  1. Hi all Looks like the person who converted & compiled the music from the game last time, now has converted a BOATLOAD more music from the game, with about 1,000 tracks! Swing over to his page & let the enjoyment begin!
  2. exactly, I imagine it's similar to posting a link to the same thing on youtube, but I felt that various folks in our community would appreciate it, since the game has such great original music (aside from the original music) Going back to my original text at the top of this post, I sort of felt like this was the proverbial "mother load" of music that we've been waiting to find.
  3. well I meant the big combination of music in 1 source šŸ˜‰
  4. (hopefully this hasn't been posted yet) Hi all. This is something I caught on a Facebook discussion group that talks about our game. This is huge. Somebody managed to compile a proverbial FREIGHT train of music from TOR. Check this out, this is like Howard Carter discovering King Tut's tomb, for the most part - it's all there! TWO large directories worth!! The Complete Soundtrack of Star Wars: The Old Republic Extra Tracks from Star Wars: The Old Republic a total of 672 tracks from the game are there. MY mind is certainly blown!!
  5. Hi all, This took a great deal of time & effort to pull off, but if you want to see the Ruhnuk chapter from my angle, grab your popcorn & take a look at how I did it. I'm a light-side consular shadow here "Showdown on Ruhnuk" thoughts?
  6. sound like that little fix with the text file worked then, and laptop is ok I imagine...?
  7. can you tell me what operating system that is? I've never seen that application before either. can you tell me more about it? my BIOS doesn't look like that...
  8. OH! NOW I understand, ok... it.s .8 - .9/15.9GB is there any way to increase this??
  9. ok, about 98-99% of my GPU is being used when running the game. Is that of any help?
  10. I can get to the BIOS, I saw it it today, I just didnt see any option to allocate ram to graphics. only thing I realistically see on this laptop is some sort of option to change how much performance an application uses.
  11. 128MB of RAM apparently. what value should I have used, 64?
  12. I think for whatever reason the "64" value worked for me. interesting hacking! Good link there, @Char_Ell
  13. I see what you're talking about, I'm just confused on which value I enter for "MinspecVramCutoffMB". Do I enter a value specifically relevant to my system? Not sure how to proceed here.
  14. think I ran into a wall... I just found this "In your case, the GPU you are using, Intel Iris Xe Graphics, has a fixed amount of 128MB of dedicated VRAM. This is the maximum amount of VRAM that the GPU can access, and it cannot be changed. How much dedicated memory does Intel 4400 HD and 5500 HD have? By Default Intel 4400 Graphics will have 128MB at 8GB RAM."
  15. still working on the solution. fingers crossed I'm able to do it this...
  16. oh wow! I'll give this a shot. Great link, thank you for that!

    laptop

Hi all, Laptop-wise, I'm sort of feeling discriminated against in the 7.3c update I believe (?). I used to be able to render the game like this, but now I'm locked into the lower settings, which looks..decent I suppose. I have an 11th Gen IntelĀ® Coreā„¢ i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz, I don't have an actual video card but have something called IntelĀ® IrisĀ® Xe Graphics, & 32 Gigs of RAM, all on windows 11. Now I realize I have to get a new laptop to hopefully run the game at it's full potential, or close to it. I want something with an nVidia card in it. What I'd like to know is what nVidia setup can I run the game at max or near max, with a solid smooth (and hopefully fast) experience? I'd appreciate the help!
  18. Ok, problem averted - it boiled down to graphics. even though I had to turn down my settings a little, it still looked pretty decent. I wish Bioware would fix issues like this though...
  19. Hi all, I just bought a new $1400 something computer and I tweaked the graphics to where its now buttery smooth like a console game. PROBLEM is, on the "Secrets of the Enclave" flashpoint, the game FREEZES at this exact part here and I have to hard close the game. I'm running windows 10 and I have a pretty good computer. What is wrong here? Looking for answers...
  20. Ya, I just discovered that. Thank you I think it's handy you can do that for your own character. I wasn't aware of that until now
  21. well I wasn't sure how to unlock it in the "collections" section, but I do now. It was a foreign concept to me, but now I know how to unlock a clothing set
  22. Hi all, I was able to find out successfully that I have the ā€œThermal Retentionā€ armor set in my collection & I can get a free copy of it for my characters anytime I want. Itā€™s a cartel item. I have other cartel items like the ā€œsanctified caretakerā€ armor and the ā€œhumble heroā€ armor sets but I canā€™t retrieve them because I get the the notice when I mouse over the box in the lower left hand portion of the preview window ā€œThis item is currently not in your Collection and cannot be reclaimed. Once this item is collected, you may transfer copies of it to your inventoryā€, and I just. Bought copies of both of those armor and put them in my storage box. The thermal attic armor is also in my storage box, but THAT one can be reclaimed. I also have the ā€œoutlander observerā€ armor, same principles apply - in my storage box, canā€™t be reclaimed strangely. Why is only the thermal armor able to be reclaimed and not the others? This is SO confusing!!! šŸ˜Ø
  23. Ya, it's very strange. No idea why it does that...
