  1. I'm dissapointed, I wanted Zakuul palace I'm afraid Rishi will be generic and too much like Yavin. I need a night sky stronghold
  2. please eric, i think vanguards/pts had enough of punishment for being overpowered a decade ago they really need utility or two to be viable in pvp. compared to juggs they're like level 10 toon without all the abilities unlocked. and no i don't main either.
  3. I'm among first people that started regularly using skanking the way you describe it in PVP. And the reason is that tanks are useless otherwise, the only thing they can do is die slower. Any fix should give a reason for tanks to stay in PVP. I think I already wrote this somewhere so I won't go into details, but imho the only way to balance PVP is to: 1. balance individual toons. no player should be able to defeat other player of the SAME EXACT skill in 1vs1 no matter the toon. ex. dps would devastate healer, but healer would heal up yet unable to significantly hurt dps. after an hour they would be at the same hp. simmilar goes for tanks, tank would take less damage from dps but would hurt him less too. 2. after that stop balancing individual toons and balance them as group (synergy balance). code is already there (if x enemies are in the vicinity, sniper gets the defense boost, so game is aware of this metric). for example if after individual balancing healer-tank synergy proves too powerful you don't nerf individual classes, but them as a duo - if enemy dps nearby is overwhelming or, i don't know, friendly dps ain't near they get -200 on defense for being scared.
  4. This was nerfed in an older patch, when disintegrating into unassembled components was introduced
  5. Not familiar with current drop rates for lower command levels (never had any problems with it before) but they did in fact ninja nerfed 248 drops for the 300+ levels in the patch when they introduced dissintegration into unassembled components (This was a huge nerf, like 10 times less drop). Maybe it's the result of the same patch or some later tweak.
  6. It's random but drop rates were significantly nerfed. All my tunes that leveled over 300 in pre-nerf period have FULL cargos of 248 gear and I'm using them to equip those that went over 300 after the nerf. Also many of the guildies noticed it as soon as it came live.
  7. this an old one but they extremely ninja nerfed 248 gear drops from the crates when they introduced unassembled components from dissintegration. this made gearing MUCH harder even though they advertised it as an improvement and a great solution for randomness.
  8. EDIT: nvm misunderstood your question
  9. I'm not sure what's the dev aim regarding alts. On one point you limit guild membership to 1000 counting each alt as an individual. That makes me think you want to encourage people to have alts in different guilds. But on the other hand once I complete the biggest point giver (op) on one char for one guild, doing it on another char no longer contributes to the other (often smaller) guild. Makes no sense.
  10. Ever since I landed on the roofs of Zakuul I wanted this stronghold. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the effort, but for me Manaan and Copero are very underwhelming. Hope if Zakuul palace ever comes out it will be WELL thought out and with lots of flora (not just decos, but grass and hedges) Zakuul palace missions are also one of the memorable ones for me, along with the datacrons, hope if ever more content is released it would feature some small adventure-like elements too, not only - here's your corridor and endless spawning trash.
  11. The current way gives you completely random people and op leaders (with good reason) don't like that. So the current solution is making premade group on the fleet, as other people pointed out. So hang there and follow the chat. This of course sucks because you need to be on the fleet instead of doing your business, there is "Lfg" channel, unfortunately absolutely no one uses it, at least not on Darth Malgus. The other solution would be for a group finder to show people in queue so one could pick his crew and avoid trolls.
  12. This was probably already suggested in the thread, but my opinion is that cap should not be increased and instead alts should count as single character only.
  13. "Cheats" can roughly be divided into hacks and exploits. During my SWTOR experience, I encountered only one type of hack, and that's a speedhack, in both PVP and GSF. From technical standpoint based on what we know about the SWTOR client and general game design practices, it makes sense that this is the one of the very few (if not the only) type of hack possible. There are/were many exploits, however they are generally well known among more experienced players and are (usually) not too much gamebreaking. However they are/were mostly poorly handled by the BW giving some players tremendous advantages. As for GSF I have yet to see damage/defense related type of exploit. I would get *** type of oneshots often but then I would scroll back and see that I've missed enemy taking damage powerup. I was on the other side a few times to see the next scenario: my mate would pursue enemy, I would load the gunship and hit but not 100%, and my mates blasters would take a kill. this happens so fast and simultaneous that it looks to me like I killed the enemy, but the message says otherwise. I guess in such case the enemy must wonder how the hell could my mates blasters kill him so fast.
  14. Good thing I checked the board first almost extended the subscription (which ends today ) just for that. Not that it would be bad idea to bring the rewards back sometime, I missed HK-55, Nico and Shae Vizla as they always fell into those few months a year I can't play, by Murphy's law.
