  1. Same here. Can't log in, I get "login service currently unavailiable". What really grinds my gears is that the message directs you to the Forums, where NO information is given, and the SWTOR Twitter account is just showing useless pics, Cartel Market ads and Chapter 10 hooks to keep people subscribed. Come on, Bioware/EA/whoever is in charge of this. At least an explanation would do. There's bound to be SOMEONE to deal with these things, all around the clock. Meh. Had an early dinner, tucked the kids into bed, poured me a nice drink, sat in front of the computer for some quality time...and there goes my evening
  2. I never did a Tactical FP before 4.0, so I don't know how they were before. I don't find them challenging at all. You can roflstomp every single boss in 208 vendor gear without knowing the mechanics, as long as someone clicks on a free Kolto station a couple of times. Heroics, on the other side, are GREAT fun. You need to follow the mechanics, and you can wipe. First one I tried was Battle of Ilum, and we actually failed at the last boss (Darth Serevin) because there's a one hit kill ability and we didn't know it. So we had to work together, talk for a minute, plan the order of interrupts to avoid wasting them, and then execute it. Understanding mechanics + teamwork + success = fun. Not having tried Operations (true endgame) yet, I'd say the game is pretty well adjusted for difficulty, and the new companions only make it even easier.
  3. I got this yesterday, in my first attempt (I was worried for reported bugs, so I didn't know if it would pop). I did not click on the sliceable element at the beginning. I don't have enough influence to click on the 4 specialist buffs, so I didn't even try. I did search the two Paladins specifically, and I completed the bonus objective. I extensively used the photonic shields during the last phase, and also the droid drop that takes charges from the Exarch. Of course I used my own buffs and stims, and even Guarded my companion. It was the Belsavis Star Fortress. In order to start, I talked to the relevant NPC, selected "START HEROIC MODE" and then entered. Selected Belsavis on the shuttle menu, and run it. Immediately after killing the Exarch and before leaving, the achievement popped. I did not experience any bugs at all.
  4. I don't enjoy PvP in this game at all, but I wanted M1-4X. I don't have any PvP gear at all, I don't know the maps, I don't know how to play those warzones, and I was absolutely not interested. I didn't want to waste resources on PvP consumables either. So what I did is: I started queing. I try to focus on enemies which I saw throwing heals, and enemies which looked squishier (Sorcs before Juggernauts and all that). I tried to use my cooldowns wisely, and my stuns and interrupts as well. I only needed 20 lost Warzones. Lost most of them, won a few, did not have any fun at all. Best ones overall were Deathmatches against obvious premades, because they were over in a minute. I tried to do the best for the team, I accepted tips and instructions, and some defeats were even a close call. In the end I dragged through the experience, took me just two or three hours tops, and I even got some Legacy achievements out of it. So I say, it's boring, but it's short, and requires no effort or luck, just a bit of patience. Everyone can do it easily and reasonably quickly, and it's guaranteed success even if you get ROFLstomped 20 times in a row. Now, if they required warzone VICTORIES, that would be another very different matter. But even zero value PvPers can get this easily.
  5. As a Datacron collector, I completely agree. I don't mind puzzles, I don't care (much) about complicated jumps with the sub-par architecture the game has devoted to this activity. But last week I spent literally DAYS farming those blasted pigs. Not only that: competition was fierce, as was Instance jumping. In the end, I was EXTREMELY lucky and I managed to farm the pigs in three days. THREE DAYS doing nothing but farming the same stupid placeholder mob again and again and again and again. For the third pig, I was camping the mob and two Imperials appeared to camp it as well. We fought every time to tag the pig, we tried to put ourselves on top of the spawning point to make the others misclick...it was horrible. MANY pigs later, the named one appeared and I managed to tag it before the Imps. I couldn't believe my luck...and I couldn't help feeling sorry for the other guys. If I camped the pig for hours only to have it stolen under my nose by another player, I would have punched through my own screen. Icing on the cake: once I finished the quest, of course there were 4 or 5 players waiting on the final rocks, to steal the chests that appear. So yes, the Rishi datacrons are OBNOXIOUS and, despite my never having to go through that again, I wholeheartedly support changing them. Also, I am using the Wolf of Rishi title and God knows I'm never changing it. Almost 5 minutes for each respawn, 5% chances of a named pig to pop, and pray no other players are around. This is not fun, and doesn't reward exploration, cooperation, skill or ANYTHING. It's bad design.
  6. Same here. I had no issues at all yesterday. Today, I cannot launch the game. It gets stuck at the splash before character selection. I have Nvidia driver updates OFF, and there were no updates today, so it's not that. A bit dissapointed, had a terrible day at work and I fancied a bit of Star Wars. Not going to happen, I guess. EDIT: 10 minutes at the splash screen, I finally had access. I'm in and playing.
  7. Same here. All my parts are gone, my quest log says I have to go back to Theoretika
  8. Nope. I have early access but as I am relatively new, I was still lvl 55 and questing on Makeb. In no way I began the KotFE arch (not even SoR yet), nor I have other characters at lvl 60. This lvl 55 was my highest levelled character, and C2 is gone. Relogging solved nothing. I did not lose the crafting slot because I got Nico, but C2 lines were very fun and I was rising his Affection bar.
  9. Thanks, I will try this this evening when I can log in. What about the matrix shards and cubes? Are they gone? What happened?
  10. Hi there. Apart from losing my C2 ship droid (which sucks), I have experienced this and is seriously *********** me off: I had a couple of HK-51 parts left to collect, but I already had all the ones involving the searching with the scanner and buying from the jawa seller. Now I still have my scanner, but ALL my HK parts have been removed and my quest has been rolled back to the Theoretika part. ***? If there was a full rollback I could understand, but just back to Theoretika and depriving me of all the found parts? Why was that? Also, I had a lvl 55 matrix cube. It's not in my inventory, the shards are not in any tabs and I cannot find them. Are these bugs or working as intented? I thought I had read all the patch notes.
  11. Hi there. I am currently leveling up my first and only character, a Guardian. I finished Taris completely and went to Nar Shaddaa. Lvl 25, so overlevelled to begin Nar Shadda, but oh well. The thing is: I have been taking Basic Commendations as quest rewards all the time, over any gear for me and my companions that was offered. I read somewhere that Basic commendations can be used to get better gear, not only to start endgame content, but also to get your hands on some decent stuff for leveling up. I have crappy gear (no luck with drops in Flashpoints or missions) and I am terribly poor, as I am spending all my availiable credits on training Diplomacy-Bioanalysis-Biochem. The thing is: where can I get some of that Commendation gear at my level? I tried to search Torhead but it seems to be outdated and wasn't helpful. Also, is it better if I hoard them like there's no tomorrow so I'll have a nice pile of them by the time I reach the last levels? In short: WHERE, WHEN and WHAT FOR should I use them? Thanks in advance.
  12. New player here, only one character, lvl17. Strong MMORPG background and Star Wars fan of course. Still learning the ropes but very satisfied with the game so far, except for the weird and soul crushing lag/ability delay which I hope will be addressed soon. I'm looking for a relaxed and mature guild that doesn't matter me tagging along for the Experience bonus. I am self sufficient and willing to help other members. In this for the long run, so eventually I'd like to get into raiding, but real life comes first. Still, I play most days whenever possible. If you are looking for members and are not picky about levels, I'd appreciate an invite to KIERATH. Thanks in advance.
