  1. the fix they did was fine. it's basically only a handful of people who keep bumping threads and keep making new threads about it. resources should never come from a slot machine, the end.
  2. pretty much totally incorrect information so far. first of all an in game message or in game mail is not an email second of all the FCC has authority in this country, not other countries and third it's not possible for them to steal your credit card info since everyone uses paypal.
  3. musco's post said they were looking into changing it and they did you guys just want your easymode free mats back. its not going to happen. they fixed it, accept it
  4. they fixed the broken slot machines. if they never fixed them the prices would have ended up around 3k each
  5. i like putting time and effort into something like crafting and resource gathering. that way i know the end result will have value. if its simple clicking an item in my stronghold it wont have value.
  6. it takes time and effort and credits to log into multiple characters and send them to craft or gather materials. not to mention building up the skills and maxing out their affection and leveleing multiple characters.
  7. i gotta say this sentence made me laugh so hard. there is nothing "INTERACTIVE" about it. so basically right clicking a machine every 5 seconds is fun? well no you then told us the fix made it so that it is not fun so the truth is you just want free easymode mats for no work and no crewskills involved.
  8. nope, people with macro programs were abusing it 24/7 on multiple accounts. i saw on other websites people brag about having vaults and vaults full of grade 11 mats from the slot machine. now imagine a crafter who ran crewskills and now that stupid machine made his mats worth a hell of a lot less and made it worthless to run missions.
  9. if someone can buy and resell at a higher price then by definition it was underpriced
  10. exactly right it's pretty draining to try and read such ignorant ramblings of the op. takes forever to get to the point and it's not based in any proper knowledge of free market economics.
  11. the developers corrected the slot machines because they were screwing over crewskills in the game and making them worthless
  12. sounds like most of you guys who are for the easymode mats from slot machines are basically socialists who can't stand someone else providing a service for a profit. you are jealous beyond belief but you won't do the work necessary to achieve the same goals in game.
  13. you're the one crying for easymode mats from a slot machine. bypassing the entire crafting and crewskill system as it was designed for years
  14. no, that would make mats far too common and worthless. the whole point of it being hard to get is to make it meaningful and profitable
  15. crew missions are awesome for getting purples. your sample size is far too small to make a judgement on. many have documented their result over hundreds and thousands of times and show that the crit rate is correct if you have max affection on your companion then the crit rate is 20% plus whatever crit rate the companion has. this means around 80% chance it doesn't crit. when i flip a coin it has a 50% chance of landing on heads but its possible to get heads 10 times in a row. flip it 10,000 times and the times it comes up heads would be very close to 5000 times. i can't flip a coin twice and get heads both times and then claim its broken.
  16. getting real tired of all the entitlement kids wanting free stuff and trying to ruin crewskills and craft skills after the slot machine disaster if you want mats then learn crewskills and run missions. otherwise buy it off the gtn from others
  17. they should have removed all jawa junk type items from the slot machine. you should be glad it gives any at all. the slot machine was a poorly thought out item which should never have given access to crafting mats and it did make crewskills worthless. if you don't like the price of mats then level the crewskills and run the missions yourself
  18. after the NGE they lost more than half of their subscribers within a couple months. those are the facts. smedley admitted it was a huge mistake.
  19. and they made jedi a starter profession whereas before it took months of work basically it made the game a lot easier and dumbed down and really messed up the crafting system. the end result = more than half of the subscibers quit and never came back. so you see dumbing down the game and making it easy with something like the slot machine will actually cost the game subscribers.
  20. one of the big changes with the NGE was they made it so that items lasted forever which really killed a lot of the crafting. before the NGE the crafting system was awesome and items decayed with use and eventually needed to be replaced. this created a vibrant economy and crafting system. crafters were constantly needed and players could sell craft related loot and resources to the crafters.
  21. it's not about the number of people complaining. you have to form persuasive arguments. the crafters had persuasive arguments about how it was ruining crewskills and craft skills and resource prices. the truth isn't determined by how many people believe in a thing. it never should have been in the game in the first place. your problem is that it's just not possible to create a persuasive argument that they should allow in game a slot machine that gives you tons of easy mats at super fast speeds which ruins every crewskill and crafting skill in the game and is easily macro'd 24/7. even if they reduced it to 10% of what it originally gave it would still be macro'd 24/7 and make crewskills obsolete many people had created many many characters with max affection and max crafting and crewskills and they were totally screwed by this ridiculous machine.
  22. yes they fixed it. crafting isn't supposed to have anything to do with a slot machine.
  23. the NGE was a dumbing down of the game and the crafting system. this is exactly what the slot machine was. SWG NGE = SWTOR Slot Machine giving out free rare mats the difference is in this game the crafters and crewskill people explained how terrible it was for the economy and crafting and crewskills and the dev's realized the huge problem and then they applied a fix to correct it.
  24. it applies to all crafting it does not apply to gathering or mission crewskills
