I copied two of my level 80 characters to the test server. The first Kessarina went fine. No special characters. The second Kesirí ended up with a ? at the end instead of the letter í. Whilst the bug is not a huge problem, it is still annoying

Have you tried moving the Electronic Arts / SWTOR folder to C:/Progam Files? Installing Direct X solved the issue for me I am lucky to say.

I just tried that fix, it sadly did not work. On reflection it would have been simpler to ask the player to uninstall the old 32 bit version of the game, reinstall using the 64 bit version (download the launcher.exe from the web site). It could then be installed in C:/Program Files. I am hoping that they can patch the launcher process as whilst my client is installed, when I hit play nothing happens. I even tried run program in compatibility mode for Windows 8

What build number was the 64 bit client compiled under? I believe this information can be found by typing VER at a command prompt. If the Build Number is higher than what I have installed thats the answer. As a rule I dont install updates.... to be honest I will go the Steam road if it works. It makes me wonder if the installation and playing of the game was tested under Windows 10 and 11.

I am having the same issue. I had added the exe to Allowlist (Firewall) for both public and private. I was surprised the 64 bit client installed into Program Files (x86) instead of Program Files. I assume that the way forward is run as a 64 bit application..... sigh..... cant you change it to run in 32 bit or 64 bit, as it downloaded another 35GB of files into the same folder. When I run the app it just sits there doing nothing.

Whilst I appreciate the complexity of the various dye combinations, I do feel that cartel market (ie non crafted) dyes should be collectible. That is you can pay a certain number of coins to unlock them like you can crystals. I think it is obscene that a game will happily sell a player a dye mod for 1500 coins and not allow them to unlock it to use on other characters. Recall the tunings that couldn't be collected?

It’s very simple. If after the merge a player has Legend in one vendor they will receive Legend in the new Vendor. You mention titles will not be avails able. Why not simply grant the titles to every player with Legend status? Or change it so that if a vendor has a title it can be bought for credits similar to the security key vendor? There is absolutely no good reason to drop all the titles

Its a pity the story line is already too convoluted enough already to try to include other characters who appear for a bit in the BH story then are not seen again (well I am lvl 40 and I aint been back yet to Hutta). For example Judaa.

Ironically I didn't know about the chair business till it was plastered all over the welcome message on my launcher and linked from the splash screen to the forum. Look it's taking me ages to realize that a subscriber gets 65000 XP saying hello to Viddu and 512 XP killing 30 snipers. I spent three months getting to level 23 for a Smuggler as a Free To Play and about an two hours getting to level 20 as the same type of character as a subscriber.
