  1. I have a couple of questions, though some of them may be more geared towards the general future than these specific upcoming updates. I hope that's okay, getting some answers on these would just help with my peace of mind since I love the game but haven't really been exited about it in awhile. 1. Is the story going to stay focused on stuff from Zakuul? I'd kind of like to see it go back to the imps vs pubs and the whole power fantasy of being the most important leader in the galaxy has gotten old for me as well, and doesn't really fit some of my characters. I miss all my characters potentially existing in the same timeline and being an important player in the galaxy, not the central figure in it. Also I feel like we never got a satisfying continuation of of the Empire vs Republic since the main game. (If you can't answer this just feel free to skip, I know some intel is classified ) 2. Is it possible to get our companions back in the ship again? My high level mains' ships feel really empty and depressing even though most of their teams have been almost completely reformed. Maybe something like Stronghold hooks but only for companions? That way we could choose to have whoever we want to cruise around the galaxy with us. 3. Can Mako be cross class available? Its a crime not to have her around to brighten up more chars day. Hell, if its already set in stone that she's only available for the hunter and/or smuggler then just give us a *SPOILERS* mako clone *SPOILERS* version. I'd drop cartel coins on that.
  2. I already kinda touched on what I liked in a thread about where I'd like to see the story go from here but here's my two bits on what's already happened. Honestly, I have overall enjoyed the new expansions. Some of the cinematic scenes were breathtaking like the high orbit battles on Voss and when my trooper rounded the corner and point blanked a skytrooper with their pistol. Stuff like that I would like to see more of. I also thought the main cast was pretty good. I thought Jorgan deserved better than being paired with Kalyo but I felt like, with Lana and Theron especially, things felt more like classic starwars with a close knit motley crew taking the fight to a sinsiter bad guy around the galaxy with some so deadpan humour thrown into the mix. Those two are good and I really like having a Sith around who doesn't have a hypothetical curly mustache to twirl around every five seconds, so I strongly disagree with those who say Lana isn't dark enough. As for the plot, my main alts are mainly hunters and troopers so I felt the story was too force heavy. Starwars is a great setting because it combines that mystical ancient space magic with elements from space westerns and WW2 movies. There's a lot to do there and each haracter class has their niche in one of those elements so forcing them too far into another of those is a bit weird to say the least. I can't say my hunters will take too well to becoming the head of a galactic superpower and my troopers, while at home commanding a force or even reconstruction, are not the royalty type. It does feel like we're kinda written into a corner here but I'm still interested to see what comes next. Despite the flaws it's still passable at worst and overthinking anything star wars is just a bad idea in my experience. I'd really like to see a return to being just a semi-important somebody flying around the galaxy in my ship with a small, but interesting and endeering crew. Vaylin and Fry Face there were kind of a mixed bag as far as antagonists. On the one hand they were sinister and their volatility made them dangerous enough but that emotional imabalance was also a huge weakness so I pretty much worked out how they'd screw up and give me an opening from early on. Valkurion, or whatever he feels like being called today, was interesting at times but given his past work on Ziost it wasn't hard to see him coming a mile away, the only question was on the fine details of the 'how'. The level of sass on him tho... Personally I find the best villains are ones you root for almost as hard as the good guys and/or are just enjoyable and engaging characters on their own so that might be something to look into for the next storyline. These guys were a bit cliche at the end of the day despite having a few strengths as bad guys. I wasn't really taken by Zakuul. They were a bit too much 'high fantasy in space' for me whereas the Empire and Republic balanced those jedi/sith aspects out with their own modern-esque mainstream soceties and militaries. The whole decedant Fallen empire part wasn't really interesting either since it really made them less intimidating as enemies. I'm not opposed to new factions coming in, but I'd prefer if they were complex enough to have something interesting enough for everybody, not just the force users. Also I felt like their over use of droids in their army left out a chance to give them some real personality because a civilization's soldiers and military organization can give a really interesting insight into their society. Being a former soldier who served a country that I was not born in, I could definately go much deeper into the nuances of that last point but it's not relevant for a short 'my impressions' dump like this. All in all I have liked the story stuff for the new game in general and thought the good stuff outweighed the bad. Story is the main reason I play this game, strongholds and companion/PC fashion being the others . I think you guys are still doing the best work in terms of writing out of most of the recent Bioware games and SWTOR doesn't get enough credit for doing so well despite limited resources and KOTOR's shadow. If any devs are reading this I hope you also get a chance to look at and think about my thread with my thoughts on the story going forward because it expands on this feedback here and has some ideas I would be really exited to see going forward. (I did come up with them after all )
  3. Broke it up a bit. Apologies for any spelling or grammar errors, there wasn't much time to edit it before I posted and my browser's spell check is in Danish, not English so I couldn't just quickly do a run over with that.
  4. Hey guys, This is mainly aimed at the devs. I'm really pleased with the direction you're taking the game and in fact just about every suggestion I have had since Fallen Empire will be implemented by the end of the summer so that's very much appreciated. So that really only leaves one big one that comes to mind and it relates to the story. I mainly play SWTOR for the story and I loved the chapters with their intense cinamatics and lack of grinding to get to the tasty story bits but there a few things I think could improve it even more going forward. 1. Probably the biggest, but I missed my characters being less important. I mean, their actions had an effect on the galaxy and they were definately VIPs in their respective factions but they weren't the leaders of a superpower and I know some of most of my characters to varying degrees weren't the types to take to ruling very well. My one Hunter is a nomad, my troopers were fit into the role of commander naturally but hated the statecraft and attention while my one main jedi just wanted to do the right thing. Becoming the new emperor I felt was a step too far on the 'your character matters' bar and it makes much tougher decisions for you guys writing in terms of trying to give our choices impact. Personally I'd like to go back being just one player, so to speak, in a much bigger setting flying around the galaxy in my ship with a small team of beloved companions. Luckily I have a thought on how that coud come to pass. The alliance is still made up of mercenary, ex-imperial and republic forces united in accomplishingthe defeat of the eternal empire and *spoiler alert* it did. Now with their main reason for being their through and the old Pub-Imp war flairing up again there's going to be at the very least some tension, but more likely a lot. What if the plausible happens and it all goes up in smoke? Tensions boild over and the alliance fractures on Imperial and Republic lines with no one exempt. The commander has already alligned themselves in this on Iokath so the have loyalists based on that decision but in the fighting on Odessen even their companions can't help but are forced to choose sides, largely influenced by past decisions you made and who you chose to ally with. Here the player deals with them in mini boss fights and has a chance to spare, rescue or kill some while others escape to become recurring allies or enemies later on. However after these confrontations both sides bleed themselves dry indecisively so it becomes a fighting withdrawl to the ships so they can rejoin their respective faction's fleets and on the way back to their ship the player chooses which of their still loyal companions to take with them on their ship(like, 5 or six not including HK and Treek ect) and they show up there from now on and are your permanent companions from then on. I think this offers up some really impactful encounters and choices right from the get-go and sets up plenty more to come. My good-guy bounty hunter defected to the republic like he had wanted to for years but he also romanced Lana so if she ends up going back to the empire both that pivotal moment and the eventual and inevitable confrontation with him and Theron would be the stuff of legend whether it results in a happy ending or not. This is just my rough concept for what I would ideally like to see going forward in terms of story and plot direction, you devs are free to take from it what you will(it's highly encouraged in fact ) but I think something along those lines has a lot of potential. If people are worried about not being able to run around with certain companions they killed off then something like that holo in the outlander's room on oddessen would be a good fix. 2. These are mostly little things mechanical here out but they have an effect on my imerssion when roleplaying so I think they are not out of place in the story thread. The first of those is bringing back multiplayer to story missions. I love the single player focus but I do like to occaisionally play this game with friends and a big plus to this game is being able to experience a starwars story with my buddies so bringing back party particicpation in story missions and cut scenes would really nice. It would also help contextualizing all these other ****** PCs running around the place story wise(though that might take some story explanation as well for why there are other outlanders). 3. If my bounty hunter defected to the Republic I'd like to be able to go to courescant, the vaikeden space dock, and republic landingzones/spaceports in general. Not sure if that's practical but it'd be a small thing that is majorly satsifying. 4. Sort of a recuring theme in my points but bring the PC down a few levels(not literally though). Being king/queen of the galaxy is boring but having everything they built blow up in their face and the be forced to go back to their old(or new) bosses would be a real character building moment for those of us that keep track of our character's persoanlity and development and present really rich possibilities in terms of story, whether it's the main plot, side quests or companion interactions. 5. Could we get some more side conversations with our companions? I know voice actors are expensive but just one or two new conversations every month or two would be great, especially with romanced companions. That's about it for my idea dump here. I'm really encouraged by your guys renewed effort to comunicate and take in feed back so here's my two bits. I had four in January but you guys already took care of half of 'em so here's hoping on the rest... BTW if Charles is reading this I just wanted to say that I love it in the dev streams when you casually drop in a "ya'all". I'm Canadian so hearing that outside of a movie or ironic accent is a novel experience
  5. Hi all, This is meant towards the developers, but if anyone else likes to idea to please feel free to voice your support. I really love the game and the new expansion has been amazing. However I would like to offer a suggestion. I noticed that I can't equip characters like Lana and Theron with custom armour. Their default outfits are great, don't get me wrong but I like to dress up my companions and my troopers are particularly OCD with uniform standards Is it possible in one of the up coming chapters that you could open up their armour slots? Ideally their new loadouts would show in the cut scenes as well as general adventuring but I could live them just reverting to their defaults in the story movies if necessary. Just thought I'd ask if it was possible and when I might expect it if you pick it up. Thanks for your time and keep up the good work. Gonna go raid a star fortress before dinner >
  6. I tried asking this on the SWTOR facebook page but for some reason I could not see the comments so I'm gonna try here. So I've been playing the past couple years mainly for the story and am enjoying the game a lot, KotFE has also definitely been amazing so far. However I noticed that I cannot give the new companions(Lana, Theron, Senya, Koth ect), any new armour. There default gear is great but I do like to customize my companions look so I was wondering if it will be possible to do that at sometime. Ideally it would show in story scenes as well as out adventuring around the galaxy and hanging out in strongholds but if it can't show in the story because of whatever reason then I guess that's fine too. But like I said, in cut scenes too would be ideal.
