  1. I have a feeling that eventually Bioware will cave in and allow us to pull ALL the mods out of the epic gear so we can use whatever orange gear we want. I mean, that was the intent all along - find orange gear that you like the look of, and keep it all the way to endgame while upgrading its mods.

We're all starting to look like carbon copies of each other already, and it's only going to get worse. AND if they let us go back to using orange gear it will help boost the crafting professions.

They have already said that they plan on doing so. The armoring from endgame stuff will be a bit restrictive so you can't say farm the gloves of a set over and over and pull the armoring to place in every slot.

  2. You need 10 points for level 1. For each conversation option roll that you do in a conversation you get 4 points if you win and 2 if you lose the roll so at most that is 5 conversation choices.

Not exactly what you could call grinding.

Those points change depending on how many people are in the conversation.

If you lose you get 1 point per person in the conversation, and you get 2 points per person if you win.

  3. Except that would require cause and effect for almost every decision in teh game, a potential branching off for countless encounters. I would like it, it would be amazing, but if they branched off based off of decisions, what happens if I and my friend are Troopers, and I spare a guy that my buddy kills, and he ends up on a completely different questline than me, and I want to help? I can't help him because he's on a total tangent from my storyline, and there is nothing I could do about it?

It'd be great for a Single Player RPG, but not for an MMO.

You could still help out by going into his phase. It is just like how you go into the storyline for a different class even though it has nothing to do with your story.

  4. In case you haven't seen it in person, I looked at it and the buttons on the side are REALLY small and close together. For me I decided too much and went with something simpler but if you are ok with smaller than cell phone buttons it seems like a really nice mouse.

I was a bit worried about that, but my worries went out the door once I got one and started using it. Unless you have a really big thumb, you shouldn't have any issues with the buttons.

  5. I had this conversation two days ago but I didn't had the option "What about our relationship?"

It must be because I sold her and joined Darth Jadus earlier. It seems I ended my relationship with her when I betrayed her. But no worries, I got what I wanted from her. :D

Now I will "Flirt" my way to Ensign Temple and then I will marry her. And we will have many kids.

I didn't get it either and I went the lightside route with Jadus.

  6. Two pieces of armor with the same armor value, will provide the same protection, no matter the quality, level, etc of the item. Now, when you look at an armor you will see two numbers. The armor value and then in parenthesis the armor rating. The value is the one you want to look at. The rating just determines what the value is based on the type of armor. So light armor and medium armor with the same rating will have a different value (with the medium being higher).

As for orange armor, it's armor rating (and therefore armor value) is determined by the armoring modification. Whatever rating the armoring mod gives is the rating the armor will have.

  7. Hey, I'm at that part on Voss where you marry someone, but I don't know if it'll screw up my companion relationships, does anyone know?

It didn't for me. At least not for Temple. I was in the middle of the Temple romance when I got to that part. I even got affection points during the course of it.

  8. I know I played through the conversation in Act 2 in several different times. It was when I started to worry that something was screwed up with the romance because she never brought it up herself and I didn't see an option to bring it. I could have missed something though.
  9.

another friend that plays a sniper said that Arden kills himself with the guns otherwise?

Depending on how things goes, there are 3 endings. You kill, you get into a short cutscene fight where he ends up in the room with the guns and dies, or he lives. He shows up later for the last one.

  10. I haven't played the IA yet. From having looked at various dialogues, it seems that it is supposed to be mentioend again. At some point(I think Act 2) she is supposed to tell you that it is over for some reason that I don't remember. Then in Act 3 the two of you can have a conversation where she says she is willing to give it a try in time(very rough paraphrasing from memory). Then in one of the endings(I think it is only one of them) she will tell you her real name during the fianl scenes.

If you didn't get that then it likely means that either you messed up somewhere during the course of events, it is bugged, or heck the later stages could have even been removed(which would be lame). I have to ask whether you romanced either Kaliyo or Temple with this playthough as I know Kaliyo can break the Watcher Two arc, and I would not be shocked to learn Temple can do so as well.

I didn't romance Kaliyo. Eventually I gave up since no one else seem to know anything about whether the romance continued post act 1 and romanced Temple (once I was on Voss). I'm guessing it is either bugged or removed.

I don't think her telling you her real name is directly related to the romance, since I was able to get that line during the end of act 3.

  11. Techblades are what IA Operatives use instead of Scatterguns, so they will be a bit harder to find. Your best bet is to ask around for an Armstechwho can make you one.

FYI Qyzen isn't the only character that this is an "issue" for: Akaavi Spaar for smugglers is melee DPS and uses the same weapons.

No, IA use vibroknives not techblades.

Speaking of IAs, their final companion is in the same boot (though also can use techstaffs).

  12. As far as I know there is only one companion that even will have the Flirt option for each class. (based on which gender you are)

At least one class has more romance for their male versions. Male IAs have 2 companions they can romance.

  13. If you are talking about the ship droid, then no, you can't raise it's affection. If you mean a real companion, then yes, you can raise affection normally just like any humanoid companion.
  14. yes you can romance watcher 2, my agent got some from her... one scene they kiss my dude grabs her ***** then they go off.... you might have missed something..

I know you can. I'm just wondering if it bugged after act 1, I screwed something up, or if it just gets dropped after that with no mention of it ever and no more flirt options. I'm in Act 3, and since then I have had nothing with Watcher 2 even though at least once TORhead shows that there should be a flirt option where I didn't have one.

  15. This is completely ridiculous, thanks to leveling diplomacy I'm now completely cut off from the alignment items?! Are you joking?

Bioware, remove this ridiculous cap immediately.

I suggest reading the other responses in this thread.
