  1. Thank you for your replies . Yes, something goes wrong then, I think it tries a whole new download. Fortunately my sub ended on patchday and I've canceled it when I knew a patch will be released as I feared for this bug to happen again since my experience with 5.6. Changing to non streaming version will force me to redownload the full game again and I'm tired of doing it (3 times already), so I guess it's time to try ESO or FFXIV .
  2. Hello, Does anyone knows how many Gb the patch 5.7 is ? I ask that because I download it for many hours now with already 5Gb of data consumed and always at 75%. With 5.6 I had to redownload the whole game because of this "amazing" sh*t of ST launcher bugged, and I don't want to do it again, so if you tell me it's less than 5Gb then it's a full download. Thanks for your response.
  3. And my game did not patch. I have this error message about server and game version not compatible everytime they patch this game now since United Forces and I'm not the only one, but they don't give a heck about that issue. Eye color bug first I presume. If I have to do a full redownload again, I bid my farewell to this game.
  4. My game don't patch for 5.6.1 and this happened already with 5.6. On character selection, I have the message concerning the game version and the server which is not compatible. Last time I had to do a full redownload of the game but I'm not ready to do it another time, if it's the case, farewell SWTOR.
  5. I hope I won't have to redownload the whole game again as with 5.6. I cross my finger and everything I can cross.
  6. Yeah, i'll do it next time i'll have this issue, I'm at 85% now and if I disable bitraider now, it's a complete reinstall again.
  7. The SWTOR ST launcher must be the worst thing mankind ever created after nuclear bomb and Star Trek. It is the second time now that I have to redownload the game all over again after a patch. First time with KOTET and now with 5.6. Across the years, I can see many threads where people experienced similar issues, and you know the launcher have problem and yet, you don't do anything to fix it. Why? 5.6 must be 5Gb maximum but now, I have to redownload 35Gb of data to be able to play again. It's 7x internet data used, unacceptable. Don't get me wrong, the game is amazing, but the launcher just make me think if it's still worth subscribing because each time you will announce a patch, there is a chance that I lose 3 or 4 days just to download the WHOLE game AGAIN
  8. I'l try that for the next patch then. What irritate me the most is there's no explanation, I just have to deal with it because the launcher f***ed it up. Now every time they'll annouce a patch, I'll be terrified to do the reinstall all over again.
  9. No, I didn't switch to the SSN patcher. I still have the little "st" on the bottom left of this bloody launcher. I didn't reinstalled it either, on wednesday I was playing in the afternoon, then I logout to do some work, in the evening, I start the laucher and until now it says "updating". Now I have a notification that I can play but only on starter planet.
  10. Now I know what's happening to my game. It's redownload the entire game from scratch. Amazing work, how that can happen seriously? From a patch of 2Gb to an entire game of almost 35Gb. I must say Good Job BW, Good Job. Never get a similar issue from another MMO, NEVER.
  11. Thanks for your help. Unfortunatly, it didn't work, it continues to downlaod frow where I was before deleting bitraider.
  12. 16 hours of download now and still at 65%. Almost 20 Gb of data used for a patch, thank you BW.
  13. I came back to the game since united forces and on Tuesday my game wasn't patching and I got a message "Error: Your current game version does not match the server's, please restart the game. Follow the help center link below for more information". I sent a ticket and on wednesday morning my game start patching but it didn't take long. But in the evening when I relog, it starts a new download that last for 13 hours now for only 52%.
  14. Hello! I'm wondering how many Gb the patch 5.6 is, because I'm at 13 hours of download and almost at 15Gb of data used and still at 52%. As I know that the streaming launcher doesn't show the real advancement of a download, I want to know if I'm still far to see the light. Thanks.
  15. Hello everyone, Thanks to SWTOR technical support I can play the game now. First of all, you MUST UPDATE your graphic card driver. Then follow thiose steps carefully: Launcher cannot patch itself To resolve this issue, we recommend following these steps exactly. If you do not follow the steps in this order, the file may not execute correctly: Open your task manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) and ensure all SWTOR and Launcher processes have been shut down. Go to http://cdn-patch.swtor.com/patch/LauncherRepairUtilityP1.8.2.exe. A window will open asking if you would like to save or run the file. Please select save. If you're running Windows XP or Windows Vista - you may see a security warning at this point. Check here for more information. The Launcher Repair Utility places the directory it is initially run in in the Destination Folder field by default. You can either move the .exe to the appropriate Game Install folder (see default locations below), or change the information within the Utility after it is run. Default locations: For 32 bit Operating Systems - C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars - The Old Republic\ For 64 bit Operating Systems - C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars - The Old Republic\ Once you have placed the file in the appropriate location, run the application. If you have chosen to update the Directory Folder within the Utility, run the application and update the information. Choose Install, and let it complete. Once the installation is complete, please try launching the game again. Here's the link : https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-launcher-troubleshooting-guide/ I hope it will help.
