  1. I hope not, because this one isn't very good, and I'd hate to see the idea of a Star Wars MMO go out on this note.
  2. These are just CGI renders, Not very good ones, at that. I'm at a loss as to how you could have mistaken these for actual photographs.
  3. I have watched it. I haven't watched all of it. I don't need to watch all of it.
  4. I don't need to subject myself to every episode of a mediocre television show to know that it is mediocre. I'm a writer by trade, and I understand poor writing. Evidently you do not, but I won't hold that against you. If by "everyone else" you are referring to the show's target audience, well -- that target audience is children and tweens. Not exactly an age bracket known for their refined taste in entertainment or appreciation for good writing.
  5. Yeah, you definitely sound like a 'blademaster' and not a tweenager.
  6. I've seen a couple episodes featuring him. However "awesome" he is is besides the point, I don't believe in bringing characters back from the dead, it trivializes everything that happened to them prior. It's ****** writing and a blatant gimmick. One that worked for you, apparently.
  7. Flying mounts were a lot more detrimental to WoW than people realize, and it's a problem the devs are aware of. They've stated multiple times in blue posts they wish they had gone about flying mounts in a different way, because they've made world pvp a non-thing and made the world much smaller overall. SWTOR has a much smaller gameworld than WoW, and the zones are designed in a manner completely non conducive to flying mounts. Not to mention World PVP already barely exists in SWTOR. Besides, flying mounts aren't really a "thing" in Star Wars. You see plenty of low-flying vehicles like speederbikes and landspeeders, which we already have. They just need to make them faster.
  8. You say that like Maul coming back was a good thing and anything more than a gimmick for 13 year olds.
  9. No, I understand that they had a reason for filming that scene that way, but it didn't translate onto the screen. Th in-universe explanation doesn't justify the terrible choreography nor excuse the terrible idea to begin with.
  10. I'm just giving OP a hard time for the Galactic Empress nonsense.
  11. ITT: 13 year olds whining o man samuel L. jedi so kewl LETS TROW STORYTELING OUT DA WINDER CUZ HE SO KEWL
  12. What? Just making sure this is preserved for posterity. Your understanding of the franchise is so astoundingly skewed I'm at a loss for words. Kids like you are the ones who are ruining everything about a franchise I've grown up with and loved. I'm sure you think TFU and Starkiller are the height of storytelling as well, given just how cool it all looks. Clearly I'm wasting my time trying to make a point in an argument with a 14 year old (either physically or mentally, it's all the same), so I'm going to abstain from any further comment on the subject.
  13. None of the reasons provided by the devs, whether it be romance, expressions, relatability, etc. are any excuse given the number of perfectly plausible races that fall within those standards. Chagrians, Togruta, Devaronians, Mon Calamari, Duros, Bothans...all perfectly doable. It's sheer laziness, IMO, plain and simple. Well, not laziness -- but cutting corners. Taking the easy road. All of the current races use the same exact selection of heads and textures, just with different decals or fixtures applied on top of the base. The only race with unique faces is the Pureblood; every other race shares the same selection, some of them even lacking several. They were able to quickly copy and paste the races together to save time and money and especially effort. And it shows, badly.
  14. Not only is this weaboo garbage but the OP has seriously misunderstood her history. Jaina Solo, Galactic Empress...lol. Maybe in your idolized fanfic dreams, OP.
  15. You tried to, anyway, and failed. There is no logical reason in-universe or otherwise for them to stand a foot apart and spin their lightsabers around uselessly. It's pointless eye candy. The over-choreographing completely ruined the Obi/Ani duel. What a travesty.
  16. This is the wrong forum section for this thread. Also, get over it.
  17. Hey, it's not like Dark Age of Camelot was released with a /hood toggle. Back in 2001. 12 gotdamn years ago.
  18. This is, of course, a completely moot point in space.
  19. Won't find any disagreement here. The cartoon bringing Maul back is frankly a travesty, the sort of gimmick that 13 year old kids love. And lo and behold, the 13 year old target audience is eating that literal **** up. Not only did they give him a freaking brother, but his brother is named Savage. Effing Savage. Savage Opress[ion]. It's like they're not even trying anymore. I fully expect the next big villain to be named LORD MADDIUS ANGRY.
  20. If a movie depends on the viewer throwing away logic and reason to stand on its own two feet, it is not a good movie. Suspension of disbelief =/= suspension of common sense.
  21. This is the stupidest thread I've read all morning. OP, you are an idiot. I weep quiet tears for your parents and the **** they must put up with.
  22. Yeah, no. The guy's name is Palpatine. Sidious was his given Sith name. That's why he was Emperor Palpatine, and not Emperor Sidious. **** you.
