absolutely false. traditionally a majority of pvp in MMORPGs has always been faction based in open world settings, thus it has always been "TDM" like since the advent of online gaming. that never really changed until WoW shook things up and incentivised MMO developers to cater to noncompetitive players. while SWTOR may be a WoW clone, that doesn't mean mixing pve elements into pvp zones will ever be a good thing for pvp, because it's not. fyi, WoW was not the advent of online gaming, most MMOs had great and competitive PvP before then as that was always the end game. regardless, i'm not in the least interested in strawman arguments about how pvp in MMOs has been garbage for nearly 20 years. it's neither here nor there, my point was that pvpers will pvp in the pvp zones, so quit crying and get over it. if you don't like it, go pve, problem solved.

it's not "counter productive" in any way, shape, or form. the purpose of any mode in game is the enjoyment of the player. so long as you're enjoying it, it is productive. i enjoy pvping in ranked and in regs. therefore it is productive and is exactly as it is intended. again with an illogical point and out right fiction. just because someone also enjoys playing 8v8's too doesn't mean they don't do ranked. i have personally done ranked every single season since season 6, when i started to actually play actively. i'll say it again: if all you're looking for is objectives, then go do pve content it's exactly what you're looking for; if that's all you want then NONE of the pvp zones are for you. pvp zones (all of them) are for people who enjoy pvping. also, if we're going to continue to argue about this, i want you guys to at least come up with a single logical argument so i at least don't feel like im losing too many brain cells.

not a bad idea actually. it's already perfectly in line with their current efforts to dumb down the game by removing half the abilities too. now they can just give everyone a single ability, an icon with a pillow.

if that's true then it "needs" something that it will never get then. movement enhancing abilities aren't going any where. in fact, like a previous poster already stated, they are almost certainly going to continue to add more.

i hate to break it to you but your ratio is only accurate on the forums. people come here in droves to complain about the game, not to give it props if they like it. your observation of a majority of people on the forums (specifically) complaining about the game is in no way, shape, or form indicative of people complaining about it being the overall majority. so... speaking of being completely wrong.

yeah, i know. i saw you on the other night in a full premade. but how is regs not a good place to learn your class and to pvp? if the individual you are referencing from that screen shot wasn't ready for ranked they should continue to do regs to hammer it out. i don't see how any of that warrants any of the changes you proposed.

they are both pvp zones, thus they are subject to pvpers playing them. get over it.

i am a pvper. i am exactly where i belong; in any and all pvp content. if you dont like it; if you prefer objectives then go do ops or fps instead, that is content specifically made for people like you.

your opinion does not change the definition/meaning of words. anything regarding PvP is inherently competitive by definition. regardless of whether you're playing online checkers versus someone over the net or playing in a match in SWTOR against other people. you are competing against those other people, meaning it is competitive. if you wanted to make an actually logical point you could have argued the degree of competitiveness as opposed to other games. but as it stands, your post is objectively wrong.

just get to 75 then pvp. you dont have to do lowbie pvp in order to play the game. in fact, lowbie pvp always has been garbage.
