  1. I left a while back, not out of dislike for the game, I honestly love it, I just had other things going on. I'm probably going to be playing again, but I was wondering somethings. 1. How active is it? 2. Do we know what the future holds at all? Has BioWare said anything about continuing it for X amount of years or anything? 3. How often is the game updated still? Thanks!
  2. I was not baiting anyone. I was asking a question. You are choosing to ignore my reasoning, and plainly laid-out explanation of why I asked where I did. That is on you, not me. So be angry about it, join the mob. I already got my answer, which ironic to your anger, is that no, the game is not dead. Which is great news! I'll be on my way now, be sure to put your pitchforks away when you're done.
  3. I apologize for my word choice, I've clearly offended some people. Glad to see the community isn't any less toxic than two years ago. At least that hasn't died down. The game can't have much longer if every new player with a question is greeted with "GET A ROPE!"
  4. Okay I explained my reasoning, and I wasn't trying to bait anyone. I never asked if the game was dead, I just asked if the content output was slowed, as a friend had told me it was. If the game was dead, it would be pretty apparent, and there'd be need to ask anything. And I wasn't aware of "the usual" anything. As I said, I've been gone for some time. I didn't ask on reddit or somewhere else because anyone, even people no longer playing, who haven't for years, can answer. I was looking for firsthand accounts. And I got the answer on page 1, which is, no, the game is not dwindling, but the next year will be telling. There's no conspiracy to troll here, I was just asking a question, christ.
  5. Okay this entire post seems needlessly confrontational, but let me break it down one piece at a time. 1. Why did I return? Because it's 15 dollars to try it again for a month, and even if the game is dying, it definitely still has a month's worth of content that I can enjoy. So either way, it's no big loss. 2. I don't insist on believing those things. Why would I have asked if I insist on believing them? I didn't even respond to any of these posts, disregarding them in favor of believing what I had heard. So that part just doesn't make any sense. 3. If you're response is just to tell me "don't worry about it and play", then I'm confused by your presence on this thread. It was a pretty innocent question, and the hostility is completely unwarranted.
  6. I've heard some troubling things about swtor as of late. Is it true it's on its last legs? I heard that they basically have stopped new content, and have no expansions planned. That would be a massive bummer, but I'd like to know now, before I get too invested.
  7. Follow up question then, if I may. Is it horrible to play sawbones in solo content?
  8. So overall at least, DPS don't get shafted too bad? Like in WoW, basically any group content you queue for a DPS, you're waiting 20 minutes MINIMUM. And that's literally ANY group content. It's not that bad here?
  9. Do roles affect queue times in this game? I've never really gotten into group content, but from what I've seen, most people do the type of flashpoint that has no actual roles. Is that true? Like if I role a pure DPS, will I be in queues all the live long day? Or can I reasonably get all content done without waiting forever as a gunslinger?
  10. Ah, well that's irritating. I'm just coming back from a long break and checked the other day, and yeah it had 700 hours. I guess I should read the dev tracker and not go by anything in-game.
  11. I am a subscriber but I made a Jedi shadow hoping to level him fast and I appear to not have the XP bonus. Any reason for this that someone knows of?
  12. I just updated my radeon software, and immediately after, I've been getting super annoying screen tearing. It's very short, but constant. The screen freezes for probably about a half a second at a time, but it's at all times, and it's irritating. I can't figure out how to fix this. Anyone know?
