  1. Pardon me if this has been brought up already. I'm not tech savvy by any stretch. I am curious that with the server merges coming, will the ports used for Port forwarding on my modem change at all? I am one of the fortunate people who live on the East Coast, so the server location shouldn't be that much of an impact. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  2. I believe I read somewhere that BLOOM and SHADOWS are the two things that effect performance the most. If you turn off Bloom and turn off all Shadows, you could run everything on higher settings without a performance drop off. EDIT: As for windowed mode, I have no damned clue. In World of Warcraft playing in Windowed Mode is supposed to reduce performance according to the info boxes that pop up in the settings menu. How running Windowed improves performance for this game, but not WoW confuses the crap outta me. They really should have a recommended settings button in the graphics settings menu like WoW. At least you would have a starting point to work from.
  3. I would say to play the game any way you want. If you want a Cathar BH, then go for it. There are "good" and "bad" people in all the different species in the Star Wars Universe. Why limit yourself? Play the way you want and enjoy the game. There really is no wrong species to roll a BH with. And with the lightside/darkside integration in the game you can be a BH that's honorable and follows the path of lightside or a hunting killing machine that follows the darkside. Have fun. The Chiss are really one of the few alien species that the empire really accepts. If you follow the lore, you will see that for the most part Chiss tend to side more with the Empire. Grand Admiral Thrawn is a perfect example, who by the way is now part of the official lore.
  4. Have you tried queing for the flashpoint through the group finder? That's the way that I usually get the FP. I actually haven't tried going through the entrance next to where you pick up the mission.
  5. I'm pretty sure all accounts are completely seperate from one another. This would mean you can't transfer toons from one account to another account. I think this is done so you won't be able to have someone level a toon for you and pay them for it. If anyone else has more info on this I'm sure they will fill you in with more detail. Sorry.

  7. Don't play 3 days straight. Take a break, walk outside, do something else and come back in a day or so. It is easy to get burnt out on these type games. I'm guessing in those three days you logged a crap ton of hours in the game. Just take a break. :)
  8. Kinda answered your own question. It sucks, but what are we gonna do at this point? Short of unsubscribing. I'm pretty sure they are banking on that we won't. So bend over and enjoy.
  9. Thanks for suggestions guys. I switched over to a hotmail account. Hopefully the mail comes through. I listed all the addresses needed on my contacts list, and checked spam filters, etc. If I don't get mail now, then it has to be on EA/BW's end, right? Also, have one more question. Do free to play accounts get any promo emails if they are opted in? I ask because my brother wants to start to play, but wants to start out as FTP. We are both curious if he will get any emails if he is opted in? Or do you actually have to be a paying sub to get emails? I've always been a sub so have no idea to the answer. Thanks again everyone.
  10. Thanks for the great info. I went through and double-checked, since I did this back in February after the first mailing of the CC code email. My spam filter is still disabled, as it was back in February. I've pretty much given up on the whole ordeal and will now switch email addresses. It's the last thing I wanted to do, but it's the only thing I haven't done yet. Really, thanks alot guys. The help and info. has been great.

  13. Exactly. I have yet to get any email that has a code, or even any promo emails period. Not to repeat myself again, but I was opted in and I had them on my safe senders list and nothing. I'm far from as tech savy as some like dr_mike, but like he said I never got the email. It does not matter how many times it was sent, it never arrived.
  14. I'm sure they just want to hope that they are still looking into the issue. But, yeah check the dev tracker. Pretty much gave us all the big middle finger.

  16. Yeah, the longer this thing drags on the less it's about the cc. It's the fact that they have paying subscribers that have yet to get the email that never should've had a code hidden in it to begin with. The majority of the people who have posted on this thread have checked every folder in their email, used the search feature in the email, and double checked the contacts list to make sure swtor emails can get through to them. This has probably been repeated daily since the middle of Feb. Yes, BW did resend the emails so good job with that. But there are still many, many paying customers (some all the way back to launch) who are still without said email. The solution they give? Oooooh well, the date has passed and we are done sending out those emails. ***? Really? FIND OUT WHO WAS ELIGIBLE ON THE DATE REQUIRED AND ADD THEM DIRECTLY TO THEIR ACCOUNT LIKE THE MONTHLY CC GRANTS. The whole code by email was a bad idea from the start. I never got the email, so maybe BW should look into why some of their emails have not been reaching their customers. Just makes sense to me.
  17. Then I apologize to the devs. I was using it as a broad term, but should've been more acurate in my wording. As far as the "management", well I will just keep it clean and say I am very unhappy with the way this situation has played out so far.
  18. Well in order to BUMP this thread again, I will have to repeat the same thing over and over again. We wouldn't have to BUMP this thread if the devs would actually come through with what they promised. BUMPing this thread is only being done by customers who want to be heard, and not feel they are being ignored. I guess we will have to keep on BUMPing this thread since they continue to ignore paying customers. I guess we are all just speedBUMPs on their way to happiness and big profits. It kinda makes me wanna BUMP my head into the wall.
  19. I use comcast as my email provider, I guess I should've mentioned that sorry. I'm not looking for the date on the cartel coin email. That train has left the station and ran off the rails. I'm looking for future promos that are mailed out. Whenever you get one just mention that you got it and the date you got it. I'm just trying to figure out why I'm not getting those promo emails, even though I've been opted in since I subbed. Short of changing my email address, I know of no other way to fix this. I guess swtor doesn't like mailing to comcast subscribers. I get promos from other websites, but just not swtor. Totally confused by this. I mean, it is OUR fault and could NEVER EVER be on swtor's end.
  20. Since I happen to be one of those unlucky enough to be passed over for the infamous coin code email, I just wanted to ask a favor of the community. I have yet to receive any promo emails for upcoming chapters even though I've been opted in on all 3 email boxes since my account was activated on 12-16-15. I do receive the monthly cartel coin grant emails, cartel coin purchase emails, and forum thread emails, but no promo emails. All the email addresses that I need white listed are on my OK to receive list. My email also has no promo folder, so less places for those promos to end up hidden. My favor is this if I could trouble you guys. Could you notify me on this thread when you do in fact receive a promo email from swtor and the date you got it? I'm trying to figure out what the issue is to why I'm not getting these promo emails. Customer Service is a waste of time and the mods either ignore you or blame the customer for the problem as seen in the thread about the cartel coins. I will appreciate any help the community could give with this issue. Thanks.
  21. Sorry to hear that man. This game has more bugs than a cheap motel. You could file a ticket, but chances are you will just be more frustrated after doing so. Customer Service has giving the "run around" down to perfection. Guess you could hope they get around to patching it, but don't hold your breath.

  23. Gonna keep bumping. I don't accept the pathetic statement the devs gave us on this issue. You can just sweep this issue away and ignore paying customers, but I'll keep bumping this thread.
