  1. Hey everyone, I just transferred over from Harbinger. I am an East Coast player and chose a West Coast server because I like to play late at night. Unfortunately, my guild wouldn't get going until real late due to the time difference and in the end, it just didn't work for me. I am usually on 7PM EST until 11:30 or so. I came from a real good end game guild. Good people and a lot of fun. We would run SM and HM Ops frequently, FP's etc... Sort of looking for the same. Pugging is just not what it used to be and I have more fun doing guild runs. Although a semi guild run with Pugs can be fun too. I have 1 level 65 Combat Sentinel with a mix of 216/220 all augmented. I would like to complete the 220 set and start moving to NiM runs. I have a level 53 Carnage Marauder on Imp side that is about 2 weeks away from 65 and am collecting Commons for 208 gear. But the Imp side isn't really my cup of tea. I am leveling him to have options but prefer Pub side. So looking for a mature, experienced guild that focuses on PVE end game. Not into PVP at all. My days of PVP ended with Modern Warfare. Let me know if you could use a mediocre DPS.
  2. Ok first off, I am not new to SWTOR or MMO's but i am not a hardcore vet either. Other priorities have forced gaming to the back seat but i still try to play a few hours at night. Therefore i haven't had the time to sink hours/days/weeks into studying every guide on the net. I have been to Dulfy and as a result adjusted my rotation. I have put more focus on the new stats in 4.0 etc.. But I feel like i am still lagging behind and i am not sure where. i have to constantly endure "the DPS are not powerful enough" after every single enrage in OPs or HM FP's. Which doesnt bother me at all. If i am, i would like to know where. Unfortunately most of the people I run with would rather call you names and blame you for their 40k repair bills than help. So here I am. I am a Jedi Sent, Combat spec. I am in mostly 216 fleet gear with a couple of 216 OPs pieces. It is ALL Augmented with mostly 208. I have tried to mix up Acc and Crit in my augs to boost them evenly. I still have 2 186 augs because the 208's are pricey but working on it. Some of my stats: Mastery is at 4983 Endurance is 5816 Health is 74k Accuracy is at 113.533% Crit is very low at 34.56% which i am working on. Critical is 903 Alacrity is 377 Accuracy 1093 Damage (Pri) says 2263-2640 Damage (secondary or offhand) seems low at 400-650 with a 208 saber Ok so have at it. What did i screw up in this build? P.S. Thanks in advance and sorry for being a gigantic "n00b".
  3. Sorry. Will repost and delete this. Sorry again.
  4. I just wanted to post that I think what Bioware is doing is fine. I mean for the first 60 levels, everything seemed to cater toward the hardcore MMO player. Difficult raids, gear grinds the whole nine. Which i enjoy, don't get me wrong. But now they threw the casual player a bone and we blow a gasket over it like it is the end of MMO's forever. You think it is unfair to you but if everything was your way, isn't that unfair to the casual player? I am just saying. MMO's have struggled with this for years. How to balance between hardcore and casual. It isn't easy and someone always feels slighted in the end. I don't think this is the end for hardcore players but I don't think Bioware is wrong for trying to give something to everyone.
  5. Boy, that droid needs and attitude adjustment.
  6. I agree but I don't think they are too difficult to complete at all. With a little planning and people not just "running and gunning" all the time, they can be easily done. Someone mans the healing pots, DPS the boss in between etc... One of the biggest issues I see isn't the difficulty. It is allowing the newbies to join them without any knowledge of the fight they are participating in. I am not one to shun newbies. In fact, I am all for helping them learn and get to know the TAC's. Problem is they are all "elitist snobs" and think they know everything until we wipe 3 times and that is when I will quit. I am a level 65 Sentinel in these FP's with 16 to 18's (i get they level sync but all the level sync in the world cannot replace knowledge when it comes to these boss fights). Some are rolling alts and understand the mechanics, which are great. But others are the draws from the expansion Bioware wanted. Now we are forced to endure 40k credit repair bills because they won't listen to a word anyone says that knows the fights.
  7. Ok... So is it just me or is the credit situation out of control? pre-4.0 you could run a SFP and receive between 6-10k in credits. I would run them a couple of times a day. I ran Korriban last night because I am running low on cash for the first time since 4.0 and I pulled out maybe 2k, roughly. What is the point of these solo's anymore? it isn't the gear since all my gear is well over the 190 they drop. Now it isn't even the credits. My frustration stems from the repair costs of even just a mixed set of 208/216 is like 20-30k. Forget it if you want to augment all the pieces. You need to buy the kits, pay for the slot and then the augment itself. That is a couple of hundred thousand right there. Every drop from the revamped FP's are bound so you cannot even auction them, not that many would buy them anyway. And to add insult to injury, they won't even sell me any for real world money? Seriously? I will pay you real world money, just sell me some freaking fake money. Or at least put the FP's back to where they were with credit drops. So unless I am missing something, this is really how you make money? Selling crap good on the auction hall where if it isn't purchased in 24 hours, it ends up in your mail? Grind the crap out of FP's for a pittance. Or use Cartel coins to buy something from the market that has a bound timer and then rip someone in game off of their credits to suit your own needs? What kind of system is that? And yes, I know Mats sell like crazy but even that is a grind. Sending out all my companions to farm mats then sell them overpriced? Or try to find nodes scattered around planets. One of the worst systems from previous MMO's I have played is the mining. LOTRO was horrible with this. "Everyone stop, I found a node.' Who cares? Get back on your horse and lets go. Nope we had to stop form mining ever 2 feet. Let's advance beyond outdated systems. Sorry, just frustrated with the monetary system in this game and the never ending grind to afford the simplest of items.
  8. Oh definitely not!! I learned that lesson the hard way over a year ago. Someone in a group went ballistic on me. Of course i was just learning then so i had no business running a group anyway. No it is all Master/Endurance and either Accuracy or Critical. Nothing with Shield or Absorption.
  9. I have to be honest. Recently the quality of PuGs increased for me. I am no longer the target for their anger. When i was running with the Ziost 190 set? Whoa!!! They freaking hated my guts. Nowadays it seems to be the 200 geared folks that take the brunt of it. LMAO.. I usually get the "your gear needs work but..... should be good enough. Just stay out of my way." LMAO! Edit: I know i shouldn't give a rats backside what they think, and I don't. But I hate being a drain on the group. Plus, I am interested in learning all the ins and outs of the runs. Therefore i will tolerate it until someone gets belligerent. then i usually quit.
  10. I know, tell me about it. The problem is, the Guild i am in, while very active never seem to run HM FP's or SM Ops. They are focused on Conquest it seems and that doesn't really interest me. So GF PuGs is where I live. LMAO!!!
  11. Now datacrons I haven't done. I will look into that. I will also just keep grinding the credits till I can augment my entire set. Edit: I mean i knew about dc's but just haven't gotten around to collecting them yet.
  12. Sorry for confusion. I have Augmented my sabers and a couple of pieces of gear but not all. It is incredibly expensive to by the MK8 slot and then by the augment from the GTN. I plan to eventually augment all of it but am trying to raise the credits.
