  1. I tried searching for this thread and I only found one similar one that didn't seem to fit the bill. Or maybe I just suck at using the search function. Either way, this little inconsistency bugs me in a big way, and I think it bugs other people as well. I think it should have a high priority because it's so obvious, and intrusive. I literally hate having my companions out because of it and it keeps me from liking them around as much as I should. Thanks in advance, Josie
  2. First off I want to thank you for your constructive responses. Most threads like these are full of spam or trolling and so far that doesn't seem to be the case though at some point in this thread I'm sure that will change. Though I understand where you are coming from, and I'm not saying your wrong, history has shown us that all manner of speculation is worthless for the most part, including my own, and many times before this community, and communities else where, we are consistently wrong which leaves us with the following: What does the future hold? Bioware and other companies a like, some more than others listen to their base. As they should indeed. If all of a sudden people started flocking here, why wouldn't they change course? It wouldn't be that different from what they already did many times in the past. I have heard "We're not going to do this" to many times before "hey you know what?" Where we disagree is 1 & 2, I honestly feel it's irrelevant, I think there is way more than enough headway to work there. Which, in my opinion leaves us only with three. So okay it's hard and takes man power, but if you had a boost, why not ride the wave? I do that for a living, not literally but you get it, or probably not cause I'm a huge nerd <snorts> As far as the mechanics, plenty of abilities are disabled already during pvp why not those? That would save a lot fo work there as well. Better yet, create a buff or ability meant to offset a long term cc specifically for your class ot race? Maybe some trick they can do to recover and punch through if they survive. Some digital hacker stuff maybe, mass cc, you know, wtvr. lol ;P The truth is, we can sit there and make excuses for SWTOR and Bioware all day, I know I do, but if they increased their profits, why not do things like that to make us all happy and bring in even more new players? At the of the day, it's really all just a business/capital decision, not anything you mentioned. One more point as far as the slow development and reluctance by the devs here, it's not all their fault. Like so many things nerd I think this was a victim of its own franchise, people expected to much and put SWTOR between a rock and hard place. But it looks like they have a chance to squirm out and come on top. Like everything else, it's all about money.
  3. Yeah but who said 1 & 2 has to apply? WoW did something similar with much less storyline content for hero type classes starting at later levels in this case lvl60? Or maybe by then 70 or above. Maybe even starting from a higher level their is another type of romance called loyalty, when bonding with humanoids. You can phase that in to the new content coming in the future, you don't have to go back and rewrite everything. Whats the big deal about being limited to four classes, and one exclusive to cyborgs and bots? Not really seeing why it would be a problem other than them saying no we wont do it. Which might change as the business grows, which actually might be a possibility now that things have changed and we have the movies. I just think it would be stupid to pass that up. Besides WoW is on the losing end right now for sure, how many would you pick up then?
  4. I know that classes are an issue, people cry about it all the time and I'm one of them lol. But why not at least a droid race? As far as race is that because of lore? I refuse to believe that droids aren't capable of a lot, and even if they can't use force they can have those other non force classes available. Besides droids look really cool and they are a huge part of the lore throughout, it just doesn't make sense to not be able to play one. On the note, why not add a class only available to droids or cyborgs? Doing things like weapons hacking and commanding other tiny droids for example. So droids can be smugglers, soldiers, and bot masters/techs, hell why not even heals. Limitless I tell you its Star Wars! You can even choose a race, to become a cyborg what!!!! <mind explodes> I'll leave you with the big dream and probably won't be possible even if the above did happen. But you never know so....How awesome would it be to play R2D2? Mage tech robots from the old school RPG! <drool> But like I said the above should not be crazy, I think it's possible since business is picking up guys and gals now's the time to do it.
