maybe learn hatred as well? its actually really fun, and a better preforming spec. im not saying you cant play deception, im saying maybe you should play both

Explosive dart is 30m range still btw. i saw people saying this, but knew i didnt see it in the patch notes and its not in the game. AP for example (which was the only spec that would really ever be able to dps from range i PVE) only really lost rail shot. still have thermal detonator, explosive dart, rapid shots, at 30 yards. Sure it sucks and i wish it didnt happen, but in reality its not a huge deal. As said above to do ur full dmg u need to be upclose anyway. And for pyro.....it always had to be upclose, way too many of its abilities require it.

they are really strong in PVP, you prob just need more practice honestly

idk, i think the appeal of the movies and the jedi would pull more young people to the republic. i guess it just depends how young we are talking here. i have a 9 yr old nephew who will only play lightside for example.

If you arent doing OPs, there is no reason to have 224s. nothing else in the game requires anything near that level of gear. there is also the HUGE shortcut of being able to transfer left over/extra pieces between characters with legacy gear. Also, being able to craft the best gear in the game would devalue the time and effort people have to put in to get it, you dont deserve the best gear for no work, especially when you have no need for it

its very rare, so it might take a while to find. it was a rep only item for a while (from the cartel bazaar). when the GSB packs came out it became available through those, and now the chance cubes. SInce the GSB packs have been gone i havent seen it lower that 40 mil (i bought mine during the last time the GSB packs came back for a week for 18mil). Good luck on your search!

Juggs? Not OP. PTs? Not OP. Sorcs? Dps not OP but healers are. The dps class balance isnt really bad at all. In ranked 4s you can play pretty much any DPS and do well if you know what you are doing. Balancing around solo ranked or regs is just dumb anyway, its going to be an unbalanced format no matter what. The main balance issue right now is healers. Sorcs are the only viable choice right now. But the question is, are they too strong or other healers just too weak? It would prob be better to just buff the other 2 healing specs, and only nerf sorc heals (if at all) just a little. Maybe make Phase walk only have a 20-30 yard range and not useable while stunned, or something like that. really though, dps is not that unbalanced. PTs burst is less scary since it was nerfed months back, and even though they are in heavy armor they are pretty squishy. Juggs may have alot of defensive's, but that doesnt make them OP. Things can be good without being overpowered. People always say that mercs and snipers suck for pvp, not true at all. Play them on a good 4s team with a tank and healer, guard swap, etc, and they can do very well, putting out sh*t ton of dmg

sounds like your fault, not Biowares. They gave plenty of warning and had super cheaper xfers for a along time, dont play victim when you did it to yourself

if you min/max the 204 gear (augs, correct stats, etc) its not THAT big of a deal. Sure, its not ideal, and you should upgrade ASAP, but i agree with the sentiment that skill is far more important. i do think however that if you are going to wear 204 into ranked, u should have augs and correct stats. just use legacy bound gear so ur aug slots arent going to waste, and u can get the 208 enhancements that you would need at full 208 anyway.

says there is no power spike between fresh 65 gear and best gear in the game... clearly doesnt know what they are talking about LOL. and about the numbers like 2% increase in dmg, you have to realize this game works on a smaller number scale, and 2% actually equates to alot, same with the only 4 ilvl difference in gear tiers, its a different scale and those seemingly small jumps make a big difference. learn the game before you jump to conclusions please

its personal preference, but yes, anywhere between 4-8% alacrity can be really helpful
