  1. Weapon: Near the platforms in the back with the three destroyable crates on them. Datapad: Tent on the south side of the central island. Armor: Tent near the Proving Grounds.
  2. Fly directly to Odessen, the level booster there is universal.
  3. Olag may not have been on PTS but I have, and by God, the exaggeration in these threads is insane to me. Is it where it should be in terms of balancing RNG and direct upgrades? Not yet, but it's getting there. Takana is at least giving me pieces I can use on my Arsenal Merc, at an Item Rating around what I currently have on from world loot and Onderon dailies. For prices in the hundreds of frags, this is reasonable, but needs a little more improvement as I can absolutely see it falling over once I hit IR300, as others have been experiencing. Spitballing: Takana's prices are good for what the vendor is meant to do. Kai sells random specific items each weekend, but should probably have at least a few guaranteed items available (at least two of a gold moddable set bonus shell per class, and at least two or three tacs, imo). Takana's random piece tokens should always generate a set bonus piece for your spec at your next item level tier once you hit around 294. That last point especially should significantly thin out the table the tokens you buy can pull from at higher item ratings, which would go a long way to correcting the RNG issue for harder content.
  4. For most? 300/302. For the record, retail WoW did this too and it chased some away. Not me, but some. The goal there is 460-475 atm (since hitting the current max of 600 is an almost impossible grind). The only real annoying part of this for me is how unbalanced some of these pieces are. Not overpowered, not even close, just... weirdly unbalanced. A 272 shouldn't have less in any stat than the base 268s the level booster on Odessen gives you, but some do and it's really weird.
  5. Careful here. Nobody's losing real money, so while it's awful RNG that uses similar mechanics, it's not strictly gambling. That said, I do agree that being able to directly tailor your amps to your build would be great.
  6. Speaking from experience gearing Benthics in WoW (which is a really nice catchup system and worth snaking from them for people who don't grind ops!), caps on gear currency for them is 5k I think? Each piece costs 5 pearls to buy and around 370 (for Azerite pieces) to 450 to get up to 420 (for Azerite) / 430, which is just below latest raid on Heroic (440). Given each direct shell at the vendor costs 2.5k-3k tech frags, I think increasing the cap to 12k-18k would be more than fair.
  7. This one's pretty good. Makes RNG less of (but still) a factor in gearing. Honestly though, RNG is a gear factor in a lot of MMOs, only FF14 from what I've seen tries to forgo it entirely with vendors.
  8. I used to get this A LOT back in October and November and I could never get why, as my IP always geolocated to Canada (where I actually live), and I don't live in Quebec either.
