a spy, regardless, if they put a kill option on Rivix I will rage-quit. I'm sick of kill options for potential romances m(or kill options that don't make sense). Both sides are long overdue a force using LI (that's not Arcann). Or rather kill options on the male romances (yeah, I'm still annoyed by in-your-face-all-the-time-Lana and Ashara's return).
At this point, I'm pretty much sure Rivix is being set up for a kill option. Since "devs waifu" is so hostile toward him, and "she does not wrong" according to the devs, they're just preparing her being right about him all along, and him meeting the appropriate end.

Regarding the start of Elom with the Rivix cut scene, I HAVE QUESTIONS!
Rivix enters and says "which way to the victory celebrations" and I chose the flirt option for my character who responded "I would ask if you wanted to join me for a swim, but we'll have to get you dressed for it first" what the whatting what? Did I miss something? What's the context? What celebration
Swim you say? Where's the pool? Rivix in swimwear?? What is happening? I think that
he just refers to the victory on Manaan, and a swim, since Manaan is an ocean planet.
Sadly, I found this "flirt" option extremely underwhelming and dry.

I already have an IA who I'm looking at pairing with Rivix, I love having force user/non force user couples. I'm curious to see how/if a saboteur romance could possibly work or if it'd be shot down in flames and then I'm totally here for all that drama.
Fem IA and Rivix can be especially delicious to people who played Dragon Age. VAs combination is just *chef's kiss*
I have one ready for him too. She's been ready for over a year now...

I think betray is inevitable BUT I wish there would be an option where we can talk Rivix into turning side and become OUR Hand.
WE ARE the Hand. He's just a messenger between us and the empress/emperor.

I read that article and can't help but wonder: is the dev is on purpose keeping details obscure not to reveal any spoilers for future content, or they really introduced him without any direction and someone thought "he looks intriguing, I'll use him for something!"
She's written him wonderfully, so I hope she keeps on without stupid betrayals but with the intriguing part.

Yes, those files are in
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\settings
Where "C" is your actual drive
and "username" is your actual username.
Make sure you mark "show hidden files", as "AppData" is hidden.

The plan for Arn being a romance was also mentioned during the last livestream (eww but each to their own), so agreed it's only fair that Rivix is made a LI for us fanatics Empire side. With a lightsaber to love indeed, however you've made us want Rivix-whip with your fantastic drawing
I'm sure he can be skilled both with his lightsaber and a whip O:-)

I agree 100%, I can still remember the amount of hate that Koth and Theron got for their "betrayals" (and lets not even go there with Quinn because that's a whole new level of insane). I'm glad Theron is still around but Koth is all but gone. One of the worst things that happened was the ability to kill companions because now whenever there's a new companion it's always, "so when can we kill them?"
Would love to see him stand by our character if push comes to shove, and more force using male romances will never get a no from me!
Edgelords were so "I hate him, he doesn't change his life-long beliefs after a minute of conversation with me, how dare he, what a gall!!!111eleven!!!"
Making Rivix romanceable would be only fair, since it's a plan for Arn, according to a tweet linked in the Arn thread. The Empire wants a guy with a lightsaber to love, or the Empire goes all Sith passionate over devs' behinds LOL

I didn't question his loyalty to the Empire and Acina/Vowrawn. He clearly enjoys being a Sith and all.

Most of my "rant" wasn't directed at you, but more growing out of your quote, and a general comment on how I see so many other people comment "he'll bertaaaaay meeeee, I want to killllll hiiiim".
Even if he turns against us, it's not betrayal, he's not loyal to YOU (general you, not you Dilinrae you
). Players get so butthurt when an NPC has their own mind and doesn't always agree with them, and doesn't kiss their arse.That is what I was referring to. I fear he might turn on us on the Empress's/Emperor's orders if things go wrong. I'm totally pro-Empire/Sith, and I dread the possibility. I love how things are currently going with my MC and the Empire, I'm so happy that I finally could return to my home and reclaim my rightful place (f*ck Zakuul).
I'm also being super nice to him and flirt whenever possible, I hope it'll work out.
I also hope it'll work out, too. For one, I'm tired of "betray you again!" tired plot, and also I'd love to see Rivix, in spite of being clearly not fully open and forthcoming, staying by out side regardless of all.
As fully pro-Empire (I dissolved the Alliance and re-join on all my character, except one "experimental" to just see how saboteur works out) I feel exactly the same.

I finished the Secrets of the enclave FP, and I already got strong traitor vibes from Rivix.
We'll have to strongly disagree on that. I get no traitor vibes from him at all. He seems to be fiercely loyal to the emperor/empress, and willing to co-operate with us within his purpose (don't forget he doesn't work FOR us, just WITH us).
If he goes against us, it won't be treason. It would be because his goals (or rather emperor's/ empress's, really) don't align with ours any more. From his point of view, we might be refusing to co-operate with the ruler, which means with him; we'd be in the wrong and unworthy ally/Hand. He doesn't owe us anything. He's just a connector between the ruler and us, but follows the ruler's orders, and helps us because it serves the ruler. And he's very loyal to him/her.
Which is probably why I like him. He's not a footstep of PC, not a minion of PC, but his own self. He's not do to what we tell him, he's got his own agenda, he doesn't reveal it, and that makes the whole situation interesting

In which case BioWare would simply remove the flirt mechanic from a Bothan (example species) Player's choice wheel.
Which in turn would set the forums on fire because players playing Bothans would not be able to flirt and romance their chosen companions.
Not working DS corruption on Nautolans upsets people, and it's "just" visuals (which can be still very important to many people for all kinds of reasons). I am certain restricting story elements would not go any better.

It was like he was mesmerised by his ability to inflict that kind of pain on someone, to the point that he ignored the commander. He's lost in the enjoyment of is, like he's fascinated by his Sith dark side. It reminds me of Jaesa when she turns to the dark side. I wonder if like her he's new to the Sith and enjoying it like she did.
Or perhaps in his diplomatic service he just couldn't. Killing people for fun is not good for diplomatic negotiations

This! The idea that none of the female force user LI's were male force users in the original 1-50 story still annoys me to this day. Don't get me wrong I love Quinn and Iresso especially but my DS force using ladies (especially my Dark V SW) wouldn't settle for anything less than a powerful force using husband.
We're long overdue to one and it'd be nice if he was to stay for a while to hang out together, instead of a 5-minute cutscene to be never seen again.

I can't decide whether Rivix was mildly amused or bored when he choked that arrogant Pub soldier in the enclave FP. He did it like it was a daily routine for him. By the way, it was ridiculous that 3 common Pub soldiers thought that they could beat 3 force users (if your character is a Warrior/Inquisitor). Well, good luck with that, boys.

He really couldn't stop himself, he enjoyed it, he silenced the soldier (in case you told him to stop)? Maybe I'm overthinking this and he's just a Sith doing Sith-y things XD
Also, I still can't unsee that his Force grip looks like he's squeezing private parts of that soldier.
Major Anri was a lot smarter, just surrendering after recognising the "Commander" (Pub side Mek-sha story). She knew her odds. She's still alive now.
These guys? They had that coming

Many of us are wondering if Rivix is a fallen Jedi. I'm really hoping they give him a really good story and give us lots of interactions with him as he hinted at after the FP briefing.
I also agree that Rivix would make a better romance option than Arcann (let's face it, his romance was a huge disappointment and I wished I hadn't bothered). Since they added the flirt option for Rivix this time, I'm hoping they really did listen to us during the livestream, as they said there was nothing planned around a Rivix romance but they were thinking about it with Arn. I wonder if they were surprised by how much love there would be for Rivix and his VA. If they do add a romance option with Rivix, it had better be longer than that with Pierce and more meaningful than that with Arcann.
I am quite sure that the scene and flirt option was a done deal by the time of the lifestream, so I wouldn't see it as proof they listen.
However, I DO hope they listen, because I want to melt that scheming heart and scheme together.
And give him cries (and more Sith-y abilities) and add him as a useful companion to run around with.

I don't think Arn's creepy; he just looks wrong doesn't have the mystery or anything else Rivix has. Well, except a first name. Anyone any idea what Rivix's first name might be? Or is he just "Rivix"?
For all we know, it might not even be his birth name. Like Darth Nox and Darth Imperius, etc.

I'm not sold on his look but don't find him hideous. His personality (and voice) are enough for me, turns out
That said, I love that he's BT1. We don't see them as comps, and I kind of love that he's smaller even than my girls (I only use BT1 for fem toons), and especially in that scene at the end my boys tower over him (and they're only BT2).

This changed when they reworked how eyes work a while ago. Solid red eyes at DSV are now orangey eyes with orangey reflections.
