  1. I've just thought about this today. Don't you ever wonder if we could get the chance to relive all eight class stories, without deleting our characters and starting over? Also, thinking this just last night. Maybe an option to relive the cutscenes of the choices we made through out all eight class stories? Maybe like our little personal theatre added to the Fleet perhaps? It would be something to do while we wait for new content to come our way, if we're bored. :);)
  2. I've been let down as well. I was hyped up about it, I was giddy. My Sniper is a double agent for the Republic. And since Malgus is such a smart guy, he would had figured it out by now and telling the Empire that they've been deceived by one of their own or something (which of course, he's talking about my Sniper). But actually doesn't reveal it in front of them.

Maybe only saying it when they're both alone. So yeah, I would had thought he was going to tell the truth about my Sniper's alliance with the Republic. But no, he doesn't say anything about it. However, I still get the feeling he knows it, but just won't say it. A real major let down.

  3. Hello everyone. I've run out of ideas for really awesome color dyes for my miraluka jedi sentinel. Every idea I can think of hasn't been that good. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Please let me know, thanks.
  4. No, you would still be part of the Empire faction. The choice is for roleplaying (you can come up with your own backstory why the character is Light Side) and for flavor (seeing Light Side powers instead of Dark Side).

Right, got ya. Thanks for the information.

  5. Okay, changing the subject from my problem with the Spirit of Vengeance flashpoint with this new thread. This time asking about the combat styles.

In hopeful response to my statement in another's thread, I was asking about how the combat styles work. I used my LS Sith Assassin as an example to the question. In that little quest about getting a second combat style, it gave me the option to switch to Jedi Shadow. Of course, I declined, deciding to stick with assassin as my primary and sentinel as my secondary. As I was a bit uncertain if not confused as Jedi is more aligned with the Republic Faction. Would it mean that I actually switch factions if I accepted the choice? Because it would seem fairly strange to have a Jedi Shadow working for the Empire Faction. I'm just trying to understand how that works.

  6. It's still hard in Story Mode. Take your time in the room after the kitchen. Kill the front mob, heal, kill the back mob to exit. DO not fight or draw in the mobs on either side. If they join the fight you're dead. The back mob is tough in any case. Sometimes I die to them, other times I defeat them on first try. However, it's the round the corner hallway right after that's worse. It's a bunch of silvers, healers in the back, and yellow lettered NPCs that will join the fight if you're not careful. Only once was I able to defeat them on first try. Here is where area of effect attacks don't work. Focus fire.

Then there's the Sniper room with the roamers. Expect to die at least once. It just happens. If you go into the room you're dead. Doesn't matter if you reach a kolto tank. Expect to die but go into the room to kill the healers. They won't respawn, so you can kill the rest upon res.

In the monster pit maybe it was a fluke, but last time I played I managed to reach the kolto tank and then into the elevator room. By doing so it counted as an escape. The Companion appeared, and the tentacles no longer registered as an enemy to fight.

The many mobs room right after that you need to be careful. Take one group at a time. Stun a silver, kill the healers, kill the non-stunned, then finish off the stun. Repeat for each group. Do not fight more than one group at a time. You will die.

That's exactly the point I'm making! We've never had this trouble with the older flashpoints because of the combat droid. But this? This is hell! Why did they stop putting in the combat droid in these current ones and made it even harder? First off, we want the combat droid back (myself especially). And second, a flashpoint this hard must be made for groups of people, not solo content! It's more than madness, it's unacceptable! Period!

  7. You're not supposed to change factions, only combat styles. Now there is a bug that this happens with though. You're literally left in limbo as to what you can and cannot do. However, I have a light side Assassin I want to change to a Shadow as my secondary style. I will do so. I have a Merc primary with commando seconday (A Mando Commando!). Yet, I'm still in the Empire.

Ahh, okay. Just using my LS Assassin as a test. I was presented with the option to become a Jedi Shadow, and I was bit uncertain if not confused. Since Jedi is over on the republic faction side, and it would been a bit strange to have a Jedi working for the Empire or something. So I chose to stick it out with Assassin still as my primary and Sentinel as my secondary.

  8. If all your gear is minimum 278 you won't be at best half-dead after every fight.

I sometimes forget, but I've learned that if the mob is all or most silvers area effect attacks don't help. Focus fire on one till dead then go on to the next. It helps if you can stun one then attack the others first. If there are healers they like to stay in the back, so you need to kill at least one silver before there's an opening to target one of them.

Buy the stim to increase presence. Even after 7.0 it helps. Because of the Companion nerf in 7.0 only the Companion on Heal will do anything. Tank used to work, but now it doesn't. It's 7.0's fault, not Spirit of Vengeance. Even if you have him on Tank or Damage, always have him on Heal during Boss fights.

Do not use area effect attacks when yellow lettered NPCs are next to enemies. They get damaged and turn red to attack you in revenge. You can be overwhelmed.

First Boss fight. He starts the fight with his You Die power. The moment combat starts, the first thing you should do is move. Get out of the red circle of death. Always move out of it when it appears again, even if you have to interrupt and end your own attack. Better to have it take that much longer to kill the Boss than die.

Second Boss fight. Kill the healers first. Then the silver helpers. Then the Boss. Stunning a silver before killing the healers helps. The Boss will be attacking you while you kill the healers and helpers, but ignore him. He does none to insignificant damage (Story Mode at least) as long as you have at least 278 gear. Your Companion on heal will heal any damage you take.

Okay, well maybe it's not the flashpoint itself I may admit, since I was able to get past the first boss with no trouble. Maybe I need better gear or something, I don't know! Or maybe the devs need to stop this bs and fix the companion nerf and make all this balanced! Forgive me for saying this, but I'm royalty pissed as I still have trouble with this damn flashpoint!

  9. Okay. If I'm understanding this correctly, or actually correct me if I'm wrong. Say for example that I have a LS Sith Assassin on my account, and I'm given the choice to switch to Jedi Shadow as my primary. If I did that, would I be switching factions (from Sith Empire to Galactic Republic)? Or am I missing something? I'm just trying to understand this new aspect to the game.
  10. The flashpoint is still madness! I say it should nerfed more and more until it's made as easy peasy beatable! No elites, no strongs, just weak easy-to-kill enemies! I don't care if people don't see this as an challenge, because I have HAD IT!!! I am NOT going to do a flashpoint that's still this absurd and maddening! If not complied, then that's it for me! Flashpoints this hard should be made into grouped ones, because this ain't solo content like it says it is! To be more clear, where is the combat droid as was promised? We deserve one for the newer flashpoint content, not just for the old ones that came in the past! Deliver or players like me are going to start ditching this game forever!

  11. This is a callback to my eariler post regarding these two missions, but I ask this personally. Would I ever get unique dialogue later on, most notably with Acina regarding the Dread Seed Story? We see her again in the KOTET storyline, but I can't remember if we get unique dialogue with her concerning the Dread Seeds and etc. Maybe because I didn't also run the stuff regarding the Dread Masters, and the same goes with the Shroud storyline if I missed any mention of those events.
  12. I'm in a bit of a back and forth at the moment. Somehow, my mind's telling me that I should just skip The Shroud and Dread Seed Missions all together. As I'm being told by various players that no one wants nothing to do with those missions anymore (or something like that). I get they're a huge pain, I've been through them on some of my toons. But at the same time, I don't remember if I get unique dialogue with Acina later on in KOTET regarding the Dread Seed Missions, or didn't see that kind of unique dialogue.
  13. I've been thinking about this since doing Secrets of the Enclave on both my main Jedi Guardian and my alt Bounty Hunter Mercenary. What's next for the future? All these stories just leave me on the edge of my seat and wanting more. Maybe a nice fitting conclusion to tie up all the loose ends, but still gets me thinking "What's going to happen now?".
  14. You know what kind of absurd I've just run into? The eternal championship. I was barely able to get up to Round 7 on my main (Jedi Guardian Vigilance). But I can't get past Drake and Nocturnal. Almost had it, but died. There has to be a way to make things easier and allow me to beat it entirely.
  15. You should get the consumable that speeds up the process, and the consumable that narrows the search bar, and run them at the same time. There are two versions of each type of consumable. You can craft the better ones with Cybertech, or just buy them on the GTN. They are definitely worth buying (and they're not that expensive on the GTN)

    Okay, thanks for the advice.

  16. When you first pick up the seeker droid you got some spam from GSI, the attached consumables make using the seeker droid a lot easier. (more can be bought in any GSI shop.)

Go to the area and use the seeker droid, if it returns a red circle, move a bit away, when it returns a green circle, look at the filled segment it points to the direction where the dread seed lies (based from your last dig-site, so best stand right above the hole). One of the consumables makes that pointer more precise, the other speeds up the digging process. If you think the seeker droid is bad, try getting HK 51.

And keep in mind: the seeker droid quest ends with group content where 4 people need to push buttons simultaneously. Finding 3 other players on the quest or willing to help is a lot more frustrating than the digging.

Great, thanks. But how does HK 51 help by the way?

  17. I'm at the end of my rope here, seriously! The Micro a.k.a The Shroud missions are simply enough. But the seeker droid missions, they're impossible! And being a random spawn doesn't help my case either! There's got to be a simpler easier way of doing them, because I've had it! I don't know about you guys, but I am skipping past these missions from now on unless I get concrete information.

I don't know who decided that the Dread Seed Quest Items on specific planets were going to be random spawns, but it's absurd!
