  1. Same for us. Had the exact same problem. Even tried resetting the phase. Still had the same problem. We were on story mode and used group finder.
  2. I guess I'm inviting a snarky response about how I'm dumb or don't get his/her level of genius, but how are data mining and spoilers negatively affecting Bioware and EA? Aside from a quarterly report about the rise of player numbers, is there any information or any cited sources about how data mining and spoilers hurt any games? I get that data mining falls into a gray area of legality, depending on whether the information came from a public source or if it was intentionally hacked. But that is likely information we'll never know unless the data miners expressly say. I work as a researcher so I'm very familiar with data mining. Professionally speaking, if the information is already public then what harm is there in data mining? For people who don't care about spoilers and/or like to be prepared for what they're walking into, then what harm is there? What is the difference between a post on data mined material and a walk-through posted online? The release date? Are they not then, pedantically aside, the same thing? If the information is hacked or otherwise obtained in an illegal manner, then I would agree that's a problem. But is there information available to show that this hacked data hurts Bioware or EA financially? It sounds like it may be less of a moderator problem and more a security issue if all of this date mined material is readily and frequently hacked. Lastly, in an entertainment world, no press is bad press. People speaking negatively about Bioware and SWTOR just means that people are playing the game. That should be a positive thing. I would be concerned if nobody was talking about SWTOR, because then the game would be dead. If people choose to say bad things, even untrue things, then let them. They are either trolls looking to get a rise out of people or, better yet, they are passionate gamers who enjoy voicing their opinions. Hooray for opinions, even when we disagree with them, because it means we still have the ability to think. JMCA, maybe you are trolling us and have taken us for one heck of a trollercoaster ride. If true, then congrats. If not, and you truly believe that what you are saying is correct, then I invite you to read the USA's Fair Use Law and how it applies to all copyrighted material. The EFF protects "Let's Play" videos as Fair Use and can even be argued to protect data mined material. As far as Story and Ops/Raids go, I personally was attracted to SWTOR because of the story and the Ops have kept me here. I have made friends in my guild who I raid with; I say this as someone who joined SWTOR and loathed the idea of an MMO. I think it is a false dichotomy to pit the story against the ops. SWTOR will never be perfect and Bioware will always have to compromise to appeal to story only players and to raiders. But we shouldn't cause friction between those two types of players because there isn't a reason to. Voice your opinion; share your thoughts about the game and what you think can make it better; invite others into that conversation and hear their thoughts.
  3. Goodness, just not fast enough on the draw. Reloaded the page at 6:19 PM, tried to use a code and it was already used up. Oh well, better luck next time. In honor of Eric, who's been keeping us entertained.
