  1. Additional levels have not really had a real impact in the past expansions, except maybe for giving us only one new ability per class. I would prefer a feature that rewards us when our characters gain experience points when max level is reached (such as gaining equioment, temporary boosts, crafting material each time a specific amount of experience is earned past max level). It's always frutstrating to see all these good experience points go to waste.
  2. A very good post with details how many players feel toward the lastest changes of the game. However, regarding the difficulty of combat, I'm in between two chairs. While I agree that combat should be more challenging and make us use most of our ressources to win (which would have the advantage of teaching us how to play our class), the incredible number of enemies we must fight past is what makes me feel that easy combat is not all that bad sometimes. I'm all for a more challenging experience but only if the number of enemies we must defeat in order to progress in our story is dramatically lowered. If we had hard combat for every minion we encounter, the game would not be fun anymore. A Star Wars experience should be fast-paced and hard combat everywhere would not meet this criteria. I agree, though, that champion, elite and even strong enemies should pose a greater threat than they do now.
  3. The alliance system is basically a good idea but it is not attrative enough reward-side to make it work in the long run. I sincerely hope that the new chapters will introduce new elements to the alliance system to make it more fun. I play the game since release and I must say that grinding the alliance for my 22 characters is not something I look forward to. If also they would give us something for the XP we waste when we reach max level...a random lockbox or something (with a chance for rare items) every XYZ experience gained it would be more enjoyable. I always hate wasted experience in MMOs.
  4. I guess lorewise, the armor has already been developped as we play Ziost and previous content. In fact many people know of Zakuul's armor. Our characters do not know yet but obviously people living on Zakuul know. I see no reason why a smuggler could not have gotten his hands on a set and sell it to one of my characters . Might have been tricky for sure, but why not.
  5. I disagree. 12xp doesn't remove the fact that you can group for content such as heroic missions and flashpoints. In fact, I'm doing this since the start od the 12xp mode with two friends and we're having a blast. We only do our class missions, heroic missions and flashpoints. It's really awesome.
  6. Yeah, all these imperial soldier armors and no imperial soldier class... bah !
  7. I doubt one will affect the other negatively (but one never knows). Personnally, I have no interest in Battlefront. Furthermore I doubt that PvPers are the only ones keeping SWTOR relatively healthy.
  8. In the trailer, we see the outlander, who seems to be a jedi knight, next to Darth Marr (where they could both represent the last hope of their mutual faction) What if when you play an imperial character you get to stand next to Satele instead? With so few information so far, we can only speculate.
  9. Personally, I am not worried about the expansion, I welcome the change, especially the part about companions (that we know of this far).
  10. Personally I don't care if we get to lose old companions. Being stuck with the same companions since release (not counting Treek or HK-51) was kinda silly since they have no impact outside their stories (even romacing has no point when it's done since there is no developpment after). I know I invested on them, developping influence and grearing them (pre-Revan story) but I'm ready to step into the future of the game with ease. Now at least I should be able to have companions who are more compatible with the way I play my various characters. I don't think two of my characters will have the same crew, even those with the same class. I'm still enthousiast at this point about the expansion. Maybe I'll be disappointed when it is released but I'm keeping an open mind and my invaluable optimism. Important events happen in the life of characters in RPG and this one (the carbonite and 5 years)
  11. I would appreciate if you would not speak on my behalf, especially when I do not share your opinion. Thanks.
  12. I also love the Voice Acting very much and would certainly be unhappy if they were to remove it completely from the next expansion. In fact, I would not even bother to buy it. I think it would be a bad move . All the players I know around me like this stuff very much.
  13. I'm playing and enjoying SWTOR and, from what I'm seeing on the horizon, it's not going to change anytime soon. Thanks for this positive thread!
  14. I'm among those who enjoy very much the expansion. The cut-scenes are absolutely fabulous and very immersive. The interraction with the characters are great and I enjoyed every moment through the main story. The finale is as grand as I was expecting it. Very good work there!
  15. I, for one, think that when you really enjoy a game and want to support it then you should subscribe. The F2P model is just fine as it is now. It allows players to play the entirety of the classes and the associated quests on all planets. I do not see why I should pay for people who do not want to support the game. The F2P model is made to try out the game and see if it suits you. Then if you get along fine with it, you sibscribe to enjoy it more.
