Hello.
SWTOR is truly a magnificent game. I know I don't browse the net as much as most people probably do, but I dare say it's the closest game we have to really living the fantasy of Star Wars and all its glory. I play it before going to work, after coming back from work, and gosh I even often play it until 4 or 5 AM in the morning. Having said that, I would like to share a few concept ideas that the developers and finance department may come together and agree on.
First, the priority.
Let's add battery level for laptop users. I think this is self explanatory as to why. Personally, I kept surprising myself for having the large wall display at home switched themselves to windows notification to plug in the power cable.
Second, the in-game music player.
Music in SWTOR is really something. They're great! and the timing they appear and disappear are well scripted. But there were also plenty of time when there were no music or ambiance. Playing WinAmp at the background is not an option as it overlaps the nice in-game songs and ambiance. Would be great if you can include the ingame music player, and have it automatically fade out during scripted in-game music.
Third, Group/Op Spectator Mode.
For many reasons, and I will let this one to your individual's wild imaginations. Would tremendously be exciting for many if we have the ability to join other people's Groups or Ops even when they're already filled, but as spectators, holo-camera-only, slightly 10-20 meters above ground level with ability to zoom-in to first-person view, imagine the possibilities for tournament commenting and live streaming or group learning tutorial-made-easy strategize guild-vs-guild tournament etc, while the body remains outside group/op area mission. Please give this serious discussion, as I believe this would boost game playability long-term.
Of course, there are budgeting aspects to gaming as well. Every discussion, feasibility, planning, time spent on fixing and patching require justifications, and realistically comes down to money. Hence, my Fourth Idea would be to deliver the above ideas plus other features in a whole new Platinum Subscription.
Some of us wouldn't mind paying more for really rich-added features, while maintaining existing and future non-subscribers as well. Non-subscribers don't get disadvantaged, and economically speaking this new subscription is pretty sexy, if I must say.
Cheers!
