  1. Something a lot of you are missing is that thousands of years of Jedi knowledge has been lost in the past fifty years of story. Luke was never fully trained as a Jedi, and only had rudimentary training in lightsaber technique. He passed on to his students what he knew, nothing more. Factor in that Kylo Ren left training early, and you have a subpar Dark Jedi. As far as Finn, just look to when he faced off with the stormtrooper with the electro-staff weapon. Obviously these new stormtroopers have had a beefed up combat training regimen. It is easily recognized that Finn sees himself as an emerging hero, and possibly a Force sensitive. Regardless, he is brave and a capable warrior, and when facing off with a Dark Jedi who has incomplete training and is NOT using Force powers during the duel, he is able to hold his own. But as mentioned earlier, as soon as he tags Kylo, he is taken out of the fight swiftly.
  2. So... the SWTOR companions game has turned into Game of Thrones? Tune in this week to see which of your beloved characters dies next?
  3. Set an alarm for 7:30, start the patcher, go back to bed.
  4. They could take a hint from the folks at Cryptic. When a major content push is about to happen (Tuesday for them as well) they have the launcher automagically launch when you exit the client, and start the download of the assets coming in the new push. This allows the players to already have the bulk of the data downloaded. As it stands, I will likely not be able to play Tuesday, because I leave before the downtime begins, and return long after it is supposed to end. The whole process of verification, then downloading, then installing is abysmally slow. I expect to rent a couple movies from Redbox that night, because the patch process bogs down my system so bad, I can't even play solitaire.
  5. I play on Shadowlands, so I would be willing to team up with you. I play Central time, so only an hour time difference. I've been doing the solo/PUG and guildless thing for awhile, so having a person to interact with would be cool.
  6. The problem I see with using a voice program for a PUG, is that NOBODY wants to wait the 30 seconds for you to get a channel set up. Everybody is too busy rushing to the next room and spamming a spacebar for that kind of nonsense.
  7. I would love to be able to add a dye to a single item (like chest armor for player characters) and link colors. My trooper may be Havoc Squad, but I have adopted a color other than orange as secondary, and would like Fourex to be able to match his squadmates.
  8. Keep the lockout timer for accounts that do not have an active security key generator linked. If somebody were to remove the linked generator then they would have to deal with the timer again. Another incentive to take a simple step to protect your account.
  9. Something I found in another performance thread and tried out with success, was to turn off Aero in Windows. It's amazing how big a jump in game performance there was, once I did just that.
  10. Per the announcement, anybody subscribed by the deadline, whether you purchase the story pack or not, will receive the crystals in their ingame mailbox on the day that is supposed to happen.
  11. Well I just resubscribed, 60 days as well, but I am getting close to needing access to the higher level content. I like the package, so I will be picking it up.
  12. Most ideas in the world are not unique. Somebody else thought about it long before you did, so forgive me if this has been suggested. I would LOVE to see an avatar that combines the logos of the Imperials and the Republic such as this one. Lots of players play both factions, and I for one would like to not show favor to one over the other.
