  1. I main an Op healer. I stay in heals mode and I use Kaliyo. I found everything here really easy. Nothing I couldn't heal Kaliyo through and made sure I interrupt what needed to be. Use recuperative nanotech on cooldown, keep hots up on you and Kaliyo (or rep version), interrupt. I'm now in full 180/186 and Kaliyo in Verpine and it's really, really easy. But, wasn't a lot harder when in the Orconian 156 story gear.
  2. Maybe I'm biased, I run an operative and feel I have more utility than any other healer. I rarely use channel heals, everything is instant with either immediate or hot effects. I can move as I heal which helps with avoiding fight mechanics on the floor. I can battle rez and stealth rez. The biggest thing for me is it appears I have unlimited resources. I rarley go below 75 energy and only on the most intensive fights I need to use my energy regain ability. Throw in evasion on 30 secs for self cleansing/damage reduction, as well as your normal cleanse and OP healers are just marvelous in every situation. I have played Merc healer and thought it was OK. I have never played a Sorc.
  3. I bought a dread forged relic for 210k. Person obviously meant to put it for 2.1mil. I was chuffed to bits. A good result for me, tough ***** to the seller.
  4. I think you missed out the idea in your idea.
  5. Maybe try getting one character, sticking with it to max lvl and doing some of the content at end game. Trying to run 12 characters won't give you the sense of any individual story and you will take along time to discover all the abilities. Also, why would other peoples preference have a bearing on you? If I like abilities and someone else says stories, how does that help you make a decision? Play your own game. I am currently lvl'ing my fourth toon. The others I stuck with all the way to 55 before moving on. I got a good sense of their stories and their abilities. Switching constantly would have ruined that experience IMO.
  6. Both. Some lightside answers get you gains, some dark side answers get you gains. Some right down the middle, non LS or DS answers get you gains. Quinn wants everything you to do to be in support of the Empire. This is they way with many companions.
  7. It's the exact same. With companion gifts, which can be bought from vendor for little creds, you can get anyone to the required affection to start the romance. Any choices of, for eg. Dark Side, the companion does not like, tends to only drop 1 point of affection. A gift you can buy for 200 creds will give 39 affection.
  8. Hi guys. I originally lvl'd this toon with the intention of tanking, till I realised how much I suck at tanking. I went down the DPS route and have got myself a nice full arkanian set, fully aug'd. I have went with rage at the moment. It's pretty easy, buff smash, then smash and repeat. But, while it's great on aoe I'm not so sure about single target. Also, when CC is in use, I'm pretty sure my dps is very bad as I can't use smash. So my question is, is the other spec better DPS single target and is the rotation more complex in comparison with the very easy Rage spec rotation? Or should I give tanking another go? I read the Dufly guide, went in a FP and got kicked I tried again and got a lot of abuse and immediately respec'd
  9. I do not play any PVP. Having now used the new way to heal in almost every OP, except DF and DP NiM, I have not noticed a single thing with my TA and SP. I am healing exactly as I was before. I'm also still swimming in TA's. So the big nasty nerf has not happened in my opinion. In fact, we've been buffed. I can use shield probe more and I get two free rolls with exfiltrate. I honestly think my toon has been buffed and not nerfed in 2.7. I guess it will come down to different play styles and healing methods. I play as Vic'Vega on The Red Eclipse
