  1. OK, OK, wait a sec here So, green goes to purple in droids, right? And we can't advance blues to purple? That will be a stupid thing to do, no? I mean, from the OP guide, greens go to blues, blues to purple, if I go from green to purple, what's the point? Can I advance my Overkill purple if it's a Tier 1? Also, thanks, for the info, mr.flippy, checked wrong in the OP list
  2. And btw, a few questions/answers: 1) Cybertechers Our mods and armour seems to be only updatable to a Tier 1 blue level (I mean, same name in blue and different statistics). Can they be updatable to more than one Tier 2 purple items? Or just one? For example, Skill Armour level 7 (green) will give Skill Armour level 7 (blue). No prefix (I'm sure, I have nearly all of them up to my level). Same goes for the purple? Skill Armour level 7 blue gives purple and that's all? 2) Ship parts are also updatable? I mean, Grade 4 blue missiles (schematic) can be updatable to their Tier 1, and then to Tier 2? 3) I have read a few pages back someone asking a question about droid parts with mods, if RE is possible or not. Well, it is, I have REd a lot of droid parts extracting the mods, and never had a problem (or just the ones given by the trainer)
  3. OK, this might sound a little bit strange, but today I was crafting some Premium items to learn the Tier 1 version, and one of the droid parts from Cybertech drop me, instead of a Tier 1, a Tier 2 version (Overkill). Has someone had this before? I assume it is a bug or that my wookie is a very intelligent thingy PS: Btw, I know it was Premium because I have not prototype droid parts in my crafting yet
  4. It improves a lot indeed. Rep side talking, a droid with only one purple core (like mine in the starts) goes from healing about 30-60 points (all the others in green, I mean) to over 300 points. Now that I have 2 cores and mostly the others in blue gear, it resists a lot and heals a lot. He only lacks damage, but obviously it's not his main I'm the dps, he need to save me. I did the other day the Balmorra Rep Side Heroic 2+ and Area 2+ with other gunslinger and his tank companion, with my droid, and we didn't die. We also killed both bosses without a problem.
  5. Just some info, droids indeed have special items. I have an artifact quality core for my droid, if you need any kind of proof please let me know and as soon as I connect to the game I will take a screenshot. I crafted it in first reverse try This is a great guide for us cybertechers, grenades are the most awesome thing I have encountered in the game so far.
  6. You might wanna check it a few more times. With slicing you get special missions and schematicas, and both of them can check for a heck of a lot
  7. No...And no. They have to upgrade this professions, for sure, but if they nerf cybertech it will be usseless.
  8. Those are awesome Alderaan one is a non heroic (Area, but you don't need a group), but Balmorra one is heroic and it's perfectly balanced, and has an fantastic puzzle
  9. That¡s for sure I will avoid then complaining about this up to level 50
  10. I think most of the people hinting opinions about cybertech here (my main) don't know how to use it. Cybertech can do a hell of a lot of damage with purple thingies, and better, you can have permanent purple mods, purple gear and the best thing, you can have purples in mostly everything without a problem (hell, I even have purples in some things in my ship and I'm not even near 400). And that's for every skill in game. So no, you don't need biochem, and it will be nerfed for sure (mostly, Rakata will not be only used by Biochem owners, that's stupid for the game). ¿The others will get better things? For sure, not now, but in the end yes, and that's when guilds like this will have a problem. They will have to start upgrading other professions and getting new purples just to be on the edge. Diversity is a win win in every game, that's a statement that any good player in any game (including MMOs) need to know. PD: I'm a gunslinger and I can deal a lot of damage and recover a lot of hit points without a problem even in the hardest flashpoints to my level, and I don't have own healing, you just need to be more careful.
  11. I was the other day in a WB, and yes, it was possible to do something, cause I saw the leader "award" the things, but I don't know how the hell it can be done.
  12. Offtopic: I keep listening to people about having to get tank+2dps+healer to do an Heroic 4. That's simply not true. I did the other day a Heroic 4 with 3 gunslinger (ranged dps, at his best), and a healer (commando, not in the level of the quest, about 2-3 levels below), and we did it just fine. Yeah, we died one time due to an error, but we did the Heroic without any problem. Heroic 4 was in Alderaan, Rep side, the one in Castle Panther, and if someone has done that one, you must know that you have to kill a few groups of mob. So no, still, Heroic 4s, generally, are not that difficult. A few of them can be, but still, they can be done.
  13. But still, if you just do the class quest, you can get the legacy without a problem I mean, if someone didn't discover, for example, the map in Taris, and do it now, he/she will get a thousand points per map discovered and I can't. Yep, obviously I can do it in the alts, but I feel I have lost a lot of points due to a lack of explanation in BW part, or at least a better system. Like, for example, when you earn your legacy, just have to count the discovered codex entries and the type of entry and give you the points you will "lack".
  14. All But if it's not possible then Ziost (Imp Side), Ossus (must have in the Rep Side), Yavin (and the moons), Mon Calamari (difficult planet, but at least the shipyards and so on), Sullusta, Bothawui, Ryloth and a great part of the Corporative Sector (all of them, at least, for my smuggler ) Btw, Yavin 4 is not a planet
  15. No, no, I am getting the points from the exploration, etc. since when I discover my legacy. My problem is that I feel penalized for being exloring and killing world bosses before discovering it. I mean, that points that I will get for example for killing a world boss (killing+codex entry) I will not get them now. Same for discovering a map. I can kill a few mobs to just adjust them, but things like discovering a map give about a thousand points, and that's like killing 50 mobs, so that's why I feel being penalized.
  16. You might wanna try a different approach, that datacron is clearly not a jumpy game
  17. OK, here's my first issue with the game Yesterday I reached the Legacy thing, and I discovered one thing. Part of I have done till now (like killing nearly all World Bosses till my last planet, discover all the maps and discovering a lot of lore) doesn't count to my legacy (as points). People who haven't done all this and will do it after, will get it in the Legacy advancement, but in my case, I will have to kill a lot of mobs just to recover the points given, for example, for discovering a complete map. This seems a bit unfair to the people who have done all that before.
  18. Is this territory in Alderaan Empire only? I have not discovered any Republic quest there as of yet, and the only "outpost" I have found was Empire only (not an outpost really, mostly enemy allies level 50). And the other people I seem to found are all friendlies
  19. I'm a Cybertech crafter, I have the droid all in blues, and he isn't any good against big mobs. Yes, Mandrax, that's obviously my issue, but it's not my problem. I mean, as I said before, if Bioware doesn't do anything really fast, some classes will simply remain not choosen (all Smuglers will spec to Scoundrels, and so on). More, if they allow changes in advanced class. But precisely the problem is that THEY can do Heroic 4 alone. I mean, I don't know why it seems so hard to see the problem. If healers can do Heroic 4s alone, they won't need a group, so groups won't find healers, and normal guys can't do Heroic 4s. That's not what they are supossed to be for. It's easy to find a solution. You just haave to penalize people going alone in a Heroic 4. I mean, if a healer goes in alone, you just have to make the big guy hit the healer and not the tank, for example.
  20. OK doesn't mean he can heal anything
  21. My fault my fault. Then, there's what I was talking about. If the droid is meant to stay in the ship (yes, that's pretty what I have done with him from the start), then what the hell do gunslingers have for healer? And, second side, if I try to take an elite with my tank...well, you might wanna try it, it is real fun. Yes, it can be a rare occurence, but it has happened, and if it happens, it means that any healer can do it on the same level (and I believe, she had not a hell of a gear, I repeat). She just did what a healer should do, just keep healing her tank. That means a healer can take out a champion without taking any damage, and at least my advanced class, can't. Obviously, I believe scoundrels can too (they just simply need to heal our tank). What I mean is, that's pretty stupid to take two advanced classes so differents (scoundrels and gunslingers, for example), and make them share companions. I mean, a scoundrel might need ranged/tank (Corso) or tank (wookie), but gunslingers need instead of a wookie that can't do anything a healer, and we don't get it (I mean, in the next worlds I believe so, but I'm in Alderaan and that's not happening). That's the upper level problem. The bottom level problem is easier. f we have Heroic 4 for grouping, and a healer doesn't need to group, then what the hell will the other groups do? I have done Heroic 4 with companions as healers, and yes, they can be done, but they are a real pain in the ***.
  22. I have been playing RPG games for as long as I can remember (and that is a long long), so yeah, I know that classes can be different, obviously. But when you have two different classes, and one of them can't kill a mob with half the life of the other, then there's something wrong. Yes, maybe her gear was better (even when the difference in our levels will not allow her to have a hell of a better gear), and maybe she had more skill, but even with that, I can assure you that a gunslinger can't take out a 80000 mob alone in an heroic area (4 player heroic area). That's what heroic areas are supossed for, to group. When a class (even 8 levels above the mission), can take out the final boss alone, you will have to know that there's something wrong in the game, I mean, that classes are clearly disbalanced. What you can't have is a healer that have a good of a hell of tank and that she can heal him continuosly without a problem, and a gunslinger that is in the middle of everything, we don't have a good as hell tank (well, our better tank is our first companion, and that are bigger words), and we surely don't have a good healer (our droid is a TOTAL joke). That's when game starts to be unbalanced. Yes, it can happen, I'm sure, but not with that high difference between one classes in the others. Do you know what will make this to the game? The same as in Galaxies, that all the people will want to play Jedi since they are "better". And, just to give another reason, is more difficult to find a group in Republic side with gunslinger than with any other class. I, with a good amount of luck, have 99% find very good groups, but that's not the usual thing, and that can be worse in the endgame.
  23. OK, here's the thing. Today I was in an heroic area with a group when I saw a sage, in that same heroic area, alone, getting a 80000 droid out of her way. She was in level 37 and I'm in 35, but I'm a gunslinger, so supossedly, we can do the same to the exact same droid with our companions (she had her tank companion with her, I'll take my healer companions to even the odds). My question is, I can't even take out a 30000 guy alone (I've tried with a few champions now), cause my "healer" droid seems like a joke. I don't think this is good for the balance of the game. I mean, when characters in the same level can't take guys the exact same health down, something is wrong. But gunslingers can't even get out a 30000 guy. Yes, if you have a good amount of luck and the champion can only do tank damage (not ranged), you "might" get him out. But if not, you can't. I can be playing wrong my character, but the problem seems to be more in my companion (or my specs, not healing specs, obviously) than in myself.
  24. Oh, boy, here we go again. No, I didn't, as clearly stated by Cranberries, she had to top-level in 2 days with only doing the important things. That is not having a life (momentarily or whatever you want, yes, but it is). I mean, when a game consume you too much to keep your head in it without knowing what happens at your side, it is when the afirmation stands for itself. Yes, afterwards, raids can be whatever hours you want, but that is obviously a problem in itself too, when you have to have fixed hours with your guildy friends. Yes, you have. At least, since you don't seem to like my conditions to having a life. I told you 5 or 6 messages above this one (family, work, friends, and so on), will not repeat myself. I told you before, there's people that don't have all this and can/will do whatever raid they want, but the problem is when the people has all this and a game consume you too much time (momentarily, I repeat), that you don't attend all the other stuff. Boy, yes, my affirmation stands, everybody know what the hell is a life. You can raise whatever question you want, but the definition of having a successuful life. I will put you a phrase that can help you undertstand what I mean with life: "I say, if your knees aren't green by the end of the day, you ought to seriously re-examine your life" -Bill Watterson That being said, yes, a life is also what you can enjoy of it, but a big amount of people had resposibilities that had to be done that might or not be enjoyed.
  25. 1) Yep, I am, obviouly. If you want, we can open a poll thread in the forums to check how much hard raiders have done of the game. Missions, lore, planets, etc. Obviously, goes without saying world bosses (probably all of them, but first time you have to find them) and so on. 2) Don't know which point I conceded you (you mean the one of no having a life? Nop, I didn't, I explained it in the end of my previous post) 3) Obviously I am. I'm not an encyclopedia, so I didn't thought (in my life) that I will need to explain to someone what a life is. Unless you are very very young, everyone knows what "to have a life" means. Or what of the things I mentioned you are included at least in having a life. If you feel my explanation is inadequate, you might need to enlighten me with a clear definition of what do you think to have a life is. Anyway, I can't seem to be able to explain to you why I said what I said, so yes, in this point I agree, this discussion will not reach any point in we can converge.
