  1. Hi all, not sure if raiding community is still alive but looking for a guild that raids at APAC nights. I have all HM/NiM achievements except a few 16m ones(93% operations) and can play any role in either pub/imp side. Don't care which guild i'm in so long as i get to raid at nights, only just returned though so my gear is mostly revanite. PM me or reply here for more info. Cheers
  2. itll make stealth classes much stronger as they can easily fully heal after stealthing out of combat
  3. if you were a pt/vg, the close and personal reflect dmg, and sonic rebound on UL on top of hammer shots will more than make up for it.
  4. You can always just form your own group you know. Right now the lvl 50 ops are so easy and you can literally afk and come back without dropping any health in combat, and same for lvl 55 sm ops. Ppl do join them as well, give about 10-15mins to form up (which is probably the same time you stand around in fleet waiting). In Kotfe, the older ops won't be as faceroll and if anything, have a larger barrier for newcomers/casuals.
  5. yes i believe so, but their numbers have been seriously demolished with the recent (and near future) downturn of endgame raiding. Notorious synergy is also GMT+8 i believe.
  6. 2 pt tanks is fine. Get the PT tank closest to entrance to pop hydraulics and taunt at start of burn phase to eat the knockback(use stun break asap). Both PT tanks can also throw oil slick where the orb spawns closest to them so if the slam doesn't align, you have plenty of time to keep the orb fairly stationary. Entrance PT tank then swaps after you push first hand. This tank should pop defensives and hydraulics while dealing with hands, and the "free" tank can taunt boss and also stun(jolt + carbonize) to delay any orbs on the entrance corner. Just ensure you slam the orb that spawned first/closest to group and hit at least 1 orb for every slam. Do that and you get the kill.
  7. btw 10% of the player base raid cos 50% of the player base are gold spammer accounts.. and yes whilst i agree they should make a new ops, it just wont happen until mid next year(at least). They flat out told us there wont be new ops for kotfe, zilch. Yet, some hopefuls think there will be soon lol
  8. for 4.0, effectively all melee classes got a new gap closer, while all ranged classes got a new escape ability. Assassins got phantom stride while sorcs get phase walk.
  9. yea, i run very minimal defense on my shadow tank(which cleared revan hard mode in july) and stack shield/absorb. I think i only run 400 defense rating atm. The reason behind this is because i want to reduce spikiness in alot of the strong K/E moves from bosses (e.g. saber charge from revan), and especially for that fight, consistency is much more important. Higher defense rating as a result of the new gear types may increase chance to avoid the dmg altogether but will make tanks alot spikier and less consistent, which isn't ideal for progression pve imo.
  10. considering the lack of pvp updates for this game, i doubt that. But you can expect more solo content to be updated and lots and lots moar interstellar barbie outfits from new packs, as well as new furniture to go with your strongholds so everyone can host a tea party.
  11. depends on the op. If it's Hard/Nightmare mode, then pugs are expected to have achievement as progression should be done within a guild(it will take a few days for you to learn the fights). If it's Story mode, then idgaf and anyone is fine.
  12. im guessing a new op will launch May 2016 earliest. Until then, have fun recycling through old ops.
  13. currently, dps checks aren't very tight(esp with 204 mainhands and no nim for current tier ops), so there isn't much point for tanks to put on more dps gear, unless your raid group dps is really bad. In terms of threat generation, with 2 tanks and threat dumps, holding threat should be no problem at all if youre doing your threat rotation correctly either. Hence, i don't see much point in making a hybrid tank/dps, unless maybe you are selling runs and undermanning, where the extra dps can be somewhat useful, and heal checks for nim 55 ops aren't very hard either. Otherwise, id take the extra def/absorb from tank relics anyday.
  14. are tactical fp's in endgame more popular than sm operations? i hardly doubt that. I think quite alot of people enjoy the trinity system, and its very much possible to have a social experience, experience new content and have laughs with friends/guildies with the system.
  15. as topic stated, how much crit should i run for DF spec? This is for pve btw. Would like to know optimal figure with BiS 198 gear(probs not going to get 204 mh as this is just an alt). Am running 763 accuracy, 489 crit, 360 surge, 120 alac atm and parse 4.5 - 4.6k on DF - still have 3 BiS mods to go and using a resurrected earpiece. I'm not too interested in parsing build, would prefer a build thats good for revan kill where theres alot of downtime in the fight. Thanks
