  1. exactly that is the point... at least imo... all other uses of crouching is unneeded for operative tho.. also id appreciate the return of snipe (and crushing darkness even tho i dont really play my sin) for the combos
  2. Hey guys... I am quite sure BioWare Devs will not read this but tonight some ideas came to my mind in order to improve PvP and make it more fun again, as I have been thinking about it for quite a bit of time and i dont really like the whole BioWare flame... 1. This one has been brought up by a lot of players now but since I find it so incredibly important: bring back expertise pls... I dont mesn in 5.0... its way too late for that but i really wsnt it back in 6.0... Im not even complaining about the speed of leveling (btw my fellow friends, iI remrmber the flsme in 4.0 when everybody whined that all the noobs have PvP gear and ir t was too easxy to get, so think twoce before you complain about everything BioWare does.) but swhat I miss is the difference between a PvPer and a PvEer... This will balance gearing disparities, PvPers can be more proud about their gear and PvErs who only want free grind instead of gamrplay will stop qing for WZs 2. To improve ranked PvP and normal PvP without BioWare having to change their way bans work Id suggest that eceryone who diserved a ban for hacking, wintrading etc, should get his/her account back after some time if BioWare wishes to do so... However to bab these people from PvP by making them unable to queue for either ranked or regs for the duration of a month. After the 2nd time they do something like that, a ban till the next season starts and tge 3rd time a permaban 3. Valor 25 can be achieved by any idiot... Its a too low requirement for ranked PvP and id rather suggest that to q up ome needs to have won 200 Reg matches or alternatively reached valor 80 on the specific char. 4. Motivate players to play better in a Warzone by introducing tge following 2 things: a. significantly reduce the amount of things you get when losing a wz to almost nothing and significantly rise the smount if things you get fir winning a WZ b. motivate the plaxers to group up (solve the premade and communication problem) by offering (I kniw this sounds incredibly stupid amd will most likely only have low impact but still i assume it will work) them social points for everytime they finish a warzone after grouping up... Its not much but more people will try to group up and make friends - an important aspect in mmo pvp) than queing solo... also you could rise the amount of rewards if played ina group.. 5. Increase the opportunity to stand out as a PvPer... Mounts, Toys Reputation Items etc are primarily designed to be achieved with PvE / Solo Grind; Give more options to show off as a PvPer... Valor 100 mounts, special dyes, decorations, armor, weapons that can be accessed after somd long time PvP expetience ... e.g. restrict those items to a new PvP currency and e.g Valor rank 100 Id also suggest to get rid of the old pvp servers or rename them... Then ill offer a free character + Guild transfer and without habing to redecorate strongholds and stuff + A significant amount of Valor points to every character who signs up for the transfer; When they have enough plaxers who sigmed up for a consistent population on the "New" PvP Server execute the tramsfers amd have again PvP servers that are what they were meant to be And talk to some experiened, popular longe time PvPers about the introduction of specific community manager (who is a pvper amd an active player) whose only job would be to keep in touch and represent the PvP community in terms of new patches etc... Lets say they really line up other classes with jugg dps to balance everyrthing... if so, there is another problem: They also exclude Marauders from the class changes... which means Marauders are going to be extremely overpowered.... Or they balance evereything to be on par with Marauders, in that case Juggernaut will be way below every other class as well... You get what Im aiming at? You cant balance classes if you take 2 classes that are in a way different spot balance wise out of consideration... somethjng will go wrong

Oh you got me completely wrong... as operative main i highly appreciate the roll physics and if bioware removes that from the game, operatives would be way way less fun... what i would suggest is to either maje a massive building in front of both spawns, or a ledge in front of both spawns... but pls keep roll as it is *__*
  5. No you cant. Operative Roll is the only ability that benefits from a ledge by such a huge amount... force speed will be actually slieed diwn when usesd at a ledge.

Well as an operative main I highly need zergers... because they draw attention and stack enemies.... without that itd be hard to play objectives orientated because in most cases you need to create an imbalance or a 1v1 situation to cap.... Now the issue i deire all pvpers to be aware of is the following: A damage player is benficual to his team if there are players who kniw objectives too, as long as they do it with the correct mindset: Even if you play damage only in the match: Your DPS is absolutely the least helpful part of your afford (however the same is objective score) The golden rule to climb the step from a good/decent player to a GREAT player is to know that the scoreboard means nothing... Never fluff damage... always hold back amd wait for a gap to exploit... try to keep aoes and dots as rare as possible.... If you can stealthers should be your groups tactic leaders... always communicate with stealthers and if you are not sure about a situation 100% always follow their commands: i often loseatches because people fail to listen.... always be mindful of a match instead of a battle: its probably the best tip i can give you: if a battle feels easy and you are not exhausted or faceroll easy make it, there is 99% a battle elsewhere on the map where people need help amd fail to call use (north/east/west/south) as direction for calls... on every map its better to leave out the number of incoming people when you do a call than to give an incorrect number Get a good idea of how good you are and how well you are in scenarios.... its better to make a not needed call if you arent sure about how long you can do your job vefore dying than to think you have everything under control and then get rekt without a call... but the right amount of experiemce (id say 20k player kills / 1k wzs / valor 70) you can delay or skip a call if you are certain in a nutshell: damage is not useless if its under the correct mindset/awareness: WHEN to do WHAT KIND OF damage is what matters.... HOW MUCH damage is third priority... even in a 1v1 against a full 248 geared arsenal, engineering, lethality whatever who knows the rotation fir max dps but is not used to pvp will outperform me on a not even full 242 concealment operative by far ... but i will most likely easilx win the duel because i know when to do damage, when to retreat etc and thus reck him most likely.... tell me your main class, name, and server and ask me more specific questions pls ill see what i can do... but i want to know what to cover before i write a whole PVP guide :'D

  8. Hello folks, I kniw its a bit late to bring up this topic but unfortunately i failed to coma across this issue in the past.... In ny opinion and as I (Operative Main) experience ut a lot now Odessen us slightly imbalanced for operatives uf you are in the purple team AND south is activated in the first round. (Also predation has an influence here) The thing i noticed is that right when xou get outside of the respawn area there are two different designs... Whereas you get a massive wall building on yellow side, tghere is sth comparable to a plattform on the purple side. Now if I do a cliff roll out of the spawn on purple side, i get the opportunity to do a second cliff roll (further distance) of the plattform which i obviously cant on the yelliw side (normal ground roll only). This makes me fast enough to be at south and in LoS before enemies arrive and due to their not being able to leap gives me a guaranteed cap if the teams are balanced (either both predation or no predation mainly)... I kniw its not a HUGE advantage and maybe i see sth in a way that is wrong but this is my impression for now.. Pls feel free to give your thoughts on this and let me know your ideas...   10. in all honesty i sonetimes wish people would care less about the objectives right now... at least on my server they seem to care which us actually a goid thing... hiwever these gzys tend to be immune to reading the chat and nake horrible decisions even when warbed before... its just happening over and over again that people screw up sap caps even tho xou tell then to not follow xou... or that stealtged operative in the endzone wgho crys for a pass... you then give up your free double roll score to pass.. just to see he doesnt unstealth... multiple times... in tge same match.. i mean i am an operative main and ibjectives is what im born for... but i think what pvp is lacking mowadays is NOT objective orientated pkayers... much rather one of the core abilities every class can provide: communication... in a nutshell: before us elitists teach newbies how to pvp... we have to teach em how to talk and write
  11. welll there is another way of getting them but im not 100% sure how it works... but i tend to get 1 for doing a pvp match... but im not sure whether this is subject to either winning or dark/light side winning as a full time pvper i have now 100 of them... so i cant really watch it effectively... but my Problem is i dont know how to spend em

This is a very difficult question to answer for a simple reason: Both classes are goddamn hard to play... if you want to go into pvp and take a lethality operative people will laugh at yoi when you are against good players... i never met a lethality operative who got my operatove below 70% solo... So in PvP id suggest concealment... but its really time consuming to leanr about that spec .. it looks really good in the hands of the right player.... but as a beginner you will get globalled several times and miss out a kot of fancy moves... Id recommend watching Snaves videos on YT for learining a thing or 2... and to duel some decent players and ask for their help... If you are on TRE i can help ya out... PT is probably the worst dps class atm... it ahould only be played if you really enjoy this class but even if you do its not viable for NIM content (im a full time pvoer so correct me if im wrong).. For operations both operative dps specs are viable atm and lethality has the highest theoretical dps in the game right now... but id still say concealment for ops as well.. (6th highest dps on dummy but way better to pull off in raids)
  14. ahm if you want some pvp id suggest you to try out the red eclipse... its the highest populated eu server and wzs pop really frequenr still.. even tho the population has decreased its sti very active... also TRE is the home of most elitist pvpers especially from tofn... with the excepruon of the best pvpers the game has ever had (I assume you know "Force leech my banana"?)... wassel is on T3, Drago on VC, krellton on VC and Tre so a bit split up... but i guess for some good pvp experience you should try out TRE or TSL
  15. due to juggs current Position in pvp it is usually the case that People will Focus you first: your Job is to make the best out of this Knowledge... 1st always stay behind your Group at the start of a match: enemies will still want to attack you first, so they run to 3 People attacking them without really paying Attention... a decent Advantage that can be exploited with cc Management 2nd don't use your guard right away... you cant efford the damage since you will very likely be focused... start off tanking with taunts and leap..... guard only when the enemy really doesnt Focus you... 3rd try to not to do too much damage to one target... Focus on dot spread and swap Targets to confuse the tank and heal... fi you stay on a target too Long you will pull aggro - comparable to pve 4th is only a Little trick with juggs i can give you... you may already know it but always Combine the warzone med pack with endure pain to get the most out of it.. but you will most likely have a hard time as veng jugg in ranked.... and id really suggst you to go rage if you want to do pvp
  16. thats definetely not true... 1st pvers use way more accuracy and 2nd the real pvers will never have a Chance against a hardcore pvper... thats not insulting their skill but how would they? pvers lack the experience in how to Play around CDs, how to deal with cc, how to use their ccs and stuff against Players optimally... getting stunlocked because you failed with your cc breaker, predicting the enemies move wrong, Panic and use too many defensives are mistakes of such great importance that gear wouldnt matter. a full 248 merc that uses 2 h2f at the same time or uses his cc breaker to early will face 8 seconds of stunlocking to death.... theres no way around this... but id still get back to Expertise... grinding pvp shall be acknowledged... pvp gear was the way to go (not if you get it as fast as in 4.0 but also not depending on ranked commondations like before 3.3)... find a moderate solution
  17. well i personally dont like the idea... first of all gearing is always sth that should make a difference... grinding gear is probably one of the most interesting aspects in mmos and Shows your Progression... and it never made a huge difference.. just a slight difference and thats how it should be... and secondly: you take away everything that is Player based in gearing,, which especially in pvp is a huge disadvantage... Alacritiy is the best example? how would someone with bad latency or who is not fast at cliking be forced to use alacrity which would hurt his damage really bad? or why wouldnt those who want to get high sustained dps be able to optimize their gearing and those who want more burst do that as well? a really bad idea imo... bringing Expertise back (i guess most of the pvpers agree here) and slightly increase the number of unassambled components and cxp in pvp (to gear as fast as in operations) would actually fix the whole issue...

  19. Hello dear fellow players, our lovely guild 'At least we got mid' is always looking for some new players... We are a guild that has only very few limits and a wide range of content we participate in. As such we also have a wide range of players and you can find a lot of new friends here if you are willing to give up some elitism for social advantages. We can offer you a l lot of end game content and our players are mostly competent enough to get you into decent PvP and Hardmode operations. We have very talented OP leaders and PvE content is there but in my opinion (I am actually only an officer not the guild lead) the focus is more on PvP, and for that not onyly new players but also old full time PvPers like Yuana (3rd place in URC) or me (Abyss). But even more important to that we can offer you a social, player/noob freindly environment with a lot of helpful and sociable players.. I want everyone to have fun in this game We ofc do have a guild ship, rep and experience bonus. Our most important and probably only rule is that everyone who wants to take part needs to have decent social skills and does not insult newbies etc... Our IMP side guild is leaded by Cedric Siroux and is called 'At least we got mid'. Our REP side guild is leaded by 'Samantha' and is called 'Least we cap'd mid' If you want to participate pls just ask anyone who is online at that time for an Inv... if said person has enough rights he will most likely invite you. If not he will refer you to an Officer. Im already looking forward to some new members...     Hey Fellow PvPers... As i love PvP and the forum posts tend to only adress OP and BROKE class whines id actually enjoy a serious discussion again: The idea is to bring arguments on what class you enjoy in PvP and why. For example: I enjoy Carnage Marauder and Concealment Operative the most... I am an objective oriented player and these 2 classes make me feel to have a lot of impact on a match without being either overpowered or to weak. I excel at tactics and stuff so the mobility + burst combo seems to fit my playstyle the most. Dependinf on the enemies listing I either do better on Mara or Operative... So let me know what you think and start Discussing... Pls do not make any Mercs/Snipers OP or PT/Jugg are useless statements... this is not what i was aiming at.

    hm... if i was allowed to change1 thing in this game ... i would change the community... i have learnt to accept the changes as they come and have fun as much as i can hardcoring pvp ... avoid fotm and broken classes and jzst have fun while improving my skill etc... (However I miss Expertise the most ) But everyone on the forum is crying that the game doesnt make fun? how would it if everyone is complainingt and whining 24/7? would average soccer teams have fun if they only complained about how op barcelona is? would children habe fun if they only whined that their friend is running faster? just have fun with what you can have... be friendly to other players (especially not rude to newbs and then complain that the community is too snall)... This the best change the game could possibky receive (+bring expertise back)... even better than a 100% perfect class balance... grets
  22. Well I dont really agree with either of the ggiven response... (however, its basically peraonal preference). Id suggest running with neither a high or no alacrity build. I think the weakest aspect of carnage is its being countered and stuff... In my opinion fitting in 4 abilities in a ferocity (gore) window is way to vulnerable in pvp, but fitting in only 2 is not really decent either. so i always try to get in 3 abilities (Best case: Vicious throw clipped - devestating blast - gore)... This is sth that i feel eas to pull of and i get along great with it in both regs and ranked... Without more than the spec based alacrity (3%) this is possible in normal cases and eas to pull off with berserk - so what id reccomend is to get a little bit of alacrity as this will make you easy in pulling this off even without berserk however you dont waste stats... moreover you highly benefit from the high burst numbers more than from alacrity in pvp basically in every class.. (if you say sth else it might be due to one of the following reasons: you have master human speed and always perfect lateny, you only q with mates and usually end up against bad enemies, you only care for your dps at the end and not for how well you did in the match)... getting the following build (i use it) will make you viable in regs and ranked... it is boosting your burst awesomely and reducing your vulnerability to be countered (for some gameplay tips feel free to pm me or contact me in game (TRE - Ab'yss Razer anD Exfiltrate most of the time) So I gear like this: Use 208 purple gear until you get 230 purple or higher and 228 augments! Highest priority - for the armorings and for the priority on items you choose - is getting a piece of gear in every slot and 2nd highest is getting set piece (192 set piece would do better than 242 no set piece) Do never take Accuracy in PvP - this is a mistake pvers do as for them its the highest priority stat... dont do it... why? players only have a 5% chance to defend (not true for sorc, pt, op, etc) so one might think 105% accuracy is best... However most of your misses in pvp are due to specific dcds or ccs... and then your accuracy wont help you out... so you actually try to avoid these dcds (for example attack a force shrouding assassin with white damage or waiting out a few seconds when an agents pops evasion before hitting a white attack)...anyway you want to buff the attacks you do hit with... so no accuracy - it has always been like that and especially in 5.0 as bolster will bring your accuracy up anyway... For mods never choose mods with a letter (A/B).... only unlettered ones or the "X-Lettered" (old pvp gear - X stands for expertise) and only choose power ones (no defence rating - i see this way too often) Crystals go for Mastery (old pvp crystals will do) Relics are stil Serendipitious Assault and Focused Retribution Now i have covered the less interesting stuff and im moving on to Enhancements and Augments (i do count Ear and Implants as Enhancements in that case) Go with full crit enhancements till the point you hit 70-71% multiplier (aroumd the time you get full 230) then go for all crit but 1 alacdity Augments i go for 12 Mastery and 2 Alacrity, based on personal preference you can do 12 power and 2 alacrity as well... i dont know maybe this is placebo as the mathematical difference is really not to be mentioned... but somehow i feel stronger with 12 Mastery than i do with 12 Power... Feel free to try both... Domt forget to take the 4 Rage building utility in carnage pvp... its worth it (but only in carnage ( if you have questioms or opinions pls respond an rate my build... always into some nice conversation
