I have been playing Lightning Sorc during SoR progress (HC 8/10, Cora P3, then I quit) and played Pyrotech Merc during the DM content in NiM (6/10), so it's not a learning issue. It is a min-maxing, "can I get the same output with the same effort" and "will I drag my group down by choice of class" kind of thing. And since Lightning Sorc is one of the speccs I always loved playing and my Sorc remains to this day amongst my favorite 2-3 toons, it would be a pity to not rely on it for balancing reasons. I also have been playing Warlock, Shadow and MM hunter in WoW for various high end progression tiers.

After seeing numerous posts on Dulfy, TORCommunity, Discord and here I realized the specc I have been maining during my SoR progression time has been nerfed so hard it's utterly useless now and cannot compete in the slightest with a competent DPS on basically every other class. I never enjoyed Madness that much, but it's also down there. So, apart from abusing some elusive chain lightning procc that appears more often than it should, I can basically lay my sorceress to rest again, after reinstating her for 2 days?

Hello Folks, I recently swapped my mains, which is now a sniper. We are currently progressing at Brontes (last phase) and Bestia (around 8th or 9th monster) and I mostly play engineering. I wanted to ask you guys a) if its wise to play engineering in those encounters b) if yes, how do you play them exactly, rotationwise, burst or aoe wise c) if not, is hybrid or MM or lethality more successful (I don't have 4 piece set yet)? I currently play engineering like this: electrified railgun at 3 stacks > plasma probe > interrogation probe > explosive probe > covered escape > series of shots > corrosive dart > orbital strike > snipe

Well I know the thing with alacrity but the same problem occurs to me when I have: 0% alacrity in my specc 2% alacrity (Tier6 talent with reduced VH CD) 4% alacrity (+Tier 1) And I don't have a single point in alacrity rating. This never happened to me before 2.10 (or 2.9?). My latency is at ~43 ms average for those of you which are interested.

Hello folks, since 2.10 my PPA rate suddenly started dropping drastically. What I mean by this is, that I have to use 2 Powershots after my internal CD is ready again most of the time. Since Railshot CD is 15s and it should be at 9 when I can procc it again, this results in my RS CD being at 7-6 when I am finally able to procc it. This again results in serious heat problems. Our last Grob thok run had 2 situations where I used powershot up until 2s before it was already off cooldown. I know the tooltip says 45% chance but honestly, it was at 80-90% all the time and otherwise you can't keep up with other classes heatwise by using rapid shots to regulate that. I never had to. Now, completely indepent how much alacrity I take in my specc, I have to use 2 powershots atleast to trigger PPA, seldomly (meaning 30% of the time) it goes off directly. I didn't encounter this before and I am pyrotech player mostly. My DPS significantly dropped since maybe 1-2 weeks. When I didn't have full 180 gear, I was able to dummy parse to up to 3700-3750dps, now, with 2 186' token and 186' offhand barrel and more stats in everything (more surge, more AP) I can barely hit 3900. Anyone having the same problem? Any help?
