Should I be running high crit? Or low crit and high power? I am currently running 22% crit for those 15k Energy blasts on sorcs... But my overall dps isn't that great I feel. its usually around 1500 in a ranked match (I topped out at 2k dps but that is very rare). I saw one pt get 2600 dps in a ranked match -_- Thats single target remember. I've only seen sins get that when they fight 4 people haha. So do you think you do higher dps with high crit or high power? Please list percentages

This is ABSURD. 1.They clearly decided to go with a "light" punishment - that is not debatable. 2. Now you must ask- why? 3. Are they seriously concerned about the BACKLASH from these few toxic players? It's a bit sad realizing they think this is appropriate. Part of the punishment is resetting ranked scores for win/loss traders....so for people with like 300 rating. Isn't that almost a reward? Are you kidding me? (It's embarrassing knowing that they are being bullied by trolls. There is no other explanation for why the punishment is so light - don't get me started on financial reasons. They are losing WAY more subscribers by keeping these trolls thriving vs risking losing some trolls) Take this opportunity to actually do something. Consider listening to what the community thinks is best for the game.

Hi all. I wanted to get better at playing Operative. Does anyone have any good tips? preferably more advanced tips but I would love basic ones as well. I dont have any advanced ones but I'll give an idea of what format I'm looking for. 1.Save roll for high burst moments, like a PT shoulder cannon or sorc's thundering blast. 2 .Run circles around pillars/kite in 1v1 situations or abuse our excessive CC for our Heal over time to really shine 3. Learn different jump (roll) spots in huttball. You would be surprised what you can pull off. Can anyone add to this list? thanks

Although to expand on the cc breaker baiting, yes I would agree that it isnt the best for an 8 second mezz, but personally I would almost always try to bait after a low slash. So you low slash > wait 1 to 2 seconds for break > cast crushing darkeness > spam maul while casting. The crd hits them at the SAME time as maul, giving potentially around 15k instantly then another 5 k. I know crd was nerfed in 3.0 but yeah... might still be worth it in a 1v1 situation. Also just some tips for maximizing burst and counter dcds, Wait to use your burst until after 1. An operative rolls 2. A sin uses force shroud 3. A jugg uses Enraged defense / reflect Obviously its situational on when to use burst but I think for a beginner that doesnt have knowledge of AC's this could be helpful

I wanted to make a thread that covered the BASICS of playing sin. For example, what to save your cool downs for, or perhaps some tricks people may have learned. (I tried to make a "pro" tip thread but many people took GREAT offense to it). Never the less, if you would like to include some more advanced tips that would be great. I play on the Bastion. Like, the only REAL pvp server. I sort of wish that I played on a PvE server/ RP just so I could dominate more lol. Its so easy to carry when noobs q, unfortunately on the bastion we have to put up with q syncers and the fact that everyone is fully geared. Toon is named sinnless currently number 12. :rolleyes:

Are you mentally handicapped bro? I started off by saying the death field tip was a basic one I wanted to include cuz of how important it is. I thought the concept of having your dot target being on the FRINGE of deathfield was a good tip to really maximize its reach (remember the attack extends a bit beyond the green circle) Noobs like you just double tap death field. Im trying to help you man I'm a top 10 sin in the world (had to throw it in there). It sounds like you have a learning disability - I guarantee you didn't know that you could shroud out of combat while using aoe taunt to prevent enemy from healing up while you do (basic tip huh?) You probably didnt know you could stack crushing darkness and demolish (I bet the vast majority do not know this - still basic right?). So... shut up and offer some tips of your own! Run far away from this thread, it is literally full of noobs that that took time out of the day to criticize a post for not being leet enough while at the same time offering ZERO tips. Just so you know, I do not claim to be PRO. That is the entire reason made this thread... so I could actually LEARN from the experts out there. But for what its worth, my stats (Top ten solo ranked) indicate im better than 99 percent of sins. But then again 99% of this thread is just ppl saying im bad and then me saying im good. I decided to include some tips I knew that I thought the AVERAGE sin would not know. Goddam people I just wanted to learn some new tips from you guys, but there are ZERO tips aside from the ones I offered. This forum is toxic I wanted to start a thread based around "pro" tips that can really be game changers - tips that the average sin probably doesn't know. Im not looking for a guide, I'm looking for a quick bullet point list of tips. I'll start with my list. I would love if some "Expert" sins could bestow their wisdom upon us. Even if its not a pro tip - if you think itll be useful to somebody write it down. Edit: If you wanted to watch a video (not mine), here is a short one that is FULL of useful "pro tips" Like aoe taunt plus vanish so that your opponent is still in combat, but YOU can heal to full Smart. Link: Heres my list: 1. You can actually stack Demolish and Crushing Darkness on the same target if you stagger the procs. Situational but could come in handy for that extra burst 2. I include this tip because I see so many sins re engage at low health. You have the ability to heal to full via force cloak (Can be a game changer in ranked, thats why I include this tip). you can either cloak and then hide and heal, or some 'leet' people use cloak then sap and then heal right in front of their face 3. Stealing nodes is simple - sap the guard, start planting objective. If they break sap, use whirlwind and thats GG 4. PT's can counter the above with shoulder cannon. One counter would be: plant phasewalk on objective> engage pt and lure him off node (out of SC range). Force Cloak out of combat and then SAP him. Use phasewalk back to objective and plant while looking like a bad azz 5. USE DOT SPREAD #5 might seem like the most basic tip but it really is the most important. Basically what it comes down to is AIMING your death field effectively. You should almost never use double tap button for instant death field. Load up one person with dots > dont use death field directly on that target, use deathfield so the target is on the FRINGE of the blast, this will maximize the Death Field reach and really spread those dots.

So while these are highly situational - I have found these to be actual game changers: 1. If somebody is planting an objective, and you are near death - throw a Thermal detonator / explosive dart on them. It will explode a few seconds after you die and help give your team extra time. 2. In the middle section of Voidstar, the bridge forms a sort of an ' T ' - if you want to look awesome, use Hydrolic overides, jump the very small gap of that ' T ' , and pull and enemy while you are over that gap. They will fall to their death. 3. In ranked if you are the target - its often better to just stay back behind your team and let THEM engage for a few seconds. It throws off who the other team should target.

It wouldnt be a waste of time - I really liked the format the other two people used. Pretty much just a concise list of some random/specific tips that are outside the obvious (or perhaps obvious tips as well if you deem it very helpful) Im looking for tips that separate the great from the average. If you refuse to give general tips, I can give you a specific question: Regarding survivability in ranked - what is your course of action to live and be effective as AP? Assume both teams have hatred sin, ap pt, veng jugg, and sorc healer and at least 2 of the dps focusing you
