  1. Except 306 gear is not needed. I just posted that 306 gear is not needed. The god bot is not needed either. I posted why. Your gear isn't the issue. Go back to page 9 and to the bottom.

I just saw the post. Thanks for the confidence, but I struggled with the final boss fight on my bounty hunter mercenary the other day. I'm being honest, we're desperate to have this flashpoint made just a little bit easier for us. Especially when we don't know the mechanics as well as we should.

  2. The God Droid won't help.

It will still be the same drag (or even bigger) because he will be aggroing just everything on the way.

The flashpoint problem is WAY TOO MANY silver mobs that you need to fight along the way.

    There is nothing else.

it is SUPER LONG, BORING LIKE HELL constant slow-down fight with groups of mobs.

I have done it on 12 characters and having next 26 on the way, I gave up.

Nothing kills me, there are no bugs, there is only BOREDOM!!!!

Yeah well, it's your choice NOT to use the damn thing. But people like me need it, especially since we're still in the pre-306 rated gear stage. Keep your opinions to yourself!

  3. But you can clear it, right? So it's not about you, or me, who can clear it half asleep, feeling like being bored to death.

The God Bot is to help people who CAN"T clear it because of the difficulty.

Give Solo Story Mode FP a God Bot and have an op-in/-out option is the BEST solution to solve future similar problems.

PS: It's absurd that Solo SM SoV is MUCH MORE DIFFICULT than VM Secret of Enclave GF. It IS broken.

I'm in 100% agreement with you right there.

  4. Thank you Jackie, that is wonderful news. Please suggest to the devs that it be an opt-in feature and not an opt-out feature. And please add a pop-up to ask if people want to use it. This way people will try playing without using it first and it’s only there as an optional backup if they find it too hard.

That sounds like a fantastic idea, Trixxie. Perhaps we'll turn to you as the idealist in the future when it comes to new content. ;)

  5. Hi all,

We'll explore adding an optional Combat Support Droid in SoV. I do not have a set target date for when this will be implemented, but wanted to say that this is something we are looking into.

As a friendly reminder to everyone, please keep posts constructive and respectful.

Awesome, that's fantastic to hear. Me and so many people find SoV just unbeatable, especially when it comes to the final boss fight, which we struggle with too much. Anything you can do to help us will be awesome, and we will continue to enjoy the game in the years to come. :D

  6. What is annoying me about this thread is both side have agreed that my solution with the GOD BOT is the easiest and best solution. But instead of coming together to petition BioWare to implement it. Those who can’t get through are still calling for the flash point to be nerfed more and this is antagonising the rest of us to say “git gud”.

At this point in the discussion, people from both perspectives are just trying to troll the other side. So why don’t you all calm the F down before BioWare does something no one will like. Ie try and nerf the boss fight even more, which adds more bugs to it and ultimately drives more people from the game who don’t like bugs or playing simple story content all the time.

Let’s get BioWare to fix everyone’s issue by adding a voluntary GOD BOT. Can we please stop fighting amongst our selves and you all work towards the solution that favours everyone.

I 100% agree with you, get Bioware to resolve this little issue. It's only the final boss fight that needs tweaking, as the previous bosses and the majority of the flashpoint are much easier from the fixes that have already been done. But adding the voluntary GOD BOT will benefit us all, so trust Trixxie and I. We both know what should be best for our gameplay experience.

  7. Being in the so called minority doesn't make those in the minority wrong. I do want help. The problem is all the offered help doesn't work. The strategies offered haven't worked because I still die using them. Attack the snipers first. I die. Attack the mob first. I die. Attack the mob outside the room. I die. Use the interrupts and Heroic Moment. I die. The other advice of getting better gear doesn't help, because I don't have the time to play the many hours it takes to get the gear. I'm not wrong for not wanting to spend two hours doing nothing but buying gear with tech fragments and still not getting above 278. I double down and say I shouldn't have to to complete a mandatory story flashpoint since it wasn't necessary for all previous content.

As for speaking about it, no I won't shut up. I empathize and share with other people who have the same problem I do. People complain about all sorts of things on these forums. Go tell everyone else who complains about anything to shut up. I can only hope Bioware listens and make the necessary changes to allow for the usual casual play I was enjoying while at the same time you and others can keep the same challenge level you're accustomed to. If earlier content is too easy for others by all means let them offer the option to increase the difficulty. Bioware does fix things. Maybe not to everyone's liking, but they do. After years of complaint they finally fixed the Voss Walker quest of Fallen Empire. I can only hope they don't take as long to fix Spirit of Vengeance, and even then it's only the Final Boss battle that needs the fix since that is where everyone who has trouble has the trouble. As tough as the other Bosses and bad guys in general are, everyone can get passed them.

You aren't the only one who speaks out loud and won't shut up about it. We deserve content that's easy to do and easy to solo! I've said before that the final boss fight in Spirit of Vengeance needs more tweaking, as I was barely able to get through it with two deaths on my Bounty Hunter Merc Mando. Seriously, this is just ridiculous. Secrets of the Enclave is pretty easy to get through for all toons that are pre-306 rated gear. But what was Bioware thinking and smoking when making Spirit of Vengeance? We just want a flashpoint that's easy to do, fun and challenging maybe, but NOT that difficult or next to impossible to get through.

  8. I do Star fortress every day I’m on for conquest. It’s easy points and one or two runs give you conquest.

And if you do it on a stealth, it’s less than 10 mins per run on vet mode.

Indeed, we both agree on that. As for stealth, I've never even tried that. But since you've intrigued me.

  9. I consider myself a conquest fanatic....because i choose to just causally care bear through the game now to stay away from all the grouped content i used to do. Conquest points are about all i do in this game now.....yea i know, its pretty boring. Ill do lots of old content to be first in the points in the member list...sometimes in both our imp and pub guild.

That being said, even i, dont desire running through star fortresses. Theyre too little points for too much (i dont mind work,,,but give me something for it for petes sake) Heroics, planet missions, kill counts, mission counts, what ever....ill do it. Star fortresses?.....ill pass.

You don't desire it, not even once? Lol. Every time I take a new character through all the content, I do the Star Fortresses in between Chapter 9 and Chapter 10 of KOTFE. Most specifically, the Voss one as the Gormak npc guy makes it easier for me when it comes to Chapter 1 of KOTET. Well, much to my surprise anyway when KOTET went live.

  10. I enjoy running them as well, and I really like running with other folks; helping them finish for the first time and getting companions. I play on Star Forge. If I ever see folks asking on Odessen for help, I will gladly volunteer. Jephry on pub side and Geophry on imp. =)

Very nice, sounds like a worthy cause. But too bad I'm on Satele Shan though.

  11. I got a better idea so that you can play all story flash points at same consistency. Let’s up the difficulty of all the other flash points to be the same as SOV. They all use to be more much harder, but we’re nerfed too or when there has been a lvl increase they got easier. BioWare have never been great at rebalancing content when they add new player lvls and it often gets easier. That’s why the rest of the game is stupidly face roll easy.

You may think your idea has merit, but let's NOT go there please! I'm happy with the past flashpoints just being do-able now in terms of story requirement, and easy to solo and complete. I and others like it this way and always will, though other players may think they can be a bit boring sometimes but I don't find them that way. Tiring maybe, but I still enjoy them. However, for SoV, it shouldn't be that difficult to complete. Challenging maybe, but NOT at a difficulty that insane! The majority of the flashpoint maybe easier to get through now I can see that, but at least give the final boss fight more tweaking to make a bit more do-able for players like myself.

  12. Unless you are trying to get the achievements and companions tied to them, there is indeed very little incentive to run them.

The main demotivator are the pityful rewards compared to doing flashpoints. If they ever get around to increasing the tech fragment and item drops to the level of flashpoints, people would actually start running them again.

True, but if it's for conquest as well, that's why I do them.

  13. I've been having this issue all day now, but it begs the question. Do people still ever run and do Star Fortresses? I've only managed to do one today, which was Tatooine. As for the rest of them, I haven't had much luck at all. And this is on my Imperial Sniper, as well as my other toons that still need to run them.
  14. I completely 100% agree with what you're saying. I was barely able to do it on my Merc dps some time ago. I died two times, and on the third try I dished out with everything I had and was just able to successfully complete the final boss fight. But this is absurd! Whoever did this just didn't care, or was drunk or was really high! When it first came out, I had so much trouble on my main jedi guardian completiontist.

So, saying this, I completely agree 100% with your predicament. So many other people besides us have had huge amounts of trouble with this damn flashpoint. It needs the amount of tweaking to make it like the other solo mode flashpoints in the past, especially when it comes to completion for story requirement. And despite the npc companion being there with you, there should also be our lovely second best friend which is the combat droid. With that said, this flashpoint needs to be like the others in the past.

  15. I just created a female Assassin on Satele Shan with the name: Revánée Sháán. Let me know if you want the name on that server and I'll delete the character.

Same with Revánika Shán on Star Forge.

Names containing Revan or Shan led to an "Invalid Name" error.

If I'm not mistaken, á and a are pronounced identically.

That won't be needed thanks, hopefully there is inspiration out there I can use.

  16. Including "Shan" in the character's name may fall foul of the naming rules (it's skating a little close to the "using the name of an existing NPC" thing - in this case, two SWTOR NPCs and one KOTOR NPC).

And in any event, it's a name. There's no link between who people are / what family they are members of, on one hand, and what their personal name is on the other, especially if the line of descent passed through a female (in most Earthly societies), or some other instance where a descendant adopted a different family name.

Example: Chankara Heltick(1) is descended via Ankara Shan who took the family name of her husband Eritro Heltick somewhere along the 300 year route between KOTOR and SWTOR.

    (1) If you're on The Leviathan, you can't have this name because one of my characters is using it. On other servers, it's open season.

I completely understand that adding the name 'Shan' is unacceptable by the game's rules, luckily I'm on the Satele Shan server. But thanks for giving me that insight.

  17. This is a big ask. But does anyone have any ideas for really *REALLY* good names for a female light sided sith assassin who is supposedly Revan's Heir? I'm fresh out sadly, as all the good names I can think of are already taken.
  18. There is something unhealthy about relationships where one person tries to please the other all the time. Perhaps it's better to just accept this as a disagreement and move on?

Bah, I've just watched a youtube video of it to see if anyone made different choices and it still ends with Theron blasting at Lana and the Agent.
