  1. The sad part of this is now they are making companions no better really than the other various games that have 'pet classes' where the pets in that game usually scale to the players level and such. It makes me sad they have pretty much 'given up' on having the companions unique anymore, (I do like that it is possible to use armor for them as cosmetic though). I am wondering if they are revamping crafting to where there are no companion bonus to it to so that it REALLY makes them no better than the other games 'pet classes' I am hoping I am proven wrong come October but I am worried about it.
  2. I agree with if acquired Treek and HK-51 and come October all companions essentially do what Treek does. I am by no means Legacy 40 yet and probably won't be by October and when I recently saw Treek on sale on the store I used CC to purchase her since I wanted to for a long time. My question is 'why put Treek on sale now?' I mean sure there is still time till October but *shrugs* just seems mean to push something that isn't really going to be 'needed' come exp time. I know it is a 'choice' to get them for CC or Credits but just seems strange in a way.
  3. I think the stronghold is worth buying even if I only could afford the 'initial purchase' and none of the extra areas yet. That is alright for now since gives me something to 'work towards' at least what I tell myself hehe. I do wish that they did give a couple hooks in the grass area out front cause I agree that I have a few pets and animal mounts I had thought 'this would be cool to put them in the grass' more 'life-like' and was a bit disappointed that they will have to stand on stone if I place them some place. Small thing for a really well done stronghold.
  4. My only other weird thought was 'do these new companions' get a Legacy story page thingy to themselves or are they not going to be considered 'affection/story raising companions'. My other concern was what about crafting--if we lose the companion like Scorpio who is +10 cybertech are we out of luck as far as 'oh well, guess you lose the bonus for that companion and crafting' if they don't come back. I will stop asking weird questions now hehe
  5. I was wondering that also or even if you didn't complete the companion affections/story quests in the Legacy section. What happens to 'special buffs' we get on completing them. Do the 'new' companions fill in the extra slots on that section or do we lose the buffs if we lose the companion?
  6. I didn't mind the quest line really, I think it was more interesting as it was voiced by Laura Bailey (Lust from Fullmetal Alchemist). Not sure would want her as a companion all the time but the quest was a nice change of pace from killing 10 random things around the area.
  7. I think most of the wz's in swtor are pretty fun for what they are. Though the whole time I am running around doing my thing in Huttball I am thinking: "Please don't pass to me, please don't pass to me"
  8. I am guilty of not grouping in games a lot. I think most MMO's have stepped away from grouping and made content 'easy-mode' to rush everyone to max level. For me it is the journey there and I am in no rush to get to the end so that is why I tend to not group up as much. I also enjoy doing/gathering/searching every little area I go into looking at the locations..stopping to smell the flowers so to speak in really soaking up the whole game and don't want a stranger who doesn't like doing that waiting for me to catch up. Sure I probably miss out on social points and the 'aspect' of grouping with other people who enjoy playing the same game that I do. How many times in games have you done the group finder type setup and join and NO ONE says a single word the whole time and just rushes through but a mere "Thanks for the group" and *poof* they are all gone. I am sorry but if THAT is what 'social aspect' of the game is now a day--nah not for me. I also tend to stay away from groups cause I am notorious for getting lost going from point A to point B. It is an odd 'gift' but tends to frustrate people to no end when they have to wait for me to figure out how to get to where they are when I go the loooong way around. I just wish to not subject people to that since I know it will frustrate people who especially want to 'hurry get this done and move on' mentality. Sooo in that I will usually shy away from doing any sort of group things. It is sad that the current state of games is more leaning towards not having to group up to accomplish a common goal in what they are working on. Perhaps things will change but I sadly think games will continue to become 'easy-mode' solo games to get customers to play them.
