I used to be able to reposition it mid cast simply by casting it again. Now it doesn't work unless I cancel the cast first which can be irritating to do (either hit esc which is kind of inconvenient, or moving which risks getting jumped on in pvp)

Yes, considering that snipers had the second lowest average rating beating only marauders in the previous season in group ranked, I would call snipers weak according to previous seasons PVP results for team play. Not sure what "obscenely strong ranged class" you are referring to though. Oh. if 7/8 wasn't bad enough in "team play", they are dead last for solo ranked out of al 8 classes. So obscenely strong for a class that hasn't gained relative power in 4.0 to other classes.

Snipers are already one of the weakest dps classes in PvP (see: average end season rating achieved). An additional -20% crit damage off over 90% of our damage is a pretty sigificant nerf- I understand it was for PvE purposes, so I'm wondering if we could get a PvP buff ithat doesn't affect PvE n exchange. There are many possibilities to compensate for the crit damage nerf, but I suggest this: Covered Escape off global cooldown. I'm pretty sure this will not make up for the nerf and certainly wouldn't make snipers "OP", but it would be nice to at least know Bioware cares.

hi i currently play on shadowlands but we can't play arenas that often i heard this server has lots of pvp, how often do ranked solo arenas go and how often do grouped ranked arenas go on this server?

Try entering cover and sniping without the cover bar. compare side by side (just use multiple hotkeys at the same time for testing) and let me know if it is faster for you As I mentioned in the OP, the delay has nothing to do with the GCD, it is roughly only a tenth of a second

If you do not use the cover bar, it does not slow your next ability down at all. It takes a split second only if you use the cover bar! Hey only started playing a few weeks ago, so sorry if this is a stupid/newbie question. OK so basically let's say I cover on Q, then I have Snipe on 2, and then I also have Snipe on 2 in the cover bar. If I have cover bar enabled, I cannot quickly press Q->2, there is a noticeable delay- maybe ~0.1 seconds- before I am allowed to cast Snipe (since the server doesn't give you your cover bar quick enough). However, if I simply turn off the cover bar, I can press Q->2 and the Snipe will immediately start casting. This is a shame because I like the cover bar and it would make things so much easier if it wasn't for the lag (I would just make 2 go into cover, then 2 for Snipe so I could double tap 2 instead of pressing Q->2). Is there any workaround to this or am I just forced to not use the cover bar if I want to be able to play my class optimally? Thanks for reading!
