  1. I've been playing this game since Season 3 of ranked, which honestly makes me feel very old, but needless to say I've seen this game at it's best and it's worst, especially when regarding ranked. It's pretty disappointing seeing this game's ranked system become even worse every time I rejoin the game, but since I've heard that the ranked system is getting revamped in 7.0, I for some reason have a naïve sense of hope of what's to come. Anyway, based on my current and past experience with ranked, this is what I believe should be a priority in order to fix the rating system. 1. Fix how the rating system works. If you go even with W/L in ranked (it's been like this for as long as I can remember), you will lose more rating than you gain. Once you're elo averages out around 30-40 games played, you begin gaining about 10-13 elo a match, and losing 13-15 elo a match, sometimes losing even more. This is just ridiculous, because if the games are intended to be balanced by the poor system that's in place, then you should at least be netting 0 elo and not losing elo for being, for example, even 30 wins and 30 losses. This is just really poor design overall. To make this easier to understand, before placements (first 10 games) you automatically start at 1200 elo. If your placements end up being 5-5 (5 wins 5 losses), instead of being at 1200 like you should, you will end up somewhere between 1150-1180, which is just stupid. 2. Fix class stacking. It's easier to get elo on a sorcerer and merc than it is to get elo on a pt or jug partially because of how many sorcs and mercs are in queue. For some reason the game just loves stacking classes on the same team. Elo should not be the only thing taken into consideration when balancing a team. Because the ranked system only considers elo, teams end up being stacked with OP comps. 2 or more of any class is just overpowered. I've been on teams where I don't have a single sorc or merc, and the other team will have 2-3 sorcs or mercs. Going against 2-3 sorcs is almost always an auto loss, 3 bubbles and 3 phasewalks can buy the enemy team so much time it's not even worth playing on the other team. 2 pts is also broken because the amount of damage feels like there's actually 6 people on the team instead of 4. The game needs to balance via classes as well, not just elo. There's plenty of exploits where, for example, a good player on a low elo sorcerer will queue with a higher one in order to get on the same team, and it's just broken. Sometimes I've seen 3 mercs stacked on the same team. The elo might be balanced but one team having three nets is just completely broken and i'm surprised that bioware has been blind to this issue for so long. I'm honestly convinced that the team balancing system has not been changed since level 50 days, because class stacking wasn't much of an issue back then. ROTHC was the expansion where most classes got their OP abilities, and I feel like this balancing issue has not been addressed ever since. This is a priority and needs to be addressed in 7.0. 3. Make restrictions higher on who can enter ranked. I understand the ranked community is small, but allowing people with little to no pvp experience ruins the game for everyone, and makes the actual community smaller and more toxic. The easiest way to do this is by increasing the valor requirement necessary in order to queue for ranked pvp. This isn't a very good fix, but it would help a little bit if the valor requirement was 50 instead of 25. A better solution would be to add an unranked arenas gamemode with "fake elo". Once someone passes bronze (1225 or 1250) in the unranked arenas, they are qualified to queue for ranked. The reason this works is because it allows new pvpers to practice in a way that doesn't ruin the game for people actually trying to grind gold for ranked rewards. If someone falls below 1000 elo in ranked, their unranked arena elo should be reset and they should be forced to redo this qualification process. This would prevent people from throwing ranked as well. Bioware could also incentivize people to play in unranked arenas by giving them higher valor experience per rating tier they're in. For example, winning a match as bronze in unranked arenas increases your valor experience gain by 10%, silver 20-30%, gold 50-100%. It's a small incentive, but it's a nice one. Needless to say, there are plenty of people in solo ranked that can't even get bronze because they don't know how gearing works, and they don't know how to play the game or use their cooldowns. This is pretty much impossible to carry. This creates an instant loss situation because it's a 50-50 chance whether you're on the team who has to 3v4 the other team. Nobody likes ranked gamemodes based off of RNG, Bioware. Bioware needs to realize that carrying a 3v4 is almost impossible in 6.0 because of the amount of new abilities in this game, as well as the damage inflation currently present in the game. It's a lot easier to get globalled in 6.0 than it was back in 2.0 and 3.0. This is no longer 3.0, people aren't as easy to carry now as they were before. This needs to be a priority for bioware to fix in 7.0. Back in the day we had the expertise system to prevent new pvpers from entering ranked. This helped because pvp gear was somewhat of a grind, and gave a bare minimum amount of experience for people before they entered ranked. Now all people have to do is farm TC in order to queue ranked, which is not viable experience, and just makes the pool of ranked players even worse. 4. Regarding double combat disciplines. I have no idea how the elo system is going to work around this, but I can think of a few solutions. One possibility is that you get two separate elos per discipline, but I imagine this will create plenty of bugs and exploits between swapping disciplines. Another solution would be to bring back universal top 3 titles, like "famously furious", which don't have advanced classes, and create a Top 24 list so that each character with two combat disciplines can share elo between the two disciplines. This creates an issue, however, because I wouldn't be surprised if most people in the Top 24 were Mercs and Sorcerers. The best solution is definitely having two separate elos for two separate combat disciplines, however, bioware would need to make sure that there's no bugs associated with swapping between them. Anyway, that's a short version of my take for fixing ranked in this game. There's plenty of classes that need buffs/debuffs, but that's another post for another time. These are just simple ways to fix the game, which aren't even hard to do. I doubt bioware will ever consider any of this but It's whatever. I'm curious to see what you guys think.
  2. If only you saw how much more there actually is that is unfinished Maybe i'll show you some time; or perhaps i'll update this thread later with more screenshots. (Assuming I don't get banned from forums or anything for showing this)
  3. Literally all they had to do was copy/paste the already present hallway and extend it into the sealed buildings and make rooms. Not only that, they could've effortlessly made that archway shown in image 1, giving a huge expansion to what we have now. People may argue that sure, the stronghold is big enough. Sure its big--however its not big enough for the price i paid for it. 70-80% of the stronghold is outside too. i'd rather be limited to inside rooms rather than one giant outside one; one that, for a majority, is useless apart from the outside fountains. How hard is it to add like two or three rooms? Who would decline an extra three rooms? You can't get 100% in this stronghold without filling every single BS hook there is, causing it to look trashy. An extra 2-3 rooms would fix this issue and people would be happy. If people want a small stronghold then they can choose not to unlock it or they can cry themselves all the way back to Coruscant or Dromund Kaas I want what I paid for--something I barely get in this game.
  4. Not only could there have been more rooms, its the fact that they purposefully didn't include them when they were already there that really upsets me. Literally all they had to do was make the path in the first image connect with the entrance. Boom, a stronghold that is almost 1/3 bigger.
  5. Bioware, upon buying my Manaan stronghold I was so disappointed. Not only at the fact that you gave us very little rooms, but the fact that you made so many parts of the stronghold map that could've easily been part of the stronghold that we can't even get to without finding glitches. You could've easily made at least 2 more rooms. As I explore this stronghold I have discovered how lazy its become. I'm sorry but I was really crushed when i saw this. For example, image 1 could've been so easy to turn into parts of the actual map. All you had to do was extend this missing path and that literally increases the size of the stronghold by 1/3rd of its current size. You promised us a stronghold, not half a stronghold. Even the Coruscant stronghold (a freaking apartment) has more rooms than this junk. Picture thread one: You can tell they got lazy when they had two years to do this. Sorry for being honest Bioware (if you're even reading this). http://imgur.com/a/G2u3n http://imgur.com/a/p9J1e http://imgur.com/a/uIot4 As you can see by these images, we could've had access to a whole bunch of the submarine portion of the stronghold, but as you can see from the first picture in this list, Bioware decided not to connect the path. WHY? Did Bioware think it was useless? As you can see, I'm literally walking on it. It's flat land that can easily have hooks added to it and included in the stronghold, SO WHY ISN'T IT? I have been waiting so freaking long for this stronghold, and get slapped in the face and robbed instead. Many people feel this way. There are dozens of posts on this forum since the day the Manaan stronghold came out, describing how disappointing the stronghold is, mainly because its lack of content. This is literally such an easy fix. Bioware, just connect these paths and add hooks. It's that freaking simple. No hooks will be destroyed in the process, and customers will be satisfied. All you have to do is spend 30mins to an hour of your precious time just making this pathway legitimate. It will not only help the hook problem, but it also gives us more views and more places to enjoy and place our hooks. Why not do it? This needs to happen. I can guarantee you that many people will be happier with this stronghold if this was an accessible part of it. Also, why are there hooks up here?? You literally can't even place on these unless you glitch up here. Useless stronghold. http://imgur.com/a/bmOOP Once again, no offense, but this had to be said Bioware. Please give us what we want for once. -PS: If you patch this glitch I will be ticked off because its the only thing that makes the stronghold worth using.
  6. So since all these changes are coming can I expect 16man to be adjusted cause in a 16man currently I have like 2 fps thats a slideshow not gaming so can This be fixed to run it smooth like 8man.

  8. Nah I was implying around 60%, and I didn't mean only PvP. Many people play both PvE and PvP
  9. As we all know, many people main a healer and genuinely, a good healer will decide the outcome of most reg matches, and dramatically almost all ranked matches, but hold on... Why am I even posting this? I mean.. Bioware doesn't care about PvP in this game, which is why this game is slowly dying. Yeah, the PvE is good but more than half the population of the game PvPs, and a lot of them get into it so much that they do ranked. Well about that.. Ranked is dead. It's been dead since season 4 and season 5, mainly because the imbalance and SPECIFICALLY because the rewards SUCK. Rewards haven't been good since season 3, i mean how hard is it to make another cool looking season 1 or season 3 armor, I mean geez, Bioware is the master at re-skinning things. But meanwhile those of us who do ranked and PvP every time we're online I have one thing to state. Healers ruin the PvP in this game, mainly because it makes the game easy as ****. I just want to have everyone imagine this: Imagine the game if healers weren't allowed in PvP. The game would be more challenging and objective based instead of DPS racing in regs, and not entirely imbalanced in ranked. There's countless times I've lost in ranked because my healer is garbage compared to the healer on the other team, I mean its like Hieroglyphixx vs Kytera.. Hiero obviously wins, he's more experienced, and not to mention the fact that the team system in this game is just RNG, I mean I see better healers get all the good players. The main reason sorcerers are gold rated in this game are primarily because of sorc healers: the stupidest thing that happened to this game. All you have to do to get gold rated on a sorc is learn heals and farm the sh*tty healer on the other team, its literally not hard at all. You can ask any sorc healer that's top rated and they will clearly tell you how easy it is. You may ask, "Hey instead of complaining about it, why don't you play heals?" Well I hate playing heals, It's not my play style at all. I've been plaything this game since late 1.0 and honestly I felt the 2.0s were the best because it felt somewhat balanced. Personally, I feel that if healers weren't allowed in any PvP instance, it would actually be fun again. The healers in this game are aids. I can't carry a terrible healer in ranked because they're the MOST important person on the team and it ruins ranked! At least give an option to ignore the bad players. Regs would be worth playing over ranked too because you don't have to worry about who's going to have the better healer pre-made, and you can actually do objectives instead of spamming abilities at 2 healers at a single node. Its f*****g ridiculous. Currently I play on The Harbinger, and ranked has died because of one person, and I can't mention it's name. This person is so bad that people have decided to stop queuing ranked because it takes all their rating away (and I mean 100s, i speak from experience) and it makes the game pretty crappy. In reality, hardly anyone cares about end game PvE except for the story fans, and sure, the story is decent. But we as humans love competitive nature, and resort to PvP when we're bored. If Bioware doesn't care about what it's customers want, then why play this game at all? this game is a memorable game and I still love it, but i just cringe at how boring it is now since there's hardly any new PvP content. I mean really, 2 maps bioware? 2 maps that people flipping hate. I know countless amounts of people who literally get in an odessen warzone and leave right away because it's garbage. Don't even get me started on the Rishi Cove Arena.. The horror. Not to mention the stuck bug that ruined everyone's lives (no pun intended) when it first came out, but the rishi cove arena is horrible. Yes I like the ideas Bioware (i doubt they're even reading this), but why does it take 2 years to release 2 maps that 90% of players don't even like? Honestly if i got paid to do it, I would design a 4v4 arena for every map in the game, it's what the customers want. I mean think about it, underwater dome Manaan Arena (wow). Or maybe a Hutta arena? Like come on. Designing an arena should be fun, not something you want to avoid. I realize that development takes time and testing but seriously, avoiding something long overdue doesn't fix anything at all and makes things worse. The PvP in this game is unique and I haven't found a game anything like it, it has so much potential. It needs to be fixed. No one gives a full flying **** only about PvE! I mean think about it, playing the same ops over and over again for fun when you're already geared? Yeah no thanks, not many people want to do that. That's like watching the same bad movie over and over again because you have nothing else to do; but wait there's more! There's PvP..! The side of SWTOR that Bioware is overlooking. FIX IT, and holy crap why did you get rid of open world PvP? That made so many people quit. Yeah kids get ganked, who cares? It clearly stated before to have caution when joining a PvP server. I like how Bioware listens to the PvErs rather than the PvPers (I'm pretty sure they wouldn't know this but that was complete sarcasm). The thing I find the most fun on this game is sitting in the combat section on the fleet talking to randoms in chat, or decorating my stronghold/flagship in peace. This game could've been better, and now the consequence will be a dead population unless things change.
  10. Nah, i duel almost every day on my sin that i main, i let people get opener and I can win quite a bit. Sap heals are preventable, sapheals don't work on me. i previously stated that some arenas might not have medpacs. and the timer on the stealth game. Stealth vs Stealth wouldn't be boring if you main one. I also stated than in Stealth Vs Stealth and any other class regen ability is prohibited in 1v1 ranked
  11. You do have a point about that stealther thing, but i have to say, you don't know one thing about stealther duels. I would duel sins and ops giving them the opener and still win, stealth vs stealth doesn't rely on opener, and there is strats to getting the opener in every duel. But that's why there's 1v1 arenas for stealths. To make it easy to find each other. And No. Jugs would not dominate the melee bracket since they duel PTs, not to mention they'll duel other jugs because jug is a really popular class, please think before posting. You obviously didnt read all of it. and I also said NO TANKS, or NO HEALERS. READ.
