Well, being only level 31 I would strongly suggest creating either a new character on TRE or buying a server transfer for 90 CC to move your current character to TRE. It is very easy and cheap now still, as soon as you start building up your legacy and strongholds over multiple characters it becomes very expensive and difficult to move. The benefits of playing on a busy server is just to great to pass on. The GTN auction house functions properly because there are enough people buying and posting items for all level ranges. Difficult to find armor sets from old GTN packs are available on the TRE auction house albeit at a very expensive price. The not so busy / dead servers' auctions houses are empty in comparison. When trying to do end game content which requires groups, you will also much easier find someone to join up with on the TRE. Waiting for hours on a dead server kills it...

Sorry, forgot to add to your question. You need to make sure that the EA account and your SWTOR are the same account. A similar issue happened to me initially. I had to create a new SWTOR account with the same details as my EA origin account (or was it other way around...) Anyhow try that.

Hi JSteyn, I am also from South Africa. Hope you get your issue resolved. Did you just start playing? If so, my suggestion would be to not use your lvl 65 boost but rather play from level 1. The level 1-50 class stories (all playable as F2P) are fantastic and really fit into the Star Wars Universe very well. Also be sure to create your characters and legacy on 'The Red Eclipse' EU server. It is the most populous and there are always people around to do something with. The other server are quite dead and empty.

Just came from seeing it, awesome movie. I made sure to avoid all and any possible spoilers, and the movie caught me by surprise. Will go and watch it in IMAX next weekend.

Because what are the alternatives? Having both Imp and Pub using only the most advanced Death Star type planet (maybe even later on star) destroyers; waging war by only a press of one big red button on a console at a time. Or by indulging in aggressive negotiations with a light saber one on one with a disagreeing group of individuals? Personally I would go for the aggressive light saber negotiations. And at least for the Light Side, using less advanced weapons that are not of mass destruction limits the casualty rate of civilians .

The crew skill vendor don't have lvl 220 bracers and belts to learn that can be RE'ed. So how do you get these plans? EDIT: NVM, for some reason they showed up in my list now...

Hi all I am currently leveling (lvl 57 atm) and have three gathering skills. The skills I have are: 1. Archaeology 2. Scavenging 3. Slicing I try to send my non-deployed companions permanently on missions while I am playing and by doing this my crew skills for all three of the above are about 400-420 atm. I have been selling the mats they gathered on the GTN and have been making a profit doing so. I was thinking keeping all three gathering skills till level 70 and maxing them out in order to get max level resources. Also I will sell everything I get on the GTN until I start getting max level reagents. The thing is I like crafting and being able to make my own gear in MMOs. Seeing that I am a JK, which crafting skill / skills should I take and when? Also where can I find recipes for the armors so that I know what reagents to not sell and start stockpiling for my own crafting skills? Is the above sound, or is there a better way?

Great reply, I only started playing a week or so ago and I am really enjoying the game. Thought I would come to the forums to read some cool posts about this game when I am not able to play. However 99% of the posts are toxic and just people complaining about everything and anything. If you spend a large amount of time in any game you eventually get burned out on the content. When this happens just acknowledge all the great moments you had and do something else with your time for a while. It doesn't mean the game is bad, you just had your fill.

Subject says it all. Where can I get Obi-Wan style robes for my JK? What are they called in the game?

Hi all I have a Geforce 1070 and I am running on Windows 10. Every single time I exit the game I only get a black screen. The computer is not frozen as the numlock and capslock keys still work and I can also RDP to the machine. Only why to get the display back is to press the power button which initiates an ACPI shutdown of Windows. I then have to boot up again. I would prefer not to have to do this workaround. Is anybody else getting this issue and is there a workaround? I Googled, but it seems that most people had a problem with a black screen on startup and not shutdown.

Hi All First the game seems enjoyable. Not sure why all the negativity? I starting playing on and off since about a week ago. I am still only in chapter 1 and I am already level 54. Just started on Tatooine now. I have some questions now that I understand the game a bit better. 1. If it says for instance "Tatooine: 52" at the top left of the screen, does that imply that on my server there currently are 52 players on Tatooine? Thus there is no cross realm function in SWTOR? 2. Given the above, should I re roll on a more populous server if I plan to stay in the game for a couple of months (maybe even years)? 3. I rolled on a RP server as in other MMOs the RP servers tend to stay more active after the hype of a new xpack (or the new SW movie) waned due to the server population not just playing the game for PVE and PVP. Is this the case here as well? 4. Will I out level myself from content and block myself from completing the class quest line if I continue leveling at the current pace? Seems I could hit max level before even starting the first xpac... 5. Should I leave professions until after I completed the story in the game as they can be grindy? Also I am playing a JK and like to play the "Paladin" type archetypes in games. However my companion Kira seems to be luring me in to a romance situation. This forces me to choose options I feel are IC against the Jedi code (understandably so as attachments can cause a lot of problems ) Quite eager to see where this will lead to.

It starts this before logging in to the game with my account. If it is downloading something it is highly unlikely that it is account specific. It most probably is an rsync type of file that it uses to compare with the local file to see if the game state on the server and the game state locally is in sync. Thus that no new patches have been applied. This is fine, but why on every single launch? If it did it once a day (maximum) or twice weekly, no problem. However currently if you open and close the launcher 10 times in one day it is 450MB down the bit drain.
