  1. It''s back up now? That's a shame, it should have been up when I tried to log in to buy some CC for some legacy unlocks. Too bad I'm playing something else now and won't be logging into SWTOR again for most of the week. You want my money BW? Earn it. Patch those bugs, kids, instead of just releasing new ones.
  2. No one's expecting perfect. 'Functional' would suffice.
  3. BitRaider is literally only useful to people that want to start playing the game while it's still downloading. It's caused more problems having it active for patching than it has having it disabled. This is the first time ever that I've had an issue patching with it disabled, which has been the case for the last 2+ years in my case, and every patch in that time has gone smoothly, minus bugs on BW's end. Which this is, regardless of the patching method anyone has chosen.
  4. Alright, the news is, the game WILL patch, after repeated attempts. You will have to close the launcher and end the process in your task manager in order to restart it, and it will proceed to download the next set of files and install them, then 308 on you, whereby you rinse and repeat. I would advise closing the launcher manually, and ending its process, when you do finally get into the game, or you'll be interrupted by the 'null pointer' error message when the launcher 'crashes' out.
  5. Meanwhile, I'm going to go play Elite instead. Things like this wouldn't happen if BW fixed old bugs instead of just trying to patch new ones on top of them with 'new content' that no one can play because bugs.
  6. That's assuming they use testers. Which they don't the vast majority of bugs and other problems in games would be solved if developers actually played their own games. And not just for testing, but actually played them. based on live gameplay footage from devs themselves showing of kotfe, we know this isn't the case here, because they had little to no idea how to play their own game.
  7. It's happening in the same place for everyone. 127.0.0.1.
  8. We shouldn't be the ones fixing this. If we can't click our way into the game with the interface provided, it's BW who's dun f'ed up, not us. Advising people to fool around with the launcher like you've done is irresponsible. If you know what you're doing, then that's great, you do what you do, but other people who have no idea how to fix things they might accidentally screw up are your responsibility if you give them these kinds of 'solutions'.
  9. Internal error... Abort: Pointer is NULL (.\shared\hashtbl.c/128)
  10. This. Each time I fail to patch, I close the launcher to try again. I noticed this was happening though the first time I tried to relaunch it and it told me I can only have one launcher going at a time. Checked processes, there it was. I've exited it from there numerous times trying to patch, but this time I've left the process there to see how long it keeps kicking. So far, it's been sitting there for over half an hour despite having closed the launcher using roughly a quarter of my cpu. EDIT: I actually just got an error message and the process ended, although stupid me on autopilot exited the error message without reading it, so I'm going to run it again and quote this post with what the error says in a reply.
  11. You're kidding right? You think you made flashpoints more challenging? By making them more annoying? Flashpoints are piss. I can run most tacticals solo with a companion healing me. In fact, tacticals with four people now are just tedious, not hard. If one person drops, you pull out a companion for heals and finish it easy. No, by turning all flashpoints into tacticals without rebalancing them to BE tacticals, ie not need a proper healer-tank-dps team, you have done little more than break them for most people who used to enjoy running them while levelling through the story. Now, there's no point to them at all, because story XP is all you need, with a few sidequests, to be at level 65 before you've even completed chapter two of the core game, no flashpoints required. Additionally, new content is all well and good, but a few days ago, I was running Blood Hunt solo as part of the story, and the fight with jos and valk kept resetting, even though I was winning. After a few resets, I got tired of it and tried to exit the FP. I couldn't, cuz I was 'in combat', despite the fight having reset and apparently waiting to begin again. So I typed /stuck to kill myself so I could get out of it. I died, and remained in combat, unable to do anything at all. So as I was saying, new content is all well and good, but you gotta fix what's broke BEFORE you release more broken stuff on top of it. Because right now, you've got broken piling on top of broken. I know your EA slave drivers demand certain release schedules etc, but they're not paying the bills, your customers are. And I'm not playing broken trash, regardless of how much of it there is. And if I ain't playin', I ain't payin'. One more thing. Here's just one example of the things your 'new content' has broken. When I see Corso pointing air-blasters at people, and everyone's taking him seriously, I just feel all immersion slipping out the window. Not that long ago, prior to KOTFE, I was one of those few people who didn't spacebar through those two hundred million dollars worth of dialogue you had in your game. Now I see things like this, and I have to switch sides. Team spacebar ftw! This isn't an RPG for me anymore, it's an arcade game that's fast becoming not worth what I pay for it. And playing for free? I think you'd have to pay ME to do that.

    Bugs on bugs

I'm unsubscribing. I'm done, guys. First of all, Blood Hunt, solo mode, fight with Jos and Volk keeps resetting. Nearly beat it, and reset. Four times. Then I decided I don't care anymore and I'll skip it and go straight to KOTFE, but now just trying to launch chapter one results in me getting put on the fleet instead of actual gameplay. What the everliving hell are you clowns doing over there? Why is this so broken? Why is it that going through this forum, I can find all this broken stuff, and you're still releasing expansions and crap and adding new bugs on top of existing ones as a result, instead of fixing existing products? For those of us that subscribe, what are we paying you for? This game is literally unplayable for me right now, and I am done.
  13. And if you apply the context they're used in, you can make sense of some very incoherent gibberish. Again, I understood him just fine and even explained it for you, as he just did himself. Also, words only have meaning in context. "Definition" and "meaning" are two different things.
  14. I understood him just fine. Put a barrel or hilt in your companion's weapon, dismiss and resummon, and they get a boost. Obviously english isn't his first language, but what he's saying is perfectly clear enough with a little application of context.
  15. I don't really care one way or the other at this stage. Normally, I'm against exploitation, but in this very extreme case I'll make an exception, because it's either I do this, or I unsub anyway. Unsub, banned for life, very little difference to me. Big difference to BW, though, if they just balance the game properly and let me play it the way I enjoy it. They get to keep my sub then. I'll go out on this one and state straight up that I intend to take full advantage of this when soloing SF if it proves too difficult after the nerf for me, because it didn't before and according to Musco himself, shouldn't now. If it's not, if Musco is right, I'll leave it alone. But I haven't tried a SF since the companion sledging so I'm yet to find out.
