  1. Er actually it is YOUR*....YOU'RE would be an abbreviation of YOU ARE, therefore the sentence would read, 'that is YOU ARE opinion'.....which is of course wrong....If you are going to troll with the grammar police...at least get it right lol.......nothing else to see here...move along :)

It's not an abbreviation of "you are." It's a contraction of "you are." Grammar police either need to--

    1. Have a few beers

    2. Read some Noam Chomsky

    3. Learn grammar

  2. This may be the 12 pack of Busch pounders talking, but why give out rewards for world pvp (beyond wzs)? More, why no give bonuses for players facing imbalances in terms of numbers? Maybe a reward (Comms) called, "Never tell me the odds" for players with balls enough to just pvp without all of the crying. Not huge rewards mind you, but enough to get people to mix it up.
  3. The OP's post is generally whining. My goodness, is it really that big of a deal? If you want an edge, then earn it. The buffs are a way to encourage players to try other classes. Datacron are merely way to explore each world with friends. Ugggghhhh, if this opinion is a representation of the community ... so help me ...
  4. Read the rest of the post - but no playing in recruit gear is does not teach you anything valuable.

How about they just take away recruit gear and have you grind up to BM? Would that make you happy?

  5. The OP might as well tell us that boxing involves getting punched a lot.

Astute observation, kudos. You get punched enough, you learn how not to get punched. Crying about it doesn't change anything.

  6. Playing with recruit gear is not playing. You can't compete until you get augmented BM. Playing with recruit gear is killing time.

Really? That is kind of a bogus argument. Recruit gear is fine for what it is. How hard is it to get BM or WH? Not too difficult. Just play the game.

  7. i'd say, there's nothing wrong with dying, if there's a good REASON for you dying.

it's like this person in this thread. 15-20 minutes without a badge? i can guarantee you he died a lot - and that's certainly NOT what pvp is all about.

I don't I have ever seen someone NOT get a badge. But that is moot. My point is that there is nothing wrong with dying as long as you learn. Too many people complain, blame or whatever .... That said, for leet jokers out there, I wish there was a way for you to get your rocks off while leaving everyone else alone. Because quite frankly you come-off d***s. Maybe an ELITE WZ? Even better an elite warzone that causes perma-death ... yeeeeeeaaaaaahhhhh ... 2 man enter, 1 man leave.

  8. There is somethign wrong with dying in pvp. If you die a lot, it generally means you suck. And sucky people make me lose matches.

If you want to die, do it in pre-50 pvp. Don't turn 50 and lose the team a match because you suck and can't manage your cooldowns.

Wow you just proved my point. Thanks for whippin' it out there, Chief. Ever try yoga? I mean it might help you to relax.

  9. No, PvP INVOLVES dying over and over. Successful PvP actually involves dying as little as possible. Dead people can neither defend nor attack objectives. Superficial argument.

Whoa Sherlock Holmes solved the mystery of PVP success, kudos. The point is there is nothing wrong with dying in pvp as you learn the game. I am more suspicious of the jagoffs who claim they don't or the ones who like to whip it out on forums to prove their self-worth (sad, because this is a game). Maybe it is a generational thing, I dunno. You learn from failure and there is nothing superficial about that.

  10. I like to think PvP is about using my commando to spray green beams of love all about the warzone, but, to each his own :p

Oh I have been loved a lot ... over, and over. That is my point. :p This game is about LOVE. Lot's of LOVE.

  11. I see a lot of post from people complaining about the recruit gear system or OP classes. News flash! PVP is about dying, over and over. The net effects of dying is learning to play your class (and earning some sweet BM or WH gear). Trust me, after 1000 deaths in WZs, you'll learn to become a better player. For instance, I have a full WH Sith Sorcerer. The class is a friggin glass cannon; however, if you are wily (like me) you'll learn to pick your battles and survive.

Bottom-line: Stop crying and start playing.

  12. First, people were complaining about too much demand, so they added a TON of servers.

A few months pass and demand drops, so people QQ about low server populations.

(I am not forgetting about the impact of 1.2)

Then Bioware answers the collective lament of the community and conducts char transfers.

Now people are qq'ing about too much demand.

That's it Bob, tell Midge that I love her ... Game over.

  13. So increase the cooldown to over 5 mins. and nerf the "Force push" or whatever ability the hybrid character might get. Not a difficult problem to solve, if it was a problem. You people always tend to overestimate the balance issue.. Probably been playing too many Blizzard games. Blizzard is good at fooling their customers into believing it's only balance issues to save themselves from having to be creative and add new/fun gameplay features lol.

You should have played Star Wars Galaxies. Talk about a cluster-f of skills. I am all for choice but over-hybridization of classes can lead to massive balance issues (e.g. 1 or 2 uberspecs). TKM, Fencer anyone? CM and Pike?

  14. Newton's First Law:

Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it.

This is a physical law, and Bioware has violated it in the most horrific way.

Here is a test: go to a lift in game getting ready to move down, once it starts moving jump up and see what happens.

You stay in the same place and actually move up from the point of the jump while the elevator falls out beneath you. This has cost me many a repair bill!

IT DOES NOT WORK THIS WAY!!! When your in an elevator in real life and jump up you dont suddenly smash against the roof.

If your in a plane traveling at 500 mph and you jump in the aisle do you wind up smashing out the tail of the plane?

NO! This is because of Newton's first law. The motion you are in because of the vehicle you are travelling in does not suddenly disappear because a small vector of force goes in the other direction.

The only way Bioware's version of physics could possibly work is if when we jump we some how convert into a light wave travelling at C.

Really, needing to appeal to special relativity and magical mass energy conversations to RETCON this horrible physics is just absurd.

    I demand a fix.

Ever try to bend light into a finite beam? How do lightsabers do this without gravity? Gaw. This game sooo dumb.

  15. Hobbies definitely start blurring the line into obsession/addiction pretty fast when you start spending that much time on them. It is in no modern MMO's interest to cater to people playing 80 hours a week. For that matter it is in no person's best interest to game for 80 hours a week. Learn a realistic definition of "hobby", and possibly some social responsibility on the side, and you will be a much happier person.

Yeah he is more in the realm of avocation, not "hobby." Imagine if he could harness his energy into say something like cancer research. Cancer would be cured in like 3 weeks once he finishes leveling to 50 on advance oncology research.

  16. These things need to happen by the end of march,

    LFG tool,

    merge low pop servers

    fix all the raid bugs,

make some sort of effort to fix the multitude of random bugs in the world

change the maintanace time to middle of the night

Seriously i can't get 2 datacrons because i'm big?? are you for real?

Why end of march because thats when my sub runs out, yep i am giving this a good run 4 months. I am half way through my second toon and just like my first lv50 have managed about 3 fp's, and a handful of planet heroics. It still feels like a single player game to me. And what raiding there is is painfully buggy.

The amount of money you spent on this and the result do not add up, and sadly i think that will be your epitaph.

That's the spirit. Give em an ultimatum! Tell them you are not going to take it anymore! Give em hell! Meanwhile, I'll be playing the game.

  17. SWG had a bugged quested called "Hero of Tattooine." Picture searching 100 square mile desert for an NPC that randomly walks in circles. This was OK when the game had the Ranger class (you could use the search feature), but after NGE no dice. Took days and sometimes weeks to find him (sadly, the quest broke and there were a few people who searched and searched. They are all in a mental hospital now).
  18. I understand the frustration, I understand there are bugs. But every game has them. Am I in the minority? All these posts by people saying they're unsubbing.... Its making my brain hurt. You cant expect perfection in any MMO that was just released. I played WOW at launch. It had bugs too. Anyone remember the corrupted blood incident? So I ask this. Am I in the minority or is everyone that likes the game too busy playing and leaving the forums filled with people that whether genuinely unsubbed or are just trolling?

Is there something wrong with me that I genuinely love this game?

I can't imagine even 1.1 leading people to unsubscribe unless they just wanted to play for a month.

No you are not in the minority. This fourm is a classic example of the "Spiral of Effects" theory. A minority voice takes over the majority voice (by being more vocal). The result is an effect that changes the perception of the majority to believe that the minority voice is actually the majority voice. This principle was used by the National Socialists to conquer Germany through nationalist propaganda.

So in a very loose way ... WOWers are like fascists ... self-satisfied, spoiled little fascists, who hate freedom and more importantly, America, mom, delicious apple pie, and TOR.

  19. To make Republic and Imperial fleets as the main "capital" for markets and looking for groups.

You got a game which can show some impressive looking city's look for example at Corellia which is a pretty good looking city.

You could have made several city's the main city, for example Dromund Kaas for the empire and allow the other factions to visit those capitals to improve world pvp.

However for some reason someone at Bioware found it would be a good idea to keep people in their little capital completely save from any form of world pvp.

This is also the case on a pvp server.

    So my question would be:

Why was the decision made to make closed city's that arent accesable by the other faction unlike other succesfull mmo's where other city's could just be visisted.

As like in Warhammer and World of Warcraft.

It was my idea. Can you believe that I have seen a dime from it?
