Sorry to super necro this old thread but its not called mounts online, there is no real mounted combat, you do not feed them or more, yea its a strong point but it does not make the rest of the game worth it at all, especially to me, gw2 has to be one of the most shallow and boring leveling experiences ever, the masteries are not incentive enough, they should be something along side of leveling more stuff to do with combat.

Well your experience differs from others, I played there to and there are loads of rude people, maybe it just depends on the times you play.

Which can easily be said about others as well, it really depends the kind of mmo and environment your in, sometimes there is something more wrong with the majority then the few.

Sadly the easier it is to solo in an mmorpg and being f2p you will always find horrid communities, more casual mmorpgs tend to attrack allot of immaturity although its still no reason for it regardless of it being more casual friendly. Please stop telling the tc to grow thicker, skin people should not have to put up with that kind of community everytime they want to play a social game, maybe people need to grow up.

To many people attacking my point so im going to keep it simple and in one reply, the older kotor games where origianal not this one and that is a major difference, and the questing in tsw is far from go get this and that and you know it, for some reason your trying to discredit the game, also they redid the newbie areas so your not so punished for builds. And not everything is subjective as youd like it to be, I can say for example voice acting is bad in one game when clearly the paid actors are not trying when another game the paid actors do a much better job and sound believable, of course your entitled to an opinion but objectively the voice acting is better. Metactric is a horrible site that is way to mainstream, and mmorpg.com is far from a minority its a paid website just as mainsteram and the statics show, besides metactric reviews these games on release, mmorpg.com rates based off recent changes to the games. Same goes for gamerankings. The problem here is your defending your favorite mmorpg and getting a little offended, its ok it happens in every mmorpg where they are immune to critical thinking. You can say the story being better is subjective all you want but it does not make it true as for a higher quality storyline it is better in tsw because how more flashed out the characters are, and there is just allot more going on, you have way more varied lore to go with that story. If I where to say quest storyline in wow where better then swtor id know id be lying because objectively swtor blows those quests out of the water. And it is totally original because it is not just based on secret societies really thats just an excuse for story difference, its all the supernatural lore is what makes the story amazing which has nothing to do with the davinci code and if you played a bit more you would know this.

It is original t hat was my point and the original argument was someone said swtor had the best story in an mmorpg, it was not about if they where subjective or not. My point was star wars is popular already therefor people are more biased, objectively tso is subjectively more original and unique. And it is funcom when have they not made unique mmorpgs? Anarchy online was a sci fi kind of fantasy and that was totally original they have always cared about there games and are far more creative in the mmorpg department then anyone else. well good for you but it does not change my points, your entitled to your opinion however. Regardless they do offer more choices as you level, and your basing your experience off tera? That game is far from perfect and tsw is not only about the combat unlike tera its far more interesting and has allot more to do with questing.

I do not think its all that subjective the secret world is totally original, swtor has loads of lore that is already popular, the secret world has more mystery which in a way makes it more interesting, also the secret world has more grey area storyline in the game then swtor. My point was you cannot really say swtor has the best story in the market in the first place, you cannot really say that about tsw either but it is clear that star wars story lines are supported by fans and big companies to get those voice actors and regardless of how little surprise there is to the story fans will be happy because its star wars.

I disagree so do many others ive talked to who play tsw, the story is far more interesting in that game, unlike star wars it does not get popularity just for being star wars. Not to mention a bit more mature.

Actually the secret world has more quality in the story department just saying, the choices do not affect your leveling however, yes it has story choices but so does beyond two souls or heavy rain and they are not labeled as rpgs at all.

Actually game companies do, so do game magazines and there readers, so do all the game forums across the internet, there is plenty of proof the masses go by the labeling of the genres. You do not go into gamestop asking for an rpg that is an adventure game.
