Yes i know all the basics of searching, its not just searching for specifics, its everything. It just wont search at all

I have had this problem on a few of my characters now. For whatever reason i'm not able to search anything on the GTN.I have been told to try running the repair tool when logging in, but doesn't help or i'm not able to use the repair tool. Please help.
