  1. Devs nerf IO/AS Players almost universally loathe the changes, bring up existing problems with the spec that the combat team haven't addressed Th-this is the part where the devs listen to our feedback, right? Right?
  2. I can understand your point, but I'm still pissed that I can't DoTspread as part of the main rotation (like DF/Viru and Balance/Madness can). If the spec was improved such that Plasma Grenade/Fusion Missile spread both DoTs I'd consistently have enough spare energy to replace at least 1 of the autoattacks with Plasma Grenade/Fusion Missile then I wouldn't mind as much.
  3. I'd do something like this: DoTs restore 1 energy cell when they normally tick and 2 when they critically tick. Counting the Serrated Bolt, Incendiary Round, Pre-Emptive Strike, and guaranteed Plasma Cell ticks, that'd be a little over 30 cells restored over a full rotation (assuming 40% crit chance), which would make it slightly resource-positive, which would allow for easy DoTspreading.

As long as we're talking about Valkorion, am I the only one that the Knight Outlander doesn't get a unique line when The JK's relationship with Valk is the longest and the second-closest of all 8 classes; I was really anticipating my Guardian to talk about Also Keith, if you guys hadn't decided, as a response to player feedback, to condense the post-KotFE story and pay less (read: no) attention to bringing back companions going forward, as referenced in an earlier devpost, do you think that Final point, as long as you're taking story feedback, can we have more screentime (especially one-on-one screentime) dedicated to companions other than Lana? It's like she's your pet favourite or something.
  5. True, but it just really rubs me the wrong way to ever have to resort to autoattacks. Imo you should only have to do that if you screwed up the rotation.
  6. "Hey guys we adjusted the DPS for another spec" Why do you guys consistently forget that resource management is also a key issue for all Disciplines? It doesn't matter how much damage we do if we run out of energy in 1 minute. Here, I'll quote myself from an earlier thread, since the current AS/IO rotation costs a net 29 energy cells/heat unless you replace the two non-critical Charged Bolts/Power Shots with Hammer Shots/Rapid Shots: Resource management is a thing, and it is vitally important. You of all people ought to know that.
  7. Worst offender in this regard is AS commando. You spend a net 29 energy cells per rotation (10 GCDs) unless you replace the two non-critical Charged Bolts with Hammer Shot. (Also DoTspreading is atrocious for that spec)
  8. Same. I've actually run the numbers on the specs' resource management, and when you do that, it becomes even more evident than it is currently that the combat team doesn't know what it's doing.

To add: I suggest adjusting the cooldowns of the key abilities to bring them in line with each other: Vanquish/Demolish: 15sec Force Serenity/Force Leech: 12sec DoTs: 18sec Moreover, a 5% increase to occasional selfheals is hardly a survivability increase. As others have said, Balance/Madness needs more substantial healthsteal/defensive buffs to be viable in PvP.

Just so you know, resource management is a problem for many other specs besides Madness/Balance: Any Trooper/Hunter spec except Gunnery/Arsenal (especially AS/IO) Scrapper/Concealment (a little bit) All the Gunslinger/Sniper specs except possibly SS/MM Serenity/Hatred (though we'll see how this improves in 5.3) It's particularly noticeable in Balance/Madness only because your autoattack's range isn't as large as the others, should you need to fall back on it due to running out of energy.   11. Devs designed an imp thing better than the equivalent pub thing I feel your pain, but this isn't news.
  12. You're screwed, I'm afraid. This also happens in the Red Reaper FP if you die from falling off during the last fight, or die normally and then medres; you can't return to the arena to pick up your loot. Strange how BW doesn't have the resources to ensure a door stays unlocked
  13. Wait, really? I could have sworn I cleansed some guy's DoTs on me in that Voidstar match the other day. Oh well, I guess I was just being an idiot then. Never mind.
  14. No, s/he means by cleanses, you know, that thing that all heal-capable classes have, and whose CD is 12sec.
  15. I honestly don't care if they nerf my DPS as long as they fix my resource management (and IO dotspreads).
  16. Moreover, if you were to reduce the cooldowns of Priming Shot/Vortex Bolt to 15 seconds (with a corresponding damage decrease, of course) and Barrage/Curtain of Fire to 7 or 7.5 seconds, that'd allow for a perfect 10-GCD rotation (pretty please). Just fyi

  18. Don't like that Weakening/Hemmorhaging costs energy now, since the spec needed resource management assistance. If I already have to use my autoattack a few times in the rotation because I'm not getting enough energy back from resource procs, that isn't good. The Takedown/Quickdraw and Lethal Shot/Dirty Blast changes are good though; provides more incentive to take advantage of the Lethal Takedown/Dirty Shot proc.
