  1. Honestly the real problem with this server is the amount of people running around wearing Thexan's Robes or whatever they are called. It is a very real and serious issue, worse than when the Havoc Squad armor came out.
  2. Unfortunately both of you are right in this case. It seems I forgot to put that in. As most of you can probably tell, this thread has been staying mostly in line with the rules of old server and world leaderboards. In keeping with this trend, grenades are not allowed, that being said, I did make a mistake by forgetting to include this, apologies. I try to update it about once a week, sometimes this ends up being much later in the week depending on how busy I get. This week was a good example, and I will be working to update things as soon as I am done with this post. Again, my apologies to everyone for forgetting to include the rule against grenades, I will be correcting this shortly.
  3. Yes, it was indeed posted before I switched the thread over to Parsely however, both parses did not conform to the rules for submitting at the time. At the time, the rules called for you to upload your parse to TORparse. The links you submitted were links to screenshots. While those are some very nice parses, I could not, and can not accept them. Keeping this thread and its rankings fair is one of my top priorities, to accept your submission while requiring others to upload to TORparse (which at the time was a pain) would be unethical and hurt the integrity of the thread. I am sorry that your log files for these parses have become buried, however, should you find them, please feel free to upload them in the appropriate manner and I will more than gladly accept them and process them accordingly.
  4. Right there with you, hope you do get some gear, because while I do like seeing my numbers, I'd much rather see any Marauder topple those pesky IO Mercs. On that note why stop at 5k? Go for gold.
  5. Updated the rankings. If there are any errors let me know. Ros-tam, don't get too cozy up there, I am determined to beat you. Also have a question for everyone. The rules state no pre-proc'ing, and I think it is important to keep it as such because it does not allow for people to gain proc's that can only be gained during combat, i.e. Annihilator and Juyo stacks. However there are a couple classes that are able to pre-proc by using abilities without entering combat. In particular I am talking about Powertechs/Vangaurds and Sins/Shadows. For the PT and its mirror, they are able to use their AOE ability to build stacks for their flame thrower, and Sins are able to use Lacerate to build Voltage and Induction stacks without entering combat. My question for you is, should this be allowed? There is an argument that it should be since it could be considered normal to do so before a boss pull, and therefore should be normal to do before a parse that is supposed to be representative of a boss fight and would fall into the same category of fury building for Maras. However, the argument can also be made that doing so is different than the Mara/Sent Fury/Centering(?) building because you must consume resource to do so, where as Maras/Sents do not. For now, both the PT/Vangaurd parses include this and I have accepted both as legitimate, but I would like to know everyone's opinion on the matter and will make changes once a consensus is reached.
  6. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I have been looking into Parsely for use in this thread. While I was very pleased with my initial encounter with the site, there were a few things I wanted to make sure of before I implemented its use, one of which being the site's permanence. After hearing back from the owner, I have learned that the site, at this time, will continue to be available and in the event of an address change, the old address and links to any parses will continue to work. This is very good news. When this thread was started, TORparse was really the only such site available at the time that offered similar features. Many of you, myself included, may have had reservations to its use due to the sites state of functionality. However, after much thought, I decided it still remained the best option for this thread as I believed what appeared to be the next best option (the use of a text file upload site) would deter many people from participating. With the emergence of Parsely, this thread now has a suitable avenue for submitting parses in a manner that is easy and accessible to all. With this in mind, I will be making some changes to the threads submission guidelines. Submissions prior to the coming update to this thread that have used TORparse, as was requested, will still be honored so long as they remain on the board. However, once I update the submission guidelines for the thread, any parses submitted using TORparse afterword will not be. For those of you unfamiliar yet with the new site we will be using for uploading parses, here is a link to Parsely so that you may familiarize yourself with it. In another note, game update 3.1 is almost upon us. The original post details that in the event of major class changes, rankings may be cleared in order that these leaderboards might remain a current representation of what an A.C. is capable of. With this in mind, I will be taking into account the changes of game update 3.1 and clearing rankings as needed. If you find that parses for an A.C. have not been cleared but believe they should be, please let me know and provide reason as to why. I look forward to seeing the progress made by everyone as we compete to parse higher and higher. For those of you pushing close to killing Revan and grabbing that 198 MH, try not to put us all to shame when you get one. Good luck everyone.
  7. Working to update the boards as of this moment, apologies for the delay, I have been busy this week. I see mention of Parsely, and I am looking into it. By the current looks of it, Parsely may prove a good option for this thread, however I still want to investigate it further as I am still finding difficulty viewing the logs themselves. I will let everyone know if I make any change to submitting guidelines. As another note, this update will switch rankings to be based upon TTK given by the combat log. Again apologies once again for the delay of update.
  8. Just a quick poll, Aelanis mentioned an old standard of using just calculated DPS from TTK. Would people rather see this method used, where I will use the TTK time down to 1/1000th of a second, or are you fine with how things are now? In either case, submission requirements will be the same, rules will be the same, the only difference will be the final numbers on the board.
  9. Just to clarify for everybody. Yes, I realize Torparse is not working correctly. It cant even calculate APM right now, or more importantly DPS from TTK. This is why I am using Torparse for one thing only. To grab your combat logs. Torparse allows me to view and copy your uploaded combat log, which I then put into a text file and open in a working parser. Using Torparse for this seemed to be much easier than dealing with a multitude of other sites for text file uploading. @Ayix case in point, everyone's DPS is different than their Torparse link. As for the reason I am using the parsec installed on my computer instead of just saying "well if everyone's' numbers are wrong in torparse, then we are all on the same page." is because torparse can have various wrong calculations for DPS. To use Spikor as an example, torparse reports him at around 4808. Simple math would tell us that a TTK of ~5:10 on a 1.5 mil health dummy should result in a DPS of around 4838.70968 (1,500,000 / 310). Because the parser installed on my computer calculates much closer to what simple math dictates, I use that. Just this one time, I will share the screenshots of some of the parses open in my parser to show that everyone is on the same judgment page. Ayix here is yours, Thalamir yours, and Spikor yours. Oh and before I forget @Gandolftheblack while I appreciate you submitting your parses here as well, please follow the guidelines for submission so that they may be counted. As you might see from the long post above, I have a very consistent method in which I do things.
  10. Finally time to throw my hat into the ring. Dreadlightyear - Annihilation Marauder - 5:17.74 ttk 4721 dps Torparse link/Parsec SS Gear: 180/186 old 2 piece, 192 new 4 piece. 162 Crit. 13 Overkill augs + 1 Accuracy aug. Everything else optimized pow/acc or pow/surge
  11. That is indeed a very nice parse, however, this thread is for 1.5 million health dummies which are more representative when DPS exceeds around 4.2k.
  12. I typically don't post, and prior to 3.0 especially not to parsing threads. I was late to start playing the game (around 2.4 maybe?) so my gear was always way behind norm making my parses sub-par. But with the release of 3.0 and a good raid team, as well as your thread which inspired me to restart one of these, I have decided to start sharing the results of my hours of parsing. That is until the public cries out for me to return to not posting at all .
  13. Well, I am hoping to bring it back. I honestly miss having what was basically a list of people to strive to beat. I know I personally have put in about 3 hours of parsing today but still haven't found one I am satisfied with posting.
  14. Holy Cow! Has it really been that long since we have had a well managed DPS leaderboard?
  15. Welcome to the DPS leaderboard for The Shadowlands! This thread will strictly be for tracking and measuring PvE DPS at level 60 on a 1.5 million HP dummy in the post-3.0 environment in a consistent manner. Please note that this leaderboard will be using a 1.5 million health dummy, as opposed to the 1 million health dummy we saw previous to the launch of 3.0. If you are curious as to why a 1.5 million health modifier is used, please consult this thread by KBN which convinced me to make it our standard. I will be doing my best to see that this leaderboard is updated frequently, and can promise to do a minimal weekly update for the time being. If a situation arises where this will no longer be feasible for me, I will do everything necessary to find someone to replace me in this role so that a leaderboard might continue. As a last remark before we get into the technical aspect of this thread, I want to wish everyone luck on their parsing and encourage those who may me off-put by the high numbers posted to give it a shot anyway and learn from others. Submitting a Parse: When submitting a parse, please do the following; Provide a Parsely link to your parse. Provide what AC/Spec you used Provide a brief description of your gear. I.e. 192 BiS running 0 crit. Provide your characters name. Thanks to the emergence of Parsely, this thread now has a suitable avenue for submitting threads. From 02/13/2015 onward, any parses linking to TORparse will no longer be accepted, though links posted before this date will still be honored. Rankings will be based off the TTK shown in Parsely link. Finally, regarding the submission of your parse to this thread, make sure that it conforms to the rules below, otherwise it will not be considered eligible for ranking. Rules: This PvE DPS leaderboard will be open to all player on The Shadowlands, and all players will be treated fairly. Any accusations against me for favoritism to a particular group of people are ridiculous and unfounded. Since I know none of you personally, I do not play favorites for anyone other than myself. However, if you do have concerns regarding favoritism, wish to contest the parse of another person, or any other issue with this thread, please feel free to PM me so that I may address the issues. Parse must be performed using the 1.5 million HP modifier. Submitted parse must not be cropped! Leave you parse uneddited in any way or have it ignored. If the parse you submit is not the final one in a log, please note that and direct to the correct parse if needed. Must be performed against the Operations Training Dummy Champion. For those new to parsing, yes your ship droid + 1.5 million health modifier fills this criteria. Must be performed without any external raid buffs other than your own. (e.g. Sents/Maras can use Inspiration/Bloodthirst, Sorcs may use Unlimited Power) Parse must be done by a character on The Shadowlands. If you transfer to another server with that toon, please let me know so that you may be removed without shame. You may (and are expected to) use the armor debuff dummy modification. You may use whatever stim you wish. You may use as many Inspirations/Bloodthirsts, adrenals and relics as you need to kill the dummy. Pre-parse proc'ing is not permitted (e.g. focus/rage building for knights/warriors). Note that this is very easy to detect in a log! Out-of-combat buffing is permitted (e.g. Sent/Mara Centering/Fury building, etc.) Parses done under Nightmare Pilgrim buff will not be considered. You may, and are expected to use full class buff. No use of grenades or Legacy abilities. Rankings: This thread will consist of multiple categories to accommodate all classes on the server. In addition to an overall top 10 category, the thread will also have a category for each pair of mirroring Advanced Classes. An individual player is permitted to have one parse in each of the AC categories if they are so able, but no more. Please note that for the overall leaderboard an individual player may hold multiple rankings, so long as the ranking parses do not amount to be more than 1 entry for each advanced class. As another note, due to the relatively volatile environment of the game post-3.0 in which classes are highly susceptible to change, I will do my best to clear rankings for AC's as changes are made to them. If I feel that an individual patch significantly changes the DPS environment as a whole, I will clear all rankings. As a final note before the leaderboards, I will not be handling an "Honorable Mention" category. Overall Leaderboard 1.Terlin - Sorcerer - Lightning - 4:56.212 TTK - 5064 DPS 2.Shediack - Gunslinger - Saboteur - 4:56.218 TTK - 5064 DPS 3.Heisenberg - Mercenary - IO - 5:04.180 TTK - 4932 DPS 4.Terold'ble - Mercenary - IO - 5:04.502 TTK - 4926 DPS 5.Spikor - Mercenary - IO - 5:10.510 TTK - 4831 DPS 6.Ardofett - Mercenary - IO - 5:11.972 TTK - 4809 DPS 7.Ayix - Assassin - Hatred - 5:11.976 TTK - 4808 DPS 8.Thalamir - Sentinel - Watchman - 5:14.492 TTK - 4770 DPS 9.Ros-tam - Marauder - Annihilation - 5:16.787 TTK - 4735 DPS 10.Dreadlightyear - Marauder - Annihilation - 5:17.744 TTK - 4721 DPS Mercenary/Commando Juggernaut/Guardian Gunslinger/Sniper Sage/Sorcerer Marauder/Sentinel Scoundrel/Operative Assassin/Shadow Powertech/Vanguard Updates:
