  1. I agree to an extent that premades aren't the problem. The problem is 4 players grouping together, ignoring objectives completely in order to hunt other players in packs (usually with a guarded PT and a ranked tier healer). Don't say they contribute to winning with their awesome DPS, I have literally capped the door under their noses more times than I can count because they were too busy chasing the other 3 players to fluff their dot spreads. Interestingly these groups very often loose which is fine. What makes the game not fun no matter how well you know your class and your dcds is to face tank/healer/lethality/AP every game and not be able to put a dent in them because guard swap and heals and get globalled by burst and dots. The worst is that their healer most often only heal their groupmates and the tank only guards their group mates so the game isn't even fun for their teammates. Yes I can survive and play around them, yes I can win the game, but without my own tank and healer I can't face them directly even if I know my class fairly well. Imagine a well oiled grouped ranked team going against 4 dps (even very good dps or even 3 dps/heals) it would be a carnage that would be over in about 1 minute, that's the state of some warzones nowadays.
  2. Same here, clicked to login and got the 'login unavailable, please visit forums'
  3. Quick gearing question, for Assassin Deception, should I keep stacking crit after reaching 3.3k (42.5%) or should I switch to Mastery ? If I stack crit, I hit 3.9k, otherwise the 600 get put in mastery. (this is for PVP)
  4. Require at least 20 screenshots of games above 5k for single target and 8k for dots dps, 8k for heals and 4k for tanks. I mean who are we kidding those pesky solo queuers can't damage. Nobody has got time for tanks who are not burst dps. Completion of a obstacle course, people who can't move in PvP are the worst. Banning of back tracking move button in PvP and mandatory mouse turning enforced by webcam surveillance. 12k dummy parses for all classes. Gotta know your class.
  5. Strategic use of phantom stride/holotraverse in Voidstar is absolutely not hacking, it's due to the other team stupidity by standing so close to the edge and smart play from players doing that. It's absolutely not hacking as it is within the realm of possibilities defined by the map. What you are doing is excluding smart stealth players by discourse, excluding them from the norm and placing them in the zone of non-being through the epistemic normative use of the discursive term "hacker."
  6. Assassin Deception 6.110 K DPS (I know this doesn't beat the hatred scores but just wanted to put it here since Deception is single target) https://imgur.com/a/KGsjLeT
  7. Hello, I basically only play sin deception in both regs and ranked (I am not that good at ranked but I get around), I kinda stopped playing ranked this season (did some grouped rank when it popped). My advice is similar to the ones before but I have two suggestions to add. Basically, when your pop arrives immediately stealth then take the pop, that way opposition cannot target you and put signs on you. Then don't engage until everyone else is fighting. In solo there is generally a lack of co-ordinated target switching so engaging a bit later will mess up the enemy plan at least for a little. When you engage immediately go for your full opener then pop shroud if you feel you are being focused: that sould mitigate at least some burst. Always use overcharge saber in conjunction with Surging Charge as it will heal you much more. Also when you stealth out make sure you have a force speed ready in case the other team has the reflex of AOEing. Finally you should always use the ability that gives you a 3 second shroud on your force cloak, that way you can't get unslteathed by force and tech when you escape. Know your maps and where you can hide, regen, and re-engage. Best of luck
  8. I have done all of them. I used to never rage quit and take the loss, but sometimes I am just in a horrible mood and I just rage quit to calm myself and preserve others of my fury (ironically). I only tell people they are bad if they are trolling or provoking others in ops chat, and I might drop a slight comment about carrying, if I get more than double dps of the next teammate. I have also tried to direct hopeless groups to win, or just done my thing till the end (try to get as many solos as possible for example. However, if there are competent players I have won against much better teams with careful skill and applied pressure but with 7 randos against a double premade that is virtually impossible.
  9. Essentially I agree with you, just that some classes cannot do more than 10k because they don't have AOEs or DOT spread, or because they are melee and in PvP every second of damage matters. (Essentially no class has a single target parse higher than 10.5 k so to go beyond that you need AOE spam/DOT spreading.)
  10. Again deception has got no AOEs. In that very game (where hoppin got 14k) the maximum it could have done is about 9k, depending on apm, misses, dcds, kiting, and uptime. It absolutely doesn't matter that lightning is 5% down, it has relatively strong AOEs and is all yellow damage which means you can run with 0 accuracy and no misses.
  11. And lightning sorc is a AOE Spec as referred above ... please find me a parse above 8k for deception or concealment, I will wait.
  12. DPS is really class dependent and should be compared by classes. DOT/AOE specs can pull above 8k with relative ease as players tend to stack. Now pure burst specs with no AOE (deception, concealment ...) cannot do more than 8k. Have you ever seen a deception sin pull above 8k in any context ? The max would be 10.5k with perfect uptime 0 misses, 53 apm, and at least 2 healers cross healing a static target (otherwise they would melt, even a single healer). DPS number only mean things within their context. You can brag with a 6k as deception, but 6k as vengeance is only above average.
  13. I solo queue as both; usually solo imps are a bit more competent while pubs have more healers and tanks as stated above, it makes it fairly even as people struggle to kill each other. For results it really depends on where the premadre are at. If you are queuing at the same time (I mean you get your pops at the same time) as reverse faction premade you will almost always lose. I do both solo and premades and basically premades only lose against other premades (at that point bad pugs are the deciders if the skill are pretty much even between premades)
  14. Grim, definitly agree with you about factions, I did not mean to say pubs are better lol. I fact I don't recall losing to pubs that often except in specific premade cases. Also the very best players seem to be imp or at least play imp alts. I am just too soft for solo queue I suppose but I definitely miss the Shadowlands days in term of quality of matches those morning matches in between 8 am and 12 am were always a delight
  15. I guess I mostly agree with you, I now stay away from solo and queue with friends cause I can't stand the lack of objective play. Today I was solo queuing for the bigger part of the afternoon and there were some horrendous blunders. We cap east and west in yavin, we have 5 at mid. Both sides call incs, nobody moves, we lose east and west and then cap mid and lose from a winning position. Again Yavin, people trying to cap mid when we are under heavy fire at an offside. We lose that node. I wish games like this were the exception, sadly they are mostly the rule. Solo queuing is bad for my heart. That being said there are some really good players on imp star forge (like most of the Shadowlands hard-core pvpers, most of them play smart). Sometimes i miss the days of Shadowlands PvP except the queue times
  16. With bolster at 242 the gear gap has been massively reduced. I queue in 230s with my second assassin and don't really notice a difference between this and my BiS main (maybe 2k less damage on my mauls and discharges which is not a big deal). The other problem you might be facing which is more of a reality for most of us if team imbalance. If you run into a group of 5 good players as a sorc you are going to get chained stunned globalled, always use your sorc from far away and when your teammates are around you. sometimes when the team balance is totally against you you will get globalled no matter where you go. Also learn your procs and your rotation to build big hits (I can hit 10k with force slow, there is no reason your hits can't be above 20k even though lightning hits pretty low). Basically use your class as a support class, don't try to be a hero, kite any melee trying to get to you and use your slows/CCs/Dcds. Utilities are crucial I would recommend you take stun bubble and insta-whirlwind as they help with kiting. Now I don't play sorc myself but I know all this from tunneling sorcs and seeing what is the most annoying as a melee. Read class guides, Dulfy has a bunch of them for both PVE and PvP they should help you know what to use in what situation as well as gear/utility set up. Here is the 4.0 lightning sorc pvp guide http://dulfy.net/2016/01/04/swtor-4-0-lightning-sorcerer-pvp-guide-by-dacri/ and here is the 5.0 sorc PVE guide (best for rotation) http://dulfy.net/2017/02/02/swtor-5-0-telekinetics-sage-pve-guide-by-sion/ And here is another guide for Telekinetics sage for 5.0 https://torcommunity.com/guides/classes/jedi-consular/jedi-sage/telekinetics Also ask good sorcs when you see them for advice. Best of luck to you, And I might see you in a WZ someday, I target sorcs whenever i see them
  17. You can probably solo the Vet Flashpoint with a LV 50 Comp (a guildie of mine did, I can't really be bothered to try but I might to prove my point ). So I don't really see the point of Level req. Just queue with friends if you wanna do it or do Master Mode.
  18. My bad should have read that better. That being said I did enjoy warrior story somewhat but not as much as inquisitor.
  19. That would only encourage win trading tbh. Why the hell would people play ranked if they had to win 10 matches to get any mats when they know the 2 teams in queue who have done ranked since season 1 would just farm them into oblivion. No mats for losing would encourage people to queue when no one is queuing with their guild and share the spoils. Currently it takes 4 losses/ 2 wins to get 1 mat and 20 losses / 10 wins to get 5 mats which I believe is fair.
  20. The knight story is so cheesy it makes me cringe everytime. Only the very last part was enjoyable the rest felt like a super hero movie where you have to save the world every *********** chapter. Inquisitor's is much deeper, better crafted story of character development through the manipulations of the sith. I enjoyed it much more than knight. The only thing knight has better is in the comp department. Inquisitors only has Khem as a good companion whereas the knight has 2 or 3 good ones (depending where you stand on T7)
  21. This is a bit over dramatic, yes deception got need, yes our survivability is atrocious, but our burst is still there and we can do some serious damage. We were never a facetank class, it's all about finesse, everytime I get complacent and facetank I end up dying and no stun DR is gonna save me. You can still sap cap just like before, you can guard nodes just like before, deception is still good in 1v1 especially since we have stealth opener where we can hard stun our opponent for 7 seconds. I really don't have a problem with the burst right now. With everything lined up you can do at least 70-80k on your burst (3 discharges, procced maul, procced ball lightning). On SF deception sins are usually top of the score board or in the top quarter now that might be due to player skill and domination but it still is a strong class.
