  1. Cute, but I believe you know exactly who I was calling petulant. That would be the PvErs who cry and whine and stamp their feet about being "forced" into an activity they detest for a reward they desire.
  2. I wonder if some of the posters here realize how petulant they sound as they stomp their feet. Doubtful.
  3. Queue pops 30+ times only to be instantly cancelled after half a second... over and over and over Noticed a 64 Operative healer, 47 marauder, 46 something.. me, 65 powertech AP finally I get a pm from the marauder "are you a tank or dps" "uh... DPS, clearly, and it's a tactical fp. Tank unnecessary, besides, there's a 64 healer queuing anyway." "enemys still have aggro tables we need a tank" "you new to the game or something? It's a tactical fp, we don't need a tank." "been playing a while, need tank its a fp." "no seriously, you a noob? I'm telling you YOU DONT NEED A TANK FOR A TACTICAL FP." "no you're a noob queuing as dps when you're a tank for fp" - ignores me ahhhhh.... comedy.... every time I think this game is being made dumber and dumber for no real reason, I meet someone like that and realize... yep, there's a reason. tldr Cool Story bro
  4. I think you need to re-read my post.
  5. Usually they just copy/paste some tripe about it being a bug, and they can't do anything in regards to bugs, and then direct you to submit a bug report or check the forums. Ticket closed. While I understand some things are beyond CS control, the least they can do is say "we've submitted a bug report on your behalf, rest assured the appropriate team has been notified and shall look into this problem." Instead it's "Not our department. Sorry. Enjoy the game!"
  6. Why would it be hastily designed if it was on their radar as priority? Your whole argument makes no sense to me... Anything hastily designed is going to annoy a lot of people, regardless of it was PvP or PVE.... Do a shim shod job and people who take part in the content are going to notice.... I don't think anyone here was advocating for Bioware to slap together something in a week or 2 and throw it at us and be like "there's your new PvP content, see? We care! Now shut up and enjoy this crap."
  7. How does this in any way shape or form have any bearing on the decision to not add anything meaningful to PvP? There are no new maps, no new game modes..... Are there are any plans at all for that to change? I haven't read a thing, if so. I'm not talking about balancing, that's a whole different kettle of fish... I'm talking about PvP content. I assume the OP was referring to that, as well.
  8. Priority? No... but it should get SOME attention. As a Dev, why have an entire section of your game if you're just gonna ignore it for the most part and pretend like it doesn't exist?
  9. If it is a matter of determining what you have left to do, this is what I did I checked to see what the specfic codex the datacron unlocks (the swtor-spy guide tells you) and then just checked to see if I had the codex ## unlocked on my char... If I didn't, I went after that Datacron. Note this will not get you the achievements, since the Matrix Shards are not included on the Legacy Datacron page, you have to check the individual planet Exploration tab for that.
  10. well I'm about to complete my t1 set, just need 1 more win for my last implant and I will verify if this is true or not. Yeah, either he forgot his crystals or is experiencing some sort of bug - full t1 pvp set at 65 is 2018
  11. I'm on Jedi Covenant.. I don't think you can trade comms, I believe the grants sold by the vendor are legacy bound non tradeable... I appreciate the offer, but I'm just struggling through it and slowly gearing up... Been lucky so far tonight with some pretty good teams
  12. Oh, my bad for not being clear... am 65, and never did any pvp on this char until they were 65
  13. My expertise is at 1100 or so with a 65 pvp bracer and weapon I understand skill plays a huge role, I did do a decent amount of pvp years ago on my sorc (might have been 2.0?) and I pvped a lot in WoW... I'm no expert but ANY means, but I'm not TERRIBLE either
  14. mostly 208 pve gear, which i know is complete crap but suffering through countless WZ matches as nothing but an easy kill is a weird system to get people to enjoy PvP if it put me in games with other people that had zero expertise gear, then okay.. no problem but clearly that's not the case here.. I guess this is why you see some people just sitting in corners barely moving for some matches
  15. Not really.. I just want to play the character I have.... so I pretty much have to suck it up and be completely useless for tons of matches until I accumulate enough commendations to get a full set.... That's a wonderful system they have here, no wonder so many people despise pvp. Guess I'll just wait for Battlefront, at least that won't frustrate the living hell out of me.
  16. I don't know why I was under this impression, but I thought one of the goals was to make pvp more "accessible" in 4.0 Could have just made that up in my head though
  17. Every single piece of purple gear I've received has been tank spec. Even the blaster rifle that dropped (which my class can't even use) had tank stats on it.
  18. Why is this system so ridiculously complicated ? Is it to discourage new comers to pvp so that the vets have fodder to farm/smash in every unranked warzone? I'm just curious as to the logic behind the system, since it really appears to be the most whacky illogical pvp gearing system I've ever encountered in any MMO... I've tried reading the bolster threads explained, but clearly I'm mentally deficient... so someone please help me out here... How does a level 65 with no warzone commendations gear for pvp so that they're not 2-3 shot and basically completely useless against 2018 expertise opponents?
  19. This isn't RNG, this is broken.. I've now done 15 Tactical flashpoints and have received ONE single item that was DPS. Every single other piece, and I mean 20-30 pieces of gear (blue, purple) all have defensive stats on them. Compared to one single piece for dps? That's RNG?
  20. I'm confused, maybe someone can help me out... I'm playing a Bounty Hunter Powertech, specced as Advanced Prototype. Queue as DPS only, as that's what my spec is...DPS. Almost every single drop I've had in tactical flashpoints has defensive stats on it. I might have had one piece of gear that was for a DPS spec. This pertains to the BOP gear that is personal loot, not the BOE stuff that everyone rolls on. Is this just horrific RNG, or is something bugged here? I know many people will say I'm exaggerating but it is has literally been 90%+ of my drops have been for Shield Tech, not Advanced Prototype or Pyrotech.
  21. Forgive me if I'm misinterpreting but is this thread contradicting what you are saying about crit vs power? For augments and relics http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=846804
  22. I'm confused as to why people feel that because they log into a game they should be entitled everything contained within as long as it falls under the category of activities they enjoy doing. It's 20 warzones for what? A companion? 2? You want it so badly that you think it's going to ruin/break the story/game for you....but you don't want it bad enough to complete the required > 20 warzones? I am really at a loss here. I want some really cool mounts, crazy looking armour sets, the highest item level gear. However, I don't want to dump truckloads of real money into the game (or more than I have already), grind for hours/weeks, or do any OPs or generally jump through hoops for some of the more crazy stuff that has silly requirements. Therefore, I understand, a lot of stuff.. I simply won't get... not because it's unfair, but because I'm unwilling to meet the criteria. I wouldn't ever consider demanding that the game be changed based on that principle alone. Man, talk about laziness and selfishness.
  23. Wow. I am in awe of this thread and the demands made within. Every day I visit these forums I come away thinking I've seen the worst in childish impetuousness the internet has to offer....and every day I come away impressed that the bar has now been set higher (lower?). I want it but I don't want to do something I don't like for it! But I waaaaaaaaaaaant it!!!! *stamps feet*
  24. Of course it serves their interest, but honestly the crafting thing is ridiculous....if you're building assembly components now, the required amount of white items is just silly...99 is hardly adequate, 500 would be "reasonable" at this point Besides, anyone who is crafting in such large quantities that this has become a real annoyance MORE THAN LIKELY has all of their inventory, personal and legacy stashes unlocked to maximum already. It serves no purpose to have the white items capped at such a small stack size given the changes to crafting.... It's just an annoyance. It's come to the point where I'm leaving a low level alt at the vendor on Fleet soley for the purpose of buying white mats.
