  1. I'm definitely going to go with Omnipotence. I mean, whats not to like about being all powerful?
  2. I just had a weird run of Cademinu SM. I'm leveling a Sin tank during the 12xp event, and have had surprisingly good experiences in PUGs. That changed today. I zone in and see that the group is my lvl 34 sin tank (8.8k health), a lvl 27 4k merc, a lvl 30 4.7k merc, and a lvl 27 5k mara. I am slightly horrified by those stats, but decide to see how it goes anyways. I start the first pull, and it quickly becomes apparent that this everyhting is as bad as it looks: the healer can barely heal, the dps is horrible, and the first fight takes ages. The merc healer then dissapears, but the system says that he is in the FP:confused:. After 5 minutes we vote kick him, and the mara pulls out Quinn. All of the fights are dragging on, and we finally wipe on one fight (the merc pulled a different groups of mobs than me). He quits without a word, and I pull out Andronikos We continue on our way, and are having an easier time than we did with the two mercs: Andronikos does more DPS, and Quinn does more heals. We wipe on one fight, but get the the first boss without anything else going wrong. I start the pull, and we take down the boss without a problem. We continue along with no deaths until we get to the Wookie boss. Again, we have no problems in the fight, and it finishes quickly. We have a few small problems on the way to the final boss, and all of the problems occur while running through the mobs. Anyhow, we start the fight, and wipe after a few minutes. We decide to try again, and wipe quickly this time-- neither of us managed to get out of the flames in time. The mara and I decide to try it one more time. I start the pull and, like usually, Quinn can't quite heal as fast as Ortol damages me. We avoid the flames from the rockets, but I end up combat stealthing when Ortol is at 20% health because I'm about to die. Ortol starts wailing on the mara, I exit stealth and we kill him:cool:. I crack a few jokes, add the mara to my friends list, and then exit the FP.
  3. Had really weird run of SM Hammer Station earlier today. The group is my Shadow Tank, a Guardian DPS, a Commando DPS, and a Commando "Healer". We zone in and exchange our hellos except for the "Healer" who is silent. I put my guard on the sage and start the first trash pull Everything seems to be going well. Then, half way through the first trash pull, the Guardian force jumps to another group and starts fighting it. I force speed over, pick up as much agro as I can, and then start trying to kill both groups asap. We finish the pull, and I notice that I have 1% health left. I shrug, and just assume that the healer was having a hard time keeping up. The next few pulls go fine, until we reach a group with two golds in it. Before I can start the pull the Guardian jumps in at one of the golds. I close as fast as I can and get agro on almsot everything. My health bar is draining fast though, and 6 seconds later I'm dead, with almost the entire group still alive. I return to med center and run to them as fast as I can, catching the end of the fight. After the fight we have a fairly interesting conversation.* Guardian DPS: omg noob tank you need to keep agro of off me did you see all of the enemies shooting at me? Me: Sorry, its a bit hard when you attack first. Guardian DPS: lol noob thats not how it works. also why are you tank your a shadow. thats why you die so fast Commando DPS: actually, i'm fairly certain that was the healer's fault. healer, you need to heal. Commando Healer: oh yeah sorry i forgot im not dps Me: thanks. that should help next fight. * I do not hold responsibility for people's awful grammar. The rest of the flashpoint goes pretty much the same way. The Guardian pulls first on almost every pull possible. Whats more, I continue to get no heals from the "healer". At this point the Commando DPS whispers me and says that he's switching to healing. I thank him, and we proceed with a much easier time. Everything goes fine until the trash pull right before Kreshan. We start fighting the two turrets and part way through the fight the bridge comes back online. The Guardian then runs over it right before it closes and pulls all the mobs on the other side. He dies a quick and painful death, and then starts verbally harassing the rest of the group. After the pull ends we clear the trash on the other side and the revive him. The Kreshan fight goes pretty well until the guardian is knocked into the gap and dies. Kreshan dies pretty soon after that. The Guardian then starts abusing my tanking abilities yet again. Him: **** u noob this wouldn't have happened if you were a better tank. everyone knows shadows cant tank. Me: have you played the class? Him: lol no but everyone knows shadows cant tank Commando DPS: please go read some guides. I put both the Guardian DPS and Commmando healer on ignore, and then ended up running heroics on Taris with the other Commando. TL;DR One DPS who chain pulled and thought Shadows couldn't tank, a healer who didn't heal, and a DPS who was a really nice guy
  4. Not to be rude, but this is a terrible idea. Unless some other part of all Jedi/Sith classes get nerfed, Force users will see a permanent DPS increase. Melee attacks would also become overpowered compared to ranged attacks because it would be impossible to damage yourself with a melee attack. What's more, it wouldn't make sense if lightsaber wielding NPCs couldn't also reflect attacks. This would kill gameplay for non Force classes, as they would be taking more damage in both PvP and PvE. So yeah, it's a terrible idea*. *I really hope you're joking, but I suspect that you aren't.
  5. You know, I don't really get the point of threads like these. This thread is definitely not: A. An attempt to get the DEVs to change a problem, as you offer no constructive advise and your attitude would turn any DEV who looked at this thread away. B. An attempt to get help from other players– if it was, it would most likely ask questions on how you could improve your rotation. C. A notice of you quitting– you are arguing with anyone who comes on your thread with a different opinion than you own, and thus, have not quit the game This means that there are only a few things that this thread can be in its current state. It is either A. A desperate cry for attention because you feel neglected or B. A way for you to express your anger in a highly unproductive manner. I remain hopeful that you want this post to be one of the first two options. If this is the case, you have some serious revising to do. As far as what the DEVs are doing, I think that they're trying to improve the game as best they can. Sure, that doesn't make everybody happy, but posts like this really don't help.
  6. I've been following this thread for a few months now, but up until this week nothing weird enough has happened to me to make it in here. First weird run was Lost Island HM. I get a instant pop on my 21k Sorc healer. I zone in, and see that the group is already partially through the FP. I run to them, and see that the group is a 40k Jugg tank, a 17k Merc DPS, and a 15k Sniper. I catch up and everything starts out fine. Then we get to LR-5. The tank starts explaining the tactics and off we go. Everything is going, fine, the tank is holding agro, and then energy coils start popping off. The tank explained what to do so I expect everything to be fine. Instead, the Sniper refuses to move out of the energy coil, and starts dying fast. The Merc runs out, but goes on top of the lava vent right as its going out. This repeats several times, with the sniper and the merc going down despite my best efforts. At this point, I am barely healing the tank as my force is almost all gone. We eventually wipe, and the tank stresses again not to stand on the gate as they erupt, and to stay out of the energy coils. Of course, the DPS don't listen and we wipe. And then we wipe again. Our fourth run starts much the same, except the Merc is actually staying out of the lava. The sniper goes down, and then eventually the Merc. I eventually go down, and its the tank by them self. They hold out for about 25 seconds and bring the boss down. The tank revives me, and I revive the entire group. All the boss fights follow this general format. On Sav-Rak, despite the tank's warnings, the DPS are almost constantly knocked of the platform, leading to 3 wipes. On Sample 11, the DPS dont move the first two time and die. The next two times, they keep moving but we hit the enrage. Finally, on our 5th try, we beat sample 11. At this point both the tank and I are highly worried about the Lorrik fight. Surprise, surprise, everything goes fine until the increasing damage phase. On the first take of this, the DPS run everywhere despite being told to stay still. We wipe. The next two times, the DPS isn't high enough and eventually Lorrik's DPS is too high. Finally, on take 4 of this, both the tank and I announce that if we don't make it this time we are leaving. We start up again, and barely making it, with the tank being the last one standing and, by them self, dealing about 30k damage to finish Lorrik. We say our goodbyes, the tank and I advise the DPS to buy better barrels of the GTN, and then I zone out. The next day, I zone in to Boarding Party HM. Its me on my now 26k Sorc, a 28k Mara, a 24k Merc DPS, and an 18k Jugg tank. Everyone says hello except for the tank, and we get started. Everything's going pretty fine, until I notice that I am healing the marauder DPS more the tank. The tank is guarding me, but before I tell him to change it, I inspect his gear. It is all over the place. He has an aim helm, a cunning implant, a cunning chest, willpower boots and willpower bracers. I whisper the tank asking him if he knows what his primary stat is, and get no response. At this point I decide it isn't worth it and keep going. We have no problems, with the marauder being a very good tank- and a very nice guy. We finish, I collect my rewards, and zone out. The funny thing is, I did KDY on both of these days and both of the groups I had were perfectly normal. Oh well.
