With as fast as some players & guilds go threw content here in this game, I am really wondering how fast it will take some of these players to obtain the companion even though, the devs stated that the quest to obtain him will be really long and exhausting.
I will give it 1 day after the release of him for the first person to acquire him. Any thoughts on what you guys think?
Depends on what the quest entails. If it is more complicated than the tauntaun was to acquire it will take weeks to figure it out. People will get all the pieces to the puzzle but won't know what order to assemble them.

I deleted my level 50 op and kept the buff. Like someone else said. Once a legacy skill is unlocked it is permanent with the exception of character perks.

I think this too. Unless there is some major issue shouldn't take more than 2 weeks to get the kinks figured out in the new op/ new resolve system.

With nerf to Denova SM in 1.4 (to make it easier to pug groups to clear it) they might consider adding it in the future. But that's it.
I think this, but seperate it from KP and EV. Similar to how LI is seperated from other HMs. EC is still more challenging than KP or EV so seperating it would make more sense to make sure everyone who wants to do it is prepared to go in and not just getting a random pop.

Um they said hk-51 would be in 1.4 update i seen many times said by bw.....
No they didn't. When they posted the hk video it said "coming soon" followed by dev posts that said they had no timetable on when hk would be added. Never once did they say HK would be in 1.4 players started that rumor and now watch they will QQ and blame bioware for telling more lies when they never confirmed it.

No they stated from the start. Hk-51, Makeb, Cathar, new operation, new warzone, new flashpoint etc, would all be in by the end of the year. They never said all would be 1.4 or all would be in at the same time.

Basically I'm contemplating either levelling a Chiss to 50 or buying the Chiss Race in order to create a Chiss Marauder, as I haven't seen many out there and believe it will be quite cool/unique
Just wondering if any of you guys have or see many Chiss Marauders running around?

Most of my alts are chiss. My first toon was a Chiss BH and then 1.2 hit and I used chiss for new toons. I have a chiss jug, smuggler and knight, but I don't see many others when playing through.

In the Republic post-EC cinematic, the Dread Masters summon Kephess' ghost to make threats of revenge on you. Unless I fell asleep and missed it, that doesn't happen in the Imperial post-EC cinematic. Of course, if you're on the Republic side, when the Dread Masters show up, you're like "who?" At least the Imperials have actually met the Dread Masters before. Guess you really have to play both sides to have any idea what's going on in the story...
You didn't miss it but the dread masters do state during the Imperial cutscene "Kephess was our tool, he was broken but will be rebuilt.' You don't see him but they do state he's not gone

Ah, thanks for the explanation, I'll go youtube it. Despite having completed all the ops I've never run them in a group that was "seeing the sights" so to speak so I haven't seen any of the cutscenes. Only a week ago I had to ask a guildmate why we were on Denova fighting a trandoshan.
You can pick up the quest and after you clear reenter before the ops group disbands to turn it in. That is what most people I have run with have done.

Yes, if you do the quest for EC when you first enter and watch the video upon completion it shows the Dread masters explaining their plan to destroy both the pubs/imps and the revival of Kephess who swears revenge on you and says next time you meet he will win.

What I ended up doing is:
4-5 Warzones a day. With the daily you get significant XP/level
Space dailies again if you complete all the bonuses in them it is a nice XP boost
Always log out in a ship, the fleet or cantina, to maximize rested XP
Do bonus series on each planet they normally grant an extra level per planet at least through Act 1
Doing all this I normally would be 3-4 levels above planet. I have gotten all 8 of my characters to 50 and normally hit Nar Shadaa around 24, Tattooine close to 30 and Alderaan 32-33.
If this is not your first character consider buying the character perks they give a significant boost especially Warzone, Class quest and, flashpoints.
One trick I found is if you have other alts you are playing for whatever reason take the one you want to level and just log him out in a rest area for a few days. When you come back he/she will have a full rested XP bar and leveling is much quicker.

You are aware a good portion of the team is in Germany for gamescom this week right? It's perfectly reasonable that this week would have lower communication. If it keeps up through next week then you will have a complaint

remember if you start a convo on a mount, you get no affection points as the game thinks you have no companion summoned. you must dismount and then click on the npc.
Actually affection is stil gained it just does not show the little popup just at the end of the quest will give you in the reward window 'Gained X affection with Companion' but I considered this and made sure to not be mounted. No affection on ship, class quests, side quests. Seems to be just a bug with my character though :/

Last night while questing I got the usual +/- gains from convesations with my companions. Since logging on today and questing I have gotten to affection to any companions at all either positive or negative. Has anyone else experienced this problem
I have been using my Sith Sorc and all 3 companions I have right now, Khem, Andronikus and Ashara all have been the same. No affection at all from conversations

yes, if you read the codex and the mail that gets sent it tells you they discovered the race items were tributes to the Gree who will be arriving soon. The event was a leadup to the new operation just like the rakghoul event was a leadup to KuS and LI

Did it on my 18. quests were easy themselves but the trash that spawned made it nearly impossible at some points especially the eating utensils area.

Hi folks,
We wanted to inform you all that there is currently an issue with the missions A Lead, A New Lead, and Another Lead. The way the Chevin Event works is that players can find the first six items of the mission The Grand Acquisitions Race whenever at their leisure. The next three items will unlock on a daily basis (item #7 unlocks the day after, item #8 the day after that, and item #9 unlocks a day after that).
Players are currently running into an issue that when they complete the mission, A Lead (item #7), the UI marks Another Lead (item #9) as complete with no item given to the player.
DO NOT WORRY. These three missions are merely hints. You DO NOT need this mission to appear in your Mission Log in order to activate it. It will unlock on a daily basis as I outlined earlier.
To be clear, you can STILL play these missions even if they are marked as complete. You just have to wait for their specific daily unlock.
For your convenience, I have posted the text for each mission below:
A Lead (Item #7 - Akar Kesh Meditation mask): A Sniffer droid is available to aid you in your search for the Black-and-Orange Sphere, but is still undergoing programming. [unlocks a day after acquiring the first six items]
A New Lead (Item #8 - Black-and-Orange Sphere): Sapaaga the Hutt is refusing to speak to anyone at this time. Check back with the Hutt observation droid at the Lower Promenade on Nar Shaddaa later, when the Hutt's string of losses may have made him more inclined to negotiate. [unlocks two days after acquiring the first six items]
Another Lead (Item #9 - Plasma-Sealed Jar): A Republic Slicing Droid is tapping into the Transportation Network Terminal in Shadowtown in Nar Shaddaa to locate information leading the Plasma-Sealed Jar. [unlocks three days after acquiring the first six items]
What about the imp side bug that completes all items. Some players have done this not in the means of exploiting, but playing the game as they normally would. Are their characters bugged now for the entire event or do they simple miss out on doing those last 3 item discovery quests but nothing else?

And that surprises you. Most of the fatman population was people with alts who rolled there while servers were dead. Once server transfers hit they started playing their mains on the new full servers hence fatman 'died' with the transfers, but good job trying to spin it.

CE cost about $100 more than the standard edition at most they would give 6-7 months free subs to offset the price. As a CE owner I don't even think that should happen as we already received exclusive in game items as well as physical collectors item which is the reason for getting the COLLECTOR's edition.

In this announcment http://www.swtor.com/info/news/press-release/20120731 , they are saying that a new update is coming this month.
"BioWare will be increasing the frequency of game content updates, with the first of many new releases coming in August."
So, do you think this is a new world event, maybe nim denova ..or 1.4?
I doubt 1.4 but in the HK-51 video it said coming 'very' soon. I'm guessing they release a mini patch with Hk, NiM denova and maybe a couple other things.

So I paid for the game. Then pay for sub for 6 months. Now the game I PAID for is going to be free? And i have to buy the content I paid for again? This is BS. If i don't want to keep my SUB i should keep the launch content with out having to us the in-game store. If i don't i will have no chose but to sue. What about the year subs they PAID for a year this isn't going to be the product they paid for. This is a BS move and will lead to a law suit. You can quote the EULA but that isn't strong enough to protect them it will not stand up in court. The EULA is company policy at best.
I'm not sure your parents or legal guardians will pay for a lawyer just because you're bitter

This one line does seem to give me a little more confidence that by boosts they do not mean something that will game breaking.
I could see boosts being '120% speeder travel' 'quick travel reduction' 'xp boosts for leveling'. I don't see however them putting in any items that aren't cosmetic yet. Down the road when we have the next few sets of gears added I could see them saying 'alright so you can play catchup quicker you can buy columi for $5' while leaving the high level gears off the market
