  1. I am a returning player as well, and installed it via steam yesterday. I got nothing, zilch, nada. Only way i got some subscription and stuff was via a friend referral link i used. I got 5 days sub, that's it! So if you did get subscription days, you might wanna duck your head and keep quiet? Don't wake up sleeping dogs... You're lucky!
  2. The best part of Life day is that i can get snowballbombs for all my other toons who didn't have any. I like to secretly keep them in my quickbar until the middle of the summer and then suddenly start lobbing them around. I don't know why, but it makes me smile.
  3. Good thread! I've been noticing a huge increase of rp-ing going on lately. It's like you can't walk into a cantina or Fleet without the chat filling up with rp conversations. When i got spoken to ic by an rp-er (i was walking slow, and was mistaken for an rp-er) my interest was peaked, and when i asked about a site or guide about etiquette and do's and dont's i was told there wasn't really any. I am glad to see there is and i am certainly gonna try my hand at it. This thread will help a lot!
  4. I just wanted to thank the devs and writers who created the Knights of the Eternal Throne experience. It was an awesome piece of work and some of the best experiences i had in swtor ever... I absolutely enjoyed almost every single second of it. The story was great, and i played through it from Chapter one to the very end in one go! was one of the things i loved most... i hope to see more of that! ( maybe??) I even played one of the uprisings and i must say that though it was short, it was nice. Hope to see more complex ones in the future. TL;DR: Thanks devs! KotET was awesome!
  5. 41 over here! Have been IT support specialist for 24 years before the crisis, the divorce and being single daddy prevented me from getting any worthwhile employment. started on the vic-20 and ascended in 1987.
  6. I can understand the reluctance of the devs to implement an api a little bit. The risk of opening up weak point for cheaters, hackers and other nefarious entities through such an api is not implausible. I can imagine that such a thing could quickly lead to fear for loosing players. But not having an api might be a restricting factor for the growth of the player base as well. I was thinking that maybe ther is a middle road to be found. The requests for an api is mostly motivated by the desire to seek out data from the game about players and guilds and then display that in some form customized to the needs of their specific target audience. Why not copy that data (maybe at request or something) from the game yourselves (which you probably do any way wanting to keep track of things yourselves) and then put that data into a database or something for which you then make an api available so the data can be used without any direct interaction with the gameservers. It will not cover the needs of every developer but for those seeking to collect and display or analyze the stats for their guilds and their members and or publish leaderboards or whatnot it would at least show that you're willing to accomodate them.
