  1. God I feel so weird now. I can totally lose myself in this game. An example is this weekend. I started playing Sunday afternoon. I played all night, and into Monday (it's early Tuesday here now) without even realizing it. My roomie asked me if I wanted to go shopping, so I went with her, and on the way she said she needed to stop by the bank, and I was like "on Sunday?!" And she gave me a funny look, and said "no, sweetie...it's Monday." I'm not even speed leveling though. I could spend hours in between missions just wandering around the galaxy checking things out.
  2. I'm all on that, and yes I'm being genuine this time.
  3. What's Australia? Is that a new server?
  4. Oh, it's another smart a**. I approve. (Mandelorian Bloodgauge mission giver whose name I can't remember) "Ha! I like this one!"
  5. Ah. Ok. Yeah, it's old. I've had it forever. Thank you for the information.
  6. INCOMING!!! http://happyweddingwishes.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Giant-Wedding-Cake5.jpg T'was the biggest one I could find.
  7. Lt. Pierce does that at least three times a week. Jaesa and Vette think it's funny to goad him into it. We also make him wear a lower robe, and a halter top type thing on the bridge. Or I'll take him out with me on Hoth in nothing but his underwear. I was mad that I couldn't kill him at first, but come to think about it, you got to have some serious balls to betray a Sith so brazenly. I kind of respect that, even though I enjoy humiliating the hell out of him every chance I get.
  8. I did the most ridiculously stupid thing I've ever done today (in a game anyway). I was initiating an Elite fight, and for some unknown reason I will never fully understand, I targeted a mob several feet away( I think, it's a little hard for me to judge distances). And I charged, but I thought I was charging at the Elite, but nooo, I went flying off past Jaesa, who was busy stomping a mudhole in said Elite's rumpus. So, I, in a panic, went running back toward Jaesa, but in so doing I pulled two Strongs (silver are Strongs, yeah?) and like three standard mobs with me. Holy Christ in a tutu that was a crazy fight. Jaesa is just a little bit psychotic though, so she was loving it. We survived though, and emerged (barely) victorious. So you can do it. As others have said, use your interrupts and learn good crowd control. It's also helpful to have a good high damage output rotation going. Once you slip into the pocket ("in the zone" IOW), you'll pick up a rhythm, almost like a dance, and you'll be all good. It just takes practice learning your own rhythm. Also, make sure your companion is all geared up too.
  9. Dorian has it. He's in the Dark Temple on Dromund Kaas. It seems you're making the assumption that all those in favor of the 12X XP unlockable idea are skipping content. Not all do. I for one do every quest I can find, I even go out looking for 'hidden' ones (like a datapad in the middle of nowhere giving a quest), I want to experience every thing this game has to offer. Except for the grouping stuff. I have severe social anxiety, and making myself talk to people, even online is incredibly stressful and taxing for me. I love people, it's just very hard to interact. About a month before I subbed, my therapist brought up the idea that an MMO might help. So far it hasn't. I love to hang out and read the conversations in gen chat (when people aren't arguing haha), but I still can't bring myself to join in the conversations or join a group. I am getting better though. This is the first forum I've ever posted on without spazzing. So maybe I'll be ready for a group someday. I'm babbling. I'm sorry. Anyway, not all those in favor of 12 X XP skip content, that's all I really wanted to say.
  10. I kinda do, but I'm what they call an outlier. Whoever "they" are. I'm totally on board with the 12X XP idea being unlockable though, that would be pretty cool.
  11. Hi kids*, I gots the Essential Guide to Planets and Moons and Belsavis isn't listed. I wanted to learn more about it. So I pulled it out and looked it up, and it isn't there. There are others not there as well such as Tython, and I was wondering if anyone knew why. If there's already a thread where this is discussed, can someone point me to it? *I'm a kid, too. I greet just about everyone that way.
  12. You got an ImageShack commercial? Meh. Not much of a reward.
  13. He is. That was a bizarre thing to say. If he's not real, what is he?
  14. I've noticed this too in certain cases, but it seems to have helped me adapt, and play differently. I think it's made me a little better. I was taken by surprise the first few times it happened though. I was like "What?? Wait a minute...those were just...***? Why'd they have to hit me with a bus for, that's so unfair!" I used to approach fights "BANZAI!!" style. I'm a bit more cautious now.
  15. Those a-holes. They think they're so damn funny. We'll do it again sometime. Lately though, I've sensed Quinn is going to betray me at some point, so I'm thinking of taking him around Hoth in nothing but his underwear. That backstabbing little weasel deserves it.
  16. You mean rip off their idea and take credit for their work? (I'm totally kidding. I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. I hope you find someone to help you.)
  17. I agree with everything you said, you give great advice, especially the part on people giving up and dropping out of Warzones early. I'm thankful there aren't soldiers IRL doing that. Not many anyway. So thank you. I have an off topic question that doesn't deserve it's on forum thread though. I see people saying "crickets" when referring to people not responding, and I wonder if that person maybe has never been in the country, because crickets are the noisiest damn things on Earth, they never seem to shut up. Not that I mind, I'm just saying. Damn those things talk to each other a lot. So it seems a little contradictory. So I was just wondering why people say "crickets" as opposed to using an animal or insect that never says anything at all, since that's what they really mean.
  18. This. I love playing with those two. Jaesa especially. I love her, she's crazier than a bag of Manka Cats.
  19. I used to complain and p=ss and moan about everything I didn't like, just like you. Then I took an arrow to the knee.
  20. YES!!! Make everything free! And let us have our ships at level 1! And free Strongholds! And free decorations! And no fuel costs! And make travel completely instantaneous, and make it possible to move faster on fleet, because being able to move around fleet in 30 seconds or less on foot is BS---that takes too damn long. What does BW think this is, an MMO? Make credits irrelevant! No. No, there wouldn't. There are a whole lot of people who are completely incapable of being happy unless they have something or someone to b-tch about.
  21. Yep! That was me I thought sure I'd get banned from visiting Alderaan after that Colicoid incident. But how can you resist causing that much chaos?? I certainly can't. Oh yeah. I'd love to see the holorecording Mako has of the streaking on Fleet thing. That has hilarious. Not necessarily the damage it caused; as awesome as it was, just that "Nerf in the headlights" look on people's faces. So worth it.
  22. I'm Darth Cartman's apprentice. Haha. Kidding. I'm on Disability.
  23. No, but there's lots of good stuff to read there. I was more or less talking about the "seeker" droids I see on some worlds. Also neoseeker.
  24. Thanks so much for the answers, and knowing I wasn't being a smart a** just for the sake of it. I really appreciate the answers. I'm very new to MMOs, and gaming in general, so a lot of this stuff is a bit confusing. I was viciously attacked and bitten by a geek bug about a year and a half ago, so a lot of this stuff is very new to me. Damn. Now I have to go build colossuses haha.
