Yeah I have a Dwarf Warrior tank in WoW, and that game feels so different to this especially with the less aggro mechanics in SWTOR

I was thinking later on to respect and try vigilance for PvP, it seemed like a balanced spec

Yeah I have been using the Healing Droid and Kira, but mostly the droid as it sends a shiver down my spine every time she 'steals' my kill X)

Are Jedi Guardians accepted as DPS, I've seen some dislike for them when I was browsing the forums: "there is nothing worse then getting a Athiss group up only to find out the Guardian is DPS spec.. waste of a slot"

I will be doing more PvE as I am doing planetary quests, but I don't know if survivability or damage is more important?

I have no idea whether going up the vigilance tree or defence tree would be more beneficial for solo questing, I don't know how hard vigilance is to play or whether defence is easy to play but slow with damage or something. Any help would be appreciated.
