Yeah, investigation requires sending them out, which requires money. I'm not able to keep it up to my other 2 skills, either. Ironically, just hit lvl 25 and need 40k + 8k (training + bike), but can't quite afford it as I've been pushing my investigation as well.

I believe it's whoever wins the roll for choosing where to go. They can choose to go back and you all go back. Second, you can take the shuttle rather than playing the FP over again if you don't want to. It's in the room adjacent to the one where you "board" the Talon.
