  1. Playing anything without stealth is like fight with tooth and tail to survive. Playing Slinger', it's fun (sometimes) to line of sight your enemies and 'take the tour' of the arena before you die. But, it's just extremely irritating most of the time when you get Assassins and Marauders low just to have them stealth out, which is fine. But then you catch up to them 30 seconds later and they just stealth out... again and appear across the map 10 seconds later.
  2. Piggybacking off of the thread BioWare created during the lead up to 6.0, I want to see some fun tacticals for every class (or some tacticals that are for all classes). I thought it would be pretty fun to see the creativity of some of the forum-goers.

     

    An example tactical would be:

     

    Again and Again (Saboteur/Engineering Tactical)

    XS Freighter Flyby marks a random target in it's area of effect with "Tagged" that lasts 4 seconds. After "Tagged" expires, another XS Freighter Flyby will drop on the target.

    "I want to see another Taris!" - a battlefield arsonist.

    Revan's Teachings (General Tactical)

    Cleansing a damage over time debuff will reapply itself to the cleanser and the 2 targets closest to them. The reapplied damage over time debuff has it's damage increased by 50% for it's duration.

    "Stop cleansing yourself!" - advice from a healer during the raid on the Temple of Sacrifice.

    Who Needs A Blaster? (Scoundrel/Operative Tactical)

    When you have no mainhand weapon equipped, allows the use of Scamper, Defense Screen, Dodge, Pugnacity, Back Blast, Tendon Blast, Hot Streak, Kolto Pack, and Trick Move. Legacy Unarmed combat abilities do 5% more damage.

    "Some laugh at the thought... but let's see them laugh now"

    Scavenged Rakata Tech (Gunslinger/Sniper Tactical)

    Hideout no longer marks your location, instead it teleports you to a random location 12 meters from where you stand.

    Using the basic lightsaber attack knocks back the target.

  3. They are going in order, they are just skipping season 3 rewards for some odd reason. Your trying to make sense of this just like everybody else but the reality is that they are not ever going to release season 3 rewards again which is a pro blem because they didnt clarify that in article you linked. The whole idea of releasing replicas was that newer players would be able to receive older rewards in order to compensate for the lack of resources diverted to pvp and the game in general. I want to know the reason as to why they are not releasing those rewards and why they didnt notify the community earlier. Not that it even matters because most people will move onto another game this fall once the new releases are announced but still.

     

    Any 5 year old that understands how patterns work see that Season 3 rewards would come next, but nothing in that post says that they were going to release them in order.

Yea I’m no longer supporting a company that treats their consumers like that, it’s like ordering from a Resturant, ordering a steak, waiting for the steak and when the food finally gets there, you get eggs and toast. Then you ask what happened to the steak I paid 40 dollars for and they just ignore you or answer a question completely irrelevant to the main problem. poorly managed and they treat their consumers terribly.

     

    To be fair, this isn’t a good analogy. It would be if BioWare promised Season 3 rewards with Season 12. I understand why people are angry about it, their anger isn’t unjustified, but they lead themselves on.

  5. Scoundrels ‘topping themselves off with heals’ is a gross exaggeration. Under any sort of pressure those 2 HoTs and the occasional me space isn’t going to save you from anything unless you’re doing such horrible DPS that those heals actually don’t make a dent in their health. And if that’s the case, then it’s a ‘learn to play’ problem.

     

    For reference: Kolto Pack heals for about 22k (IF you crit), Kolto Pack about 7.7k (Crit). I can spam Benevolence on a Sage or Medical Probe on a Commando and do more due it being a spammable.

     

    Dodge, Defense Screen and Scamper are the three major defenses on a Scoundrel, and one of them sucks (Defense Screen), another has a decently long CD (Dodge), and the last can only be called a defense in one spec (Scrapper).

     

    Scoundrel self-healing was already nerfed with the removal of Underworld Medicine, the HoT removal of Kolto Pack (placed into a utility), and if I remember correctly the main heal of Kolto Pack was also decreased.

     

    Nerf:

    Reduce Roll immunity to 1.0 seconds from 1.5 seconds.

    Reduce healing from Kolto Infusion by x%.

     

    Buff:

    Increase Diagnostic Scan healing x% over the channel duration.

    Increase either Kolto Probe stacks to 3 or Kolto Probe healing by x%.

     

    I'm specifically targeting Concealment with these suggestions. I don't know how Medicine or Lethality would be affected.

     

    Diagnostic Scan is, in my opinion, a filler ability and that’s all. It was mainly meant for Sawbones but they couldn’t fit it in the skill tree without giving the adv. class a more powerful healing ability like Kolto Cloud or Emergency Medpack. That’s why it’s horrible and as soon as you become a Sawbones it becomes a hundred times better. Therefore I wouldn’t buff it.

  6. Remove Ranked Arenas and switch Ranked exclusively to Huttball. Take Huttball out of the regular queue since a lot of people seem to drop when they are surprised by a Huttball match. Not only are you fixing both a Ranked and Unranked complaint, but you no longer have to worry about balancing around 4v4 arenas - in fact, it would probably be the best thing for the game as a whole, period.

     

    If you really think about it, it's actually a brilliant idea if I don't say so myself. Really, though, if you dont find yourself immediately onboard with this idea - think of a way that makes it better, but within the parameters of "Ranked = Only Huttball" and "Unranked = Everything else" and let me know what that would look like, and I am confident you will then agree that this is the healthiest and smartest way to address the problem.

  7. Realistically, even the largest 'planet' in SWTOR is nowhere near the surface area of even the Moon, let alone a full earth-size planet. The entire gameplay area of Coruscant, for example, could be lost within just the confines New York City alone.

    Not to mention the fact that Yavin 4 is a moon, not a full planet.

     

    You can’t really say that fairly...

     

    You can’t compare a video game area to a real life location (in terms of size).

     

    You’re supposed to be playing near the temple and it’s surrounding area on Yavin IV, because we’re dealing with the Revanite threat in that area. It’s been like this in KOTOR 1 & 2 also.

     

    I’m all for new content on planets but don’t just add it for it just to be there.

    So let me see if I got this straight Bioware. You remove the commando stock strike ability known as blitz, because it sent the opponent flying backward. One guy, didnt even put them flat on there back, and it was only useable sometimes when you used cryo grenade.

     

    Years later you come out with a tact that does a cc on a heck of allot other players..... This is ok?

     

    Does the words you have no *********** clue what your doing meaning anything to you. You purge my troopers and bhs of abilities but you will put this in the game. Right......

     

    Well to be fair, you’re talking about an ability that was removed 7-8 years ago. Times change.

  9. Do not remove it, how do you want to play jugg without it ? It's useless, it's the only set that helps us to get another ed when it's a 4 dps game.

     

    You should just learn how to counter it.

     

    Perhaps you should explain how to counter it, instead of just saying counter it.

  10. As you said maul spam should not be a thing.

    On the otherside taking it away was taking burst damage away from the sin and i think that's the point you missed in my argumentation.

    Sins are should NOT be brawler classes like they currently are.

    Give them cooldown on maul but another 30% damage on some skills and sin would be a class that needs timing, has a decent opener again and needs a higher "skillcap" (if you can actually talk about this in swtor lol).

    Right now it feels like every ability hits around 20-40k and only a boosted maul might hit with 50-60k.

    That is pretty lame. Honestly isn't there a reason to do ball lightning or a voltaic slash? - Guess diffrence might be 10k...

    The whole playstyle is just lame AF without the opener.

    Like i said sin should not be a brawler but by name an assassin.

     

    It's just the name of the class. When you think of Assassin do you see them having a guard or being tanks? No.

  11. No, he does not have a point, any point. No, they're not rewarding too much. For ages Operations and Flashpoints as well as all group content had preferential treatment. It gave the best rewards, it yielded the most CXP, or EXP, or CQP or whatever. It was always those categories that got the most attention.

     

    Finally, finally things like heroics, dailies and planetary missions got some love as well. For years they have been neglected up until the point that you rarely saw people doing that type of content. You know how empty the dailies areas were? It took a bug a few years prior to get people to start doing the dailies again. The moment the bug was fixed (even though the CXP/Renown points rewards were raised after that) the dailies died down again. But now, with this new Conquest system, the daily areas, heroics and planetary missions are finally being played again. They're finally a viable way to play the game again, as they always should have been.

     

    Let people enjoy the content that they want to play. If you or Stradlin don't like to do planetary missions or dailies, then don't, ignore that content. But don't ruin it for other people by huffing and puffing that something other than group content finally got some love as well. Flashpoints, operations and PvP still yield massive rewards and Conquest points, I have seen and experienced it myself. Group content still remains a more than viable method to compete in Conquests, so you have to get over yourselves that the focus isn't solely on group content anymore. It's every part of the game that matters now and that's how it's supposed to be.

     

    PvP, Operations, and Flashpoints are group content, not even just group content but endgame group content. Heroics and dailies are solo content. That’s the reason why PvP, Operations and Flashpoints yield more rewards for doing them. Getting 3.8k Conquest from doing a random mission on a planet compared to getting 5k-8k from doing a HM Flashpoint is absurd. Isn’t Conquest supposed to be about you working together to accomplish objectives.

     

    I can get endgame rewards for not doing any group content (Conquest rewards), its crazy.

     

    I’m not saying that Heroics/Dailies shouldn’t offer Conquest points but the current rate compared to doing group content is insane.

  12. Shadows/Assassins are okay now. They can still take a decent amount of health off people and double cloak is still strong.

     

    Their burst was basically instantaneous which made it hard to counter. Scoundrel and VG were somewhat counter-able if you paid attention to them.

  13. Immobilize, immobilize, immobilize. If you have it - trauma, trauma, trauma.

     

    Defense Screen in 6.0 gets broken by just about everything. Dodge has a long CD. Rolling and self-healing are the only solid defenses Scoundrels have. If they removed self-healing or nerf it then that’s like 1/3 of their defenses neutered.

     

    Imagine if Scoundrels still had Underworld Medicine as DPS.
