  1. Lol I wasn't around for that discussion. I pop up randomly to enjoy the game xD; but it was just something I noticed once I actually compared the prices. Like, I get that items are rare, I do, but so rare that they're almost the equivalent of a game? I just don't see how that should be the case.
  2. So normally I wouldn't really bother with this, but I saw an item in the cartel market, a lightsaber, worth around 5,000 or so cartel coins. That is around 40 dollars. 40! It's almost the price of a new game for one item that you may only use for one character. I get it. You need to make money in order to keep funding things, but 40 dollars? It's as nuts as promoting gambling for those mystery boxes where people keep spending money in hopes of finding that one item/collection of items that they want. There are so many things on sale plus plenty of people no doubt pay the subscription just to have access to everything without getting stuck somewhere. Tone down your prices. It's really ridiculous. Make the armors and weapons available in the cartel market - more than enough people would rather spend the money than the hours collecting in-game money just to hope they can afford it in the gm - just don't rip off your fans.
  3. Yes. I wanted to make a Zabrak, but I was put-off by how pixelated the patterns on her face was. When it showed her face in a cutscene, the patterns went from smooth to blocky along the edges. I didn't even like the patterns all that well to begin with ._.;
  4. Hello everyone. After experiencing the new expansion and witnessing my character next to the new companions I must say... yikes! Don't get me wrong, the CC is a classic... but it's also a relic. The heads are very similar to one another and the eyes clip during scenes. Some complexion textures are pixelated and some of the alien species have not even received an update whereas humans, for example, keep getting most of the fun bonuses. There needs to be more diversity... and more connection to the updated textures and semi-realism when it comes to the newer companions. I know that by doing this it will most likely alter the heads of every NPC out there, especially if they replace the original files... but it'll kind of be refreshing too. Make the original Acts a new experience, in a way. I mean really, have you seen the Twi'leks? They're the most popular species for slaves and dancers, and yet when you look at their complexions (especially the females) you kind of wonder... why? And why on earth would you put makeup and leku patterns on the same bar!? Why put patterns and makeup on the same bar for any species? It takes away from diversity as well as remove potential options if we really despise a pattern or makeup and want to use what it's attached to. Same thing with complexions and eyebrows. I cannot count the number of times I wanted to use one without the other but couldn't, so I settled for something else. Also, with the new armor becoming more and more realistic and properly fitting plus the companions in the expansion series... It just really feels like our characters don't actually fit into the updates anymore. In the original Acts, sure... but afterwards? It's like throwing a character from Dragon Age Origins (with no mods) into Dragon Age Inquisition completely as it was in the original game and expect it to not feel awkward when seeing it and the companions side by side.
  5. Hello. After playing through some of the expansion chapters, it occurs to me that the character creator is sort of... outdated. You have these incredible companion characters and villains who look so amazing and unique... and then you have your character right next to them with outdated graphics that makes their faces too simplistic. To tell the truth, it reminds me of the Mass Effect series. Incredible companions... simplistic Shepard. I understand that, by changing the options in the character creator, NPCs might change in-game since they rely on the same source files. It would sort of give an upgrade to the original Acts, though. Make everything a little more fresh for people coming back to play another round of swtor. After all, that is one of the reasons people mod games: visual change. It brings a new atmosphere to the game. Some things to consider: |. New head shapes with additional sliders for facial features. Eye types, noses, mouths. Really give the players an option to create their own character. I know many would prefer the DAI setup for resizing features, but I'd just settle for additional sliders. |. Complexion overhaul. Of course, depending on the new heads, some or most of these won't even need to be touched. Eyebrows should be separate from complexions, however. I cannot tell you how many times I wanted to use an eyebrow set or complexion, but hated what it came with. |. Jewelry/tattoos and tattoos should be kept separate from cosmetics. It puts restrictions on our freedom to use all of the options that we want to use because they are locked with something that, to our character, completely clashes with the choices thus far. |. I'd request more hair in general, but I've noticed two odd things: The animation for the new hairstyles is faulty. Stretching, clipping, the works. The second is that, while the original new hairstyles were okay, the newer ones are washed out. Colors are brighter and unrealistic. Like someone is wearing a cosplay wig. |. Cathar should not have to share the exact same hairstyles as Zabrak. In the game, we see them with unique hairstyles, and yet that unique cultural flair is completely gone in the character creator. EDIT - Additional suggestions courtesy of SteveTheCynic. |. More body types with the option to select separate heights from body structures. Meaning, we can have a short and fat person or a tall and skinny person. |. Option for body tattoos that come as part of the skin selection. This way, if characters are shirtless, they can look unique. Meaning, their faces won't look cluttered while their bodies are bare. This would require the optional view of the character in their underwear. |. Ear piercings should be kept separate from hairstyles. Also, more ear piercings in general.
