    sry to dissapoint you kind sir but all mmos i have played request a payment method after or when the initial 30 days are close to run out, this one wants it already at the first day...see where the difference is? so if i dont add another 26 bucks as i dont have a cc im robbed off my gametime of initial 30 days as my acc gets closed then ..kk

     

    I beg to differ, when I installed Star Trek and Conan both asked me for a CC for my subscription after entering my 30 day free card that came with each game.

     

    So I have no idea wth you are talking about because that is how it works

     

    Also nobody is going to get charged anything, this is kind of like gas it checks the card to make sure its valid and that is all it does.

     

    Seriously guys its not like this is a new form of business, its a fail safe in case you don't get a time card in 30 days.

     

    Nobody is going to be paying any money during the 1st 30 days they had free, if you add a time card before the next month its not like you are going to get charged on your CC as wel

    It was the writing, I mean look Natalie Portman won an Academy Award but the cast was given lines like "she died of a broken heart"

     

    They also made Anakin extremely annoying and petty, I mean whining does not even begin to explain his dialogue. The actor is fine, the material was horrendous.

     

    Clone Wars the animated mini-series and the CGI CW Series both portray Anakin much better than the prequels did.

    I purchased the game with the description saying that the first 30 days is paid with the initial purchase a few months ago. Are you saying that you are taking back that promise with this post?

     

    That would NOT be cool and would result in a return of my CE if that were the case.

     

    No they are are saying you need to put down a CC to continue,you get the free time but you still need to put down a CC to start your subscription that begins after the 30 days

     

    Its standard for virtually every subscription model on earth (see Netflix, Hulu, WoW, etc)

    Will SWTOR run on a Macbook Pro?

    Use the actual video card drivers from the manuf and not Apple, also turn shadows off

     

    Also lower the resolution, there are many ways to get the old macs to run this game and you either have a driver issue, lack upgraded system ram (so Windows is hogging it all) or just did not tweak it

     

    The amount of Mac users who keep trying to run it with Shadows on are just hurting themselves, they add next to nothing and destroy the framerate

     

    It should run on virtually any Mac with bootcamp and W7 x64bit from the last 2 1/2 years

     

    My brother is running it on Medium with his Mac Mini 2010 with only stock 2gb system RAM, and I am running it on High with my Mac Mini 2011

     

    I also got the game to run on low with my ****** Macbook (reg not pro) from 2008, fps was not the best but seriously going back almost 4 years was something I figured was not compatible

    Of course me and my brother are on Harbinger (it was empty when we started playing lol)

     

    Might opt for a transfer if/when that becomes a possibility. Don't belong to a guild and don't mind moving

     

    +1 for Bioware responding to the issue on the launch day, they could have continued to remain silent

    What the Hell is with this server?

    I had the misfortune of joining one of the most populated servers of the game, Death Reaper, I think it's called. EVERY SINGLE TIME I log in I have to wait at least 6-10 minutes.

     

    I just logged in today and I was placed in a queue of 334. Are they going to fix this? I have already made 3 toons here, all around level 13 and I don't want to start over.

     

    **** over the last few days I would do cartwheels for 6-10min lol

    This SUCKS! The game is unplayable.

    I don't get that. What I get is the sudden eternally-running issue. No matter what I do I can't stop. Eventually have to log out.

     

    That happened to my brother for a entire day (Day 2 of EGA), he would log out to fix it. Next day and since the eternal running and getting stuck has not happened again.

    Queues are something you just have to deal with when it comes to popular MMO launches. All the major launches have had them but I can't think of a single mmo that I've played at launch (or ever for that matter) that had over hour long queues at 11am EST.

     

    It's getting a little out of hand BW.

     

    Age of Conan, Star Trek, and DC Online come to mind so not sure what games you have played where queues was not an issue

    So, is there a tiny plastic film over the base of the Malgus statue that can be removed? Because I see many air bubbles between some plastic and the solid base, and I don't want to keep attempting to remove something that should stay put. Thanks!

    Yes the plastic comes off the case, its there to protect the base from scratches in shipment

     

    I had to use an exacto knife in the corner to lift it up enough for me to be able to pull it off

    What in the world is going on? 30min queue at 8:30am CST? Most people are sleeping or commuting or working right now. How in the world is the server at cap already? What does this mean for prime time? Bioware, what is wrong and when will you fix it instead of just "closely observing"?!?

     

    Work lol, you obviously do not realize the number of people that take off work just to play Call of Duty or Madden upon release are the same or higher that are going to the play the 1st Star Wars MMO

     

    Not saying queues with the extreme length are OK (40min-1hr is pretty darn good compared to other launches I have been a part of) but seriously the amount of people who seem honestly surprised at this is mind blowing

    With the deceptive marketing practices of the digital items in the deluxe and collector's editions and now the deceptive marketing practices of the 30-day free trial, it's quickly becoming apparent how Electronic Arts likes to do business.

     

    How is this deceptive, SWTOR has a standard subscription model with the 1st month free just like Netflix, Hulu, every other pay per month MMO

     

    I get people are unhappy but holy crap this should not be a surprise, its the way business has been done FOR YEARS

    Yes it is, its just harder if you are not powerful enough. On the esseles one I tried to do it by myself and was progressing pretty far but the middle boss was just too much to handle (at the time) with all the surrounding enemies also attacking.

     

    I assume if you are high enough in level or have powerful enough of a weapon and healing items you can get through at least the initial ones
